most of the worthless orange trash who hang around the rig have grab bots that pick it up before you really have a chance to see it. perhaps one is bugged so nobody can see him/her?
i hate rigrats, i had one run up when i had the rig closed, said he was gonna "log out" next to the rig, he ran up.. it dropped, he grabbed it and i killed him, i dont trust anymore noobs, it just goes to show you what i got for being nice to one.

Rig is probably not broken
Rig is probably turned off by MA as it represents free source of PED that makes them earn less money. And who gets it? The ones that dont need PEDS anyway, the ones that have enough skills and EQ to make their own PED like all the other 'orange trash'.
I say good stuff, sweating should be the only free PED source, and no one should be privileged.
Btw, MA has broken sweating before, also dung and fruit collection... do you really think that is accidental (end of conspiracy theory)

noone is owning anyone here, you let him win by caring or atleast replying to what he says, just let leave it be and he wont have anyone to talk to.
on sidenote, i always felt that the oilrig should be for newbies.. like a way to tryout PE, and i think even the newbies might start fighting more if they knew that it wasnt a high risk that someone in eon or shadow, or even someone playing uber in 6Aplated vigi (like me? ) wouldnt come and shoot em down and destroy their hard work.

Perhaps MA will have the oil rig drop oil once in a blue moon, but make it a big drop.
Rare enough drops (once every 2-3 days say) that there is really no point in closing it, as you might not get anything, ever.
Often enough to make it worth a visit once in a while.
Who knows. Personally never been there.

Anyway, i'm really curious to see what MA has to say about the rig. If the code is so spaghetti-fied that they shut down the rig while adding a new physics engine i phear for the future.

But on a another, not OT, note, I think the trouble it takes to get to the rig makes the reward worth-while, since it's not even certain that they'll get anything.
Also, if they did close the rig, pvp2 would die, and turn into nothing but a boring trox-hunting-for-people-with-big-guns, land.
