News: Summer Mayhem 2024

In easter defense you fly to rank 25. This one is though its start inflicting damage at small ranks. Finishing 25 will be a bit tricky

Activate shadows and go under trees or any big stone that will create a shadow on ground

And i was right, this event is not for low level players. Ill be surprised if they go over rank 10, they could maybe full medstim but mobs respawn lmao.
 
I don't understand how time works here. I am doing stage 6, I have 25 minutes left, I am 5 seconds from killing the boss and I got the message "Time threshold passed" and 5 seconds later I kill the boss and "Stage complete". At the mission there is "Stage 6 (16 min). And when you start it is like 60 minutes. 16 min for what? And I am overkilling.

i believe its 16min per section, so when you move in the last section with the boss those 16min run but dont show.
 
16 mins rank 20 and i wont pass phase 2 in 15-20 mins lol
 
Yes- 3x rare token loots from the end boss confirmed already,, all from random levels

once you hit lvl 20+ they have added some "extra" mechanics to spice things up finished lvl 22 so far...its hard.....=)
and time consuming.....

TBH its honestly a terrible idea to do the later lvls ...the rewards are trash....not even an accomplishment type of thing.......It will cost YOU PED to complete them...for trash rewards.....(i mean come on ...at least have some summer 2024 boxer shorts or glasses or something/anything.....honestly

The stones you have to kill to progress periodically don't spawn...and after me just quitting and restarting a few times i decided to shoot my rocket where they are supposed to be and it miraculously destroyed the invisible stones.....it at least gets you moving through to the next stage....

in the last stage (boss room) if you stay up top before jumping down into the room to long in the later stages (20+)it will also bug a very needed graphical "mechanic" feature that is game changing to say the least .....learned the hard way a few times ....30/45 mins into the instance and terrible bugs to find out then.....

The worst thing i've noticed is when taking the Crystal "Buffs" it pops open a quest box in your face....remember your running and kiting and avoiding sun and dying....and thats not the worst part....it pulls you from freelook and relocates your mouse cursor.......It's seriously terrible design and coding.....This will kill you if you don't react fast enough ......

The timer mechanics are um difficult .....and not described or explained at all..... so in the quest description it says 20mins per stage (in the lower levels**) so say you do the first stage in 5 mins then 2nd stage in 10, third in 15, (the entire instance has an hr long timer) when you reach the boss the instance timer will show
(5+10+15=30mins) 30mins remaining, but you only have 20 mins to complete the stage and gain the progression and quest rewards... Otherwise it will flash and say you have run out of time... but you can stay and complete the instance for the remainder of the instance timer just for loot......

I enjoy the challenge and im spending to to do so .....but i honestly don't recommend it .....its costly for near zero reward / and zero recognition......

That statement alone shows exactly why people should do this summer mayhem.
There are people who have farmed 200k mtokens in normal Mayhems for years without ever looting a rare.
And now we have bosses dropping Rare Tokens.

More than 3x rare tokens now confirmed (by the way).

Those can drop in time periods too (hope im not wrong here), u might see many how was on CP mini mayhem for few hours then its normal drop
 
Ok i am only rank 12, no problem with the instance @ all

I think it is a great setup if they fix the crystall bugs

I rly like the fact that people who use theyr bots and macros are not able to runn this instance like they used to in the other "free for All bots type of setup" this Shows that mindark finaly takes a step into the right direction.

I hope that we see more of that in the future because there is nothing worse then a "uber" flexing on his bot made skills, or a "uber" flexing on his bot made weapon, or a "uber" flexing on his bot made progress.

BTW why do we need 2 months for that, when in a week everybody will be done.

the time per section increases slightly as we go higher stages, was 16min till stage 16 then 20min stage 17+, think its less then 16min at the very low stages, didnt keep track there. The time per section is written in the mission text header on track
 
so to add...i finished all of it ....after learning the mechanics for lvl 21 (they added a pretty big mix up there)
lvls 21-25 are identical......like wtf......

same timer lvl 21-25
same mobs lvl 21-25
same mob levels lvl 21-25
nothing different....at all.....
honestly disappointed - still dumbfounded there's no recognition at all for completing it .....
 
I've had a lot of fun with it - maybe because I'm not used to being all buffed up . Having 33% crit chance one time I'd get 3 in a row and not more than 3 shots w/o a crit hit. I like the mechanics, it's tricky but easy enough once you get the hang of it.
Problems = I got stuck 2x in different locations, once up against a cliff and one behind a log. Really didn't do enough testing of it IMO.
Also I think it gets too hard too fast. I MAYBE could complete lvl 10 so to think there are 25 i'm LOL.
The rewards are lame, if even I don't expect much. I mean 2ped UA? A mob in there costs more than that to kill

I'm impressed with something new, I'd love at least a new terrain for Winter.
 
Not sure I get the hate, personally I liked it, environment graphics looked nice aswell.
 
Is fun yeah.

I was thinking this style of instance could even be made into some player skill challenge. Like, some preset avatar/skills/equip, and then super hard but with that randomness of buff turned to 11. I dunno if this needs to cost much or reward anything besides maybe a title you could display. Just a fun thing that tests players, instead of their avatar. Probably too much work and won't happen but could be fun.
 
Yeah it does get better once you find the rythm and chose the right buffs.
I stopped at stage 13, repeated stage 8-10 few times for the M tokens.

But rewards and loot to weak to keep on going...

Don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed it and my criticism is to be constructive and educational. It will help others that run into these issues art least and give them some knowledge if they see this at least.
I do want them to progress and continue implementing content like this!!! Its a great change
 
Since Friday, there have been 20 Rare tokens looted, and quite a few of them from this Mayhem. I would say that this Summer Mayhem is excellent.

We have had people doing Mayhem for years without looting a Rare token. And now they are dropping from Bosses.

Thats good, more flooding of market with items to sell = way cheaper items to buy, I welcome it. 😅
