Probably it was the first Atrax you killed since the Codex has been implemented?

on caly the codex took over the common Iron/hunting missions...you need to shoot/scan 1 mob to unlock it
you can access it by using the blue icon list at top icon bar or with using action book (key n) and then codex button -> drag it on a key or the eu desktop
you now get your skill rewards there after killing some

Jeeze, I realized that it just like all the mobs and and rewards I already have BUT because of the little blip on the opening screen about the starving atrax going missing I got a bit confused, as always. Thanks very much for the help.
