Thats one of the things I don't understand.
It shows clearly, that MA devs do this by hand... while it would be easy to make a database update based on "if its in deer mall"...

plus this opens doors for more mistakes, usually you have interfaces for this and don't work with manual updates in live databases with REAL money involved... imagine, a normal bank would do this with your account, lol .

however, at least it's going forward... slowly.

I am taking the value amount they found in the original transaction 4 years ago.

The shop is no more.....

For me the mess is over, I'm pleased they have given me this option - However there is no compensation added & the investment did not increase in value in 4 years as is the result of all the mess.

I do thank support for there work - it must be a difficult job for them and there team - So thanks for all the replys......

The frustration I hope is over - & when I get the amount passed into my Ped card from MA, I will be relieved & shut the door to it.

I have to say I am slowly losing faith in entropia , it was such great game 3 years ago when I started , but it has been down hill all the way since those happy days . skill nerfings , many mobs regening faster than you can take um out , pets have gone , sweating is just a painfull waste of time , It is just not the same , promises that are never kept , introduction of the wierd tiers when there was more pressing maters that needed fixing , the chat system is all but unusable (why did they change it ?)

sorry about ranting , good luck to moonfish I think you right to call it quits . take out your ped go spend it on something that will give you some fun ! you sure aint had much fun with your shops .

I've seen it and usually it's only when another company starts offering a similar service and taking customers that the first company starts taking notice.

In the four years I've been involved with EU this is the worst I've seen it, it feels like they're ticking boxes on a checklist rather than trying to interact and understand the playerbases needs. I'm not sure they even understand the product they're selling anymore.

I am not entirely certain why they are doing this to us to be honest. 3 years. 3 years and the best they can do is a back handed upgrade that was never asked for.

They are penalising active shopowners. These people are trying to use these shops and yet the current decisions are driving people out of these malls. They are actually inviting resellers to buy these shops and hold them until someone who really wants to buy them, does. Only then to find the shops are not sustainable really. The majority of shops in game are run for fun, and not for profit. Its sad really to see people then have to close the shops down because they cannot afford the rent every month. Then try to sell the shops themselves for a profit or to atleast break even... starting a sad unending cycle of poor EU economy and empty mall shops.

I would rather prefer my stats to go back to what they originally were. I accept MA's only compensation for my loyal waiting and depositing TWICE for the same shop, is a better location. This all just makes me sad and not ashamed to say cry out of feeling just defeat.

I am so very disappointed in mindark for doing this to thorkel shop owners. And I even felt guilty for having my shop work out so super well.

I really want this mall to be a great success with many happy shops with their nice items in and out of the way place like it is.

hopefully this cost is fixed or something MAJOR happens in oxford to make it a center for new players and old to make it worth all this.

Is not easy to not give up, after all the pain we got from MA/FPC. i for me lost a lot game fun, since my shop was removed, and make up not work, and no one knows when we get it back.

It is not easy to not give up, after Marco lost his face about telling not the truth. "we get back the stats of pre vu10" this are just Marcos words about the shop issue. I see different support cases, some get the stats back others not!

i for me be much tired about all that mess! And i lost near all fun at this game... but one is sure.. i never can trust MA/FPC in future... they did a big damage to me and the other shop owners, and maybe they did in this case more damage to the own company.

I understand exactly how you feel, especially about time and effort... But Mindark wont change, it is us players who must focus on the positive sides and forget about help from the developers. Maybe one day they will get a collective thumbs out and fix things but why waste time hoping for it, we are the ones who love the game, not them. We can make this game a great place without their help!

It must truly suck to have your profession removed like that...

I think we have to face facts, it is not the shop owners who makes money for Mindark... We're not an important part of the game to them, therefore we will never get the help we want. But if we are aware of this, then we wont expect anything from them and we can go on from there. Expect nothing, and you wont be disappointed.

Its truely a shame that the shop owners are being treated this way. I have wanted to buy a shop for some time and in about a month or so I might be in the position to be able to afford one.

I went to the new Deer Mall last night for the first time and I was actually surprised - I liked the inside of the new deer - but agree with current owners that their shop stats need to be rolled back to what they were pre vu10.

Trance, 10/10 for your shop mate - set up very nice - signs look great - wish all the shops were set up as well as yours - even if its mainly for show right now.

moonfish and now nadie two highly respected avatars have baled out , I dont blame them one bit , I was going to get a shop but this and other fiascos has stopped me in my tracks ! having a shop is about as much fun as having bamboo spliters forced under your finger nails .

first they are told they have to pay higher rent and have less items than before , then MARCO promises that they will get back the stats they had before , then diferent owners are given diferent stats ??????

The longer the more, i think MA/FPC will have that we get peds back and sell out and do transferring the cash out the game !!!

We little customer are just milk cows for this company.

Again, i still wait to get my stats of my shop back. If not... what will happens then? A lot will happens! i will go the same way as Moonfisch and Nadie if my patience in this case is death! And ofc... you will read some thing in the gaming press about all this mistakes. The trust to this company is over! And it is time to inform all the potential new players, do not invest in this game.

We all need new investors, but a company where lost the trust to the player base cant get new investors! MA/FPC when do you wake up, and work out to get the trust back?
But maybe neg. rep. is the way to get free promotion?!

It was never possible to fix the old issue that the old tomb shops had unfortunately. When the Deer was reinstated in Planet Calypso using the CryENGINE2 game engine, the whole deer interior also needed to be redesigned. Since the caves were removed all together and will not be brought back, and we still want to give you the opportunity to purchase a shop in the same area as your old shop had, we have proposed a shop that is located above the ground in the new Deer Mall.

All of you that previously had Thorkell's Tomb shops that we repurchased back in 2007, have been offered to purchase mall shops with a maintenance fee of 50 or 100 PEDs and with 50 or 100 item points (in the main shop room). During the first year in the mall you will not have to pay any maintenance fee.

Despite our best intentions, we sincerely regret that we have not been able to meet your expectations with the new shop. We can tell you that the stats of the shops will be updated now in February according to the information given above, but then they will remain as they are. So please take a few days and think about if you still wish to continue you business with the shop you have received, or if you would like to decline the offer and receive your funds back.

If you have any other questions related to this, please let us know.

Marco, Is it my fault you guys sold us faulty shops? Why is it we are getting this outrageously high rate for a shop we bought 3 years ago? It doesn't make sense. You guys promised us to fix the shop and offer it back. We did not ask you to redo, nor did you tell us you would be, the shops and offer us a new one at with different stats.

Everyones left with a sour taste - some players selling up - loss of income - No confidence in the system - lack of information & contradicting Support statements - Players treated unfairly and slowly, sorry investors treated unfairly & slowly.

Yup the thorkel replacement shops have some pretty outrageous rents it makes me think that its probably due to two possible causes

1. All new avatar have oxford and therefor access to the mall without a tp run

2. oxford will get a huge upgrade to make it valuable place to have business.

I hope oxford / bilton get some major fixes back up to what it was pre vu then those shops in the deer can be super busy otherwise those rents is just too high

In which case the Thorkell Tomb Shops should've been the same hence me telling MA to take them back yet again and return the ped which they did.

I refuse to pay 150 ped a month for my two shops when originally it was something like 18 ped total. I know they weren't officially ours as we had to give them back but none of that was our fault and until the deer mall they still had our names on, even in the Mall that was eaten by concrete worms

Personally, I wound't have minded a cheap shop with the original 10 or so item points, just for fun.
