It looks like more, they forgotten to make a pay fee option.

When marco said you would get your shop rent free for a year , he did not say you could actualy put items in it nor did he say you would even be able to enter it .

Looks like the fight is not over ? God know how many people that was thinking of getting shop have been "put off" by this viasco .

MA/ FPC need to stop introducing changes that devalue virtual assets like shops/ apartments/ skills/ pets/ mindforce chips etc. before it is too late and people start leaving in droves ( I could name a number that have already left one was a major million+ ped depositor who had been here from the begining )

My sympathies go to trance and all the other shop owners who have been (still are) fighting just to get what they bought , so far all they have got is grief and disapointment .

I can only express my sentiments on this matter. I am glad that after 3 years I finally got my deed back. And I am certainly greatfull that the shop is a lovely size in an easy lovely location.... However....

1) I cant use it. It seems that without paying rent we cannot acctivate the shops to use them. My thoughts would be that MA should make the rent 1 ped a month and give us 12 peds to use on it.

2)I have waited 3 years. Its nice that MA has given us the 1 year free, but 3 years to fix a bug is a long time. Its been so long I can no longer remember the original Item count. I know the Mall shop before it was destroyed was about 70.

Honey kitten sent me a PMed me about the news. I didn't believe her at first, went to the mall and got extremly giddy at the thought of having that mall shop. Then Sob told me it was destroyed and in a way so were my hopes for owning that mall shop. Now I see this shop with 50 items and 5 on the outside and honestly this has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me and to top it off finally getting the shop back.. I cant use it.

I cant imagine waiting another 3 years for it.

But they diddnt tell me the offer... Nice to get the reply and when I get the full reply I can decide what to do - its a bit messy - is the Support in Mexico or somthing as it all seems a bit slow....

I asked my friend the answer to the there reply and got it in 2 mins - but i need it in writing from support.... So still awaiting the offer of the value of it 4 years ago.. Seems i can get that back -

I can see whats happened MA/FPC have set the rent to ZERO as they said they would BUT because the rent is set to ZERO there in no way that you can activate the shop as you cant pay in a ZERO value ?

the simple answer is to set the rent to say 1 ped a month as was mentioned earlier .

once again we have been reading too much in the statment it does not say

the item count will be returned at next upate it says "probably"

in other words they are saying you will get your item count back at some undeterminded point in the future (probably)

later it says "we could transfer the deed to you immediately so you can start using it directly" there usage of the word "using" does not aparently mean you can not enter your shop and sell items from it, by "using" they must mean you can transfer the deed between your storage and inventry as that could be interpreted as "using" the deed .

it is beyond my comprension that MA/FPC/MARKO or who ever is doing this to the shop owners , what can they hope to gain ? everybody losess as far as I can see .

I can only sugest that trance and the others keep on sending in tickets untill it is resolved

I guess setting the rent to 0 or 1 ped, is that someone might decide to pay the rent for years in advance.

If I was working at MA, I would keep the rent at whatever it is now - but I would update the database so the fee expiration date is set to a date a year or two in the future. No VU needed for this.

It sounds like other Deer Mall shop owners are experiencing totaly different problems to me, but as the one lonely old shopkeeper in the mall I thought I'd post my situation for your information.

I had a shop in the Thorkell's Tomb area, and accepted the offer of Deer Mall, Floor 1, Shop 11 as a replacement at the earliest opportunity. (Three years, as it happens )

Anyway... my shop seems to work OK. I have gained access. I have had visitors while it was public and I have had guests while it was set to private. I didn't expect to be the only shop in the mall at this time, but I guess this thread explains a lot.

Although the shop itself seems to be working fine it is primarily intented to display PC items. I currently have a problem with the PC system so my shop is closed to the public until this issue is resolved rather than opening up and appearing to offer blank signs for sale at silly markups.

I'm fairly relaxed about my own situation atm. Support seem to be taking me seriously... just hope this doesn't drag on too much longer.

I hope you guys all get your issues solved soon.

I received another support reply...167243

They have found the purchased price for my shop from auction 4 years ago - and ask me if i require the shop or the value. I asked what the value is as I would like to know it, before i make a decision (I need the amount in writing to me in the support letter),

Now they write again to say they are requesting the log files from them selves, I understood they already have those as thats what the search was for in the 1st place.

I'm lost for words over the confusion now.

The buy back amount I understood was the amount in the search case 178401 - I know what it contained - & I understood the point of the search was to find the amount, so an offer could be then relayed to me.

Now I have another support reply - telling me they are looking for the log files - but I understood they already have them as above.

Its all frustration, & I do appreciate the work support do in confusing situations......

In brief:

• Thorkell's Tomb shops vanish for 3 years
• The New Oxford shops vanish in 2009 & are no more
• They are replaced 2 times (with confusion) unreasonable item points, and differnt size shops for differnt people
• We are offered a replacement shop or the purchase price
• Shops are replaced in skeliton - but with info based a formula MA have made - not simply replaced like for like - made it blooming confusing for no reason (we are told it was communication channel problems).
• We are offered the purchase value of the shops or the replaced shops - well this is also confusing as I for one traded the 20-30K deed with no peds in the trade window many times with my business partner and once with a friend here who was going to use the shop - So I was offered zero peds for my 20-30K shop - very un reasonable.

Marco acknowledges the mess & seeks to fix it all....

My situation now is - I waited for the support case 178401 to find the amount the shop was purchased for 4 years ago - no mark up - investment worth zero (oh well) - The amount is found - Now I am again in support planet, waiting for more logs to be found - which were not requested in the 1st place.

A simple solution to all this and everyone, would like is to replace the shops like for like or pay the owners the market value of the shops, to offer zero for an item valued at 20-30K is criminal really - anyone could make a guess at the market value - the shops would then be sold on at that price to players that wish to buy one - and everyone is happy.

To add to this - I have a suspicion that i have been offered a small shop with 180 item points - and not a large shop with 180 item points - I also suspect there are other large shops that are being given back with small item points - this is just going against the whole idea and set up of the shop sizes and the way they were sold to us....

What a mess, a fare just conclusion to the situation is needed and we can all get on with life again instead of this drawn out moaning situation many have found them selves in.

Ok Delta Force Unity Shop is finally back deed again held by my fiance Zam.

I am pretty disappointed about this loss of item points but in my case its not quite as bad. 150 down to 100 inside 10 outside. However I think I am the only shop on the second floor. All alone O.O I sure hope theres more shop deeds claimed and shops opened up there soon or I am not going to be getting any walk by traffic.

this one year paid is a nice offer but then I think hmm wait. they reduce my shop size. put it in a mall. do all this changes.. will my rent be changed after the year is up? what will my monthly end up being? I have had this shop a long time and always run it as a way to help our new players so please MA / FPC don't make them high rent don't change that whatever you do. If it becomes a rent different than it was I will not be able to run it for new players and their gear anymore and the whole point in the Delta Force Unity Shop will be lost.

Please don't ruin it anymore for us please?

Is this really the case guys and gals. Isnt 100 ped more than the other malls or am i imagining it. I sincerely hope this gets sorted out and those figures are incorrect.

Of course if they are its yet another frontier Ma/FPC have muddled with. Isnt this and FPC issue now? MA shouldnt be involved should they as this is limited to a planet specific property and thus if anything of this nature happened on Next Island or SEE Virtual Worlds, would MA have to get involved as well?

I think not. FPC ie Marco should be able to rectify this soon because this is getting ridiculous now.

Yep. I asked specifically what my maintenance fee would be after the 12 month free period and got the above generic answer. As this still refers to 100 and 50 point shops it may be just a case of left hand not knowing what right hand is typing The answer was not specific to my question.

Time for Marco to play that 'get out of jail' post, again. Interesting to see if he has the leverage on his one.

my original shop had something like a 5 ped rent, now i know its out of the ground and in a mall but prior to this deer mall, NO mega mall had a shop reserved with my name on it with 70 points and the rent wasn't even 40 peds.

i expect to pay honestly a bit more rent for the changes but not 1 ped per item point for a shop that has given me nothing but mainly grief.
