Greetings Entropians,

As we discussed in our previous statement, we are reviewing the Mayhem event format to create something more sustainable for the game and playerbase. With this, we remain committed to being transparent about these changes, and why we are making them.

As previously stated, shaping a way forward for Mayhem will include both short and long term changes, however, we are pleased to announce the following changes.

Firstly, we can confirm that there will be no further Resource Mayhem Events tied to the Mayhem Format. Any future “Resource” style events will be their own distinct event without Mayhem Tokens as a reward.

Whilst we believe that there is much merit in the format of the Resource Event - and was largely popular - tying it to the existing Mayhem Tokens was not the best way to implement this. We will take some time to think how we can bring the format back in its own way in the future.

Secondly, for the upcoming Easter Mayhem, we will be making the following changes:

  1. In order to promote active and engaging gameplay within the Mayhem Instance we will be replacing Annihilation with the “Assault” style format we trialled in Summer Mayhem. This should make things more fair for all players participating in Mayhem.
  2. For similar reasons, and in order to reduce the overall faucet of Tokens into the economy we will be removing Mayhem Tokens as a drop from Mayhem Creatures. You will still be able to obtain Tokens through the Mayhem Missions.
  3. We will be adding more interesting and varied loot to the Mayhem Creatures themselves based on the feedback received from players. This should make hunting these creatures more rewarding in itself beyond getting rewards from the missions.
  4. Lastly we will be shortening the length of the Easter Mayhem to Two Weeks to keep the event focused and challenging

We also want to thank you all for all of the feedback you have provided, the changes you see above are directly influenced by the suggestions and sentiments expressed by the community.

We will continue to review the format and further changes, which we will of course communicate to you all.

Thank you all for your continued support and passion for Entropia, that makes our game so great.

Hmmm… limiting the amount of mayhem tokens able to be gained per day (main mayhem mission + daily)… interesting

Wow, This is just amazing, this was actually in few post here:), not in that kind of words, but similar. Wow.. I take back my own words, you do actually read what players wrote here . Amazing.
Thanks. for that!

Congratulations to those who farmed 600-700K Mayhem Tokens back in May alone. They struck gold.

Thats what i was exactly thinking at !

Congrats to these who farmed 700k M tokens, and didnt make any Pulls !

We will see soon enought pulls, for the Easter Refill. (Whoever got enought Tokens, will have to camp again the vendors). Lame, but atleast is a change.

Lets see how it will go.

Now i wonder at what "rate" we will be able to gather token if this is only from mission ? How much time i will need to farm my desired weapon ? Does the item price stay the same ?

Also interesting to know what the RM token will be use for, probably a good ammount of various limited item with long duration ?

Let's wait and see :)

Good communication, and reasonably well in advance for those interested.
The direction itself and the effects of previous "not the best way to implement this" - dunno.
But thanks for some future clarity - hope there is more...

tying it to the existing Mayhem Tokens was not the best way to implement this.

Better late then never I guess
nevertheless the damage has already been done and is impossible to undo at this time

"Active gameplay" sounds good, let's see how it goes, you probably won back my deposits if it's real.

I think they could make "assault tokens" for the new assault vendor NPC these people who farmed that much due to an unbalanced event will have a ridicilous advantage now.
And it will still be a while until those m tokens are spent lol.

They could phase out M tokens this way. So that later on it will be used for pills and L exceptional tools.

As for their change I believe they will feel the impact on their next financial statement.
Imo they can keep annihilation as is but just don't drop m tokens from the mobs so that only the reward comes from the mission itself and daily mayhem tokens.

Instead of having 2 weeks it should be 2 weeks of instance time (so it pauses when you're not inside) imo. With a time limit of like 1 month.

I like these changes! Please also implement a timer on NPC pull. Like only be able to pull one item per day (pills excluded)

Great idea my legend

Please consider to go back and rebrand tokens based on the type of event they were gained from, you can leave existing vendor stock and refill stock for both types of tokens but new mayhem vendor stock should only be for mayhem tokens not for ressource mayhem tokens which should have their own new rewards.

well, in my opinion this is amazing news, well done on all fields.
More value to mayhem tokens, more reward for all who actually play, possibility of additional markup in mayhem instance as loot amazing addon.
My personal favorite is this assault change and is great in terms of anti-bot gameplay.

Small progress but getting there. As for this half baked idea, how exactly are you going to balance between new format and those people having hundred of thousand tokens, how they will be able to spend it without affecting new system too much?

I am glad to see Mindark going a more individual or personal reward for these events. I myself prefer to know what the reward is and what it would take to get it. Then I can decide if I want to participate by scheduling my life around an insane grind. Get rid of the carrot on a stick and instead just show me how to get the carrot.

Also, it would be nice to see rewards as something we can choose based on our profession of choice. The main reason I don't do Mayhem is I am not mainly a hunter. However, if I could choose a reward path that benefits my mining then I would be more inclined to participate.

Maybe "immersive AI"-like mission for mayhem but keep the old tokens as they are, no need to mix with new tokens, I think we have enough tokens for now. People have various amounts, some have small stacks and wait for a bit more to pull a low gun, some wat for a higher gun and they should not be shafted because they bought in the events we had, regardless of their format. People that engaed with the previous Mayhems (especially RM) spend a lot of MU, drove the economy up pushing miners and hunters to work for higher MU, payed a lot of MU to the economy and cycled a lot, they should not be punished for that.

Further RMs can have different vendor but it also has to be incentive enough more people want to engage with it. Was indeed a good format, what it lacked was expansion of the vendor...

More work for tokens is good with more interesting ways to spend the tokens. Maybe it's time to make the pills auctionable finally...

- i dont want to compete with the 600-700k RM tokens made by repeating the mission,
- i can go with the 30k made by completeating the first round which seems fair for everyone to keep them as they are but for those who greedly "paid" MU or whathever they paid i think it should be only fair to be converted in RM Toekens for future use in what supposed to be the RM revamped.

- i believe MA has a way to track the repeated RM missions to convert those tokens to what they are in reality not a mayhem event
- i dont even care if my 2 missions are converted to RM if this is what it takes to keep what i collected in Mayhem over time
- is dramatically unfair for many who never pulled anything in hope for an advantage, well deserved and hard worked Mtokens

just sayin'
