I LOVE IT!

There, I said it. I actually really do. I think it looks exactly like I hoped next-gen Calypso would look like, and I can't wait to see more!

Voted indifferent to be positive, I don't go to icarus so it doesn't specifically bother me, but, it makes me think 3 things.
1: Once players leave icarus, they'll wonder why the rest of the planet looks terrible. Maybe UE5 changes things
2. Noticed heavier load time zoning in to get this screenshot. All the new textures and vegetation definitely cause lag, and that's probably not something you want in one of the more populated zones (new players, puny farming, gauntlet etc)
3: Who was in charge of these trees? Cause they messed up. That's one of the first things you want new players to see?


Besides all this, looks cool.
 
It has been fitted with an avatar magnet. Last night I flew out of the game, was in Fort Troy. When I logged back in I was in Camp Icarus.

Thats just a overhaul in the cry engine , wait for the beauty of unreal 🤯
 
I think MA did an amazing job with the update to this area. I felt immersed walking through the puny’s looking around the entire time. Wish the rest of the planet looked this beautiful. Hopeful for some amazing unreal changes as well.
 
I just noticed Port Atlantis had a similar remake.

Definitely much more engaging now. And i'm glad to see from the poll that there's some love for this direction in styling for Calypso.
 
Nice graphics but why have all the trees to be more than 200 meters tall?
