TheNun's Weekly Appreciation of the Almighty Lootius

Dear Lootius, dear Lootians,
We had a fantastic party yesterday evening / night at The Howling Mine, and I'm honestly still recovering :shots:

Take a song instead !

Stay positive - stay awesome!

Happy Nunday & Lootius bless:saint:

I will not be writing my weekly the next couple of weeks. So here's an almost mid-weekly from TheNun.

Rarely you hit something cosmic, but with this track I did ... Did you pray to Lootius today?

Dear Lootius and faithfull Lootians,

The future of Entropia belongs to us – the players. For years, we’ve shaped the universe with our actions, ideas, and community spirit. Now, a new player-driven Entropia Universe hub is taking form. Built on experience, passion, and the belief that we are the game, this project aims to unite the community, empower newcomers, and evolve alongside the worlds we love. This is a place for Entropians, by Entropians 💘

Dear Lootius and fellow Lootians,

First of all - thank you for joining our event yesterday! Again, it was truhly awesome to see so many Entropians come together and have a blast at Club NEVERDIE on the Howling Mine. When you think it can't be better, it just did.

We had one global in our Shifter-pre-party-hunt team, a Findere's Keepers treasure hunt on the mine, a packed dance contest, people rocking up in Dune-inspired outifts, and of course our AWESOME live DJ AlfaOmega that again totally rocked the roof of the club!

Disi picked up folks from Arkadia and Caly like the space chauffeur he is, and we had a small cozy afterparty at CoL appartment (West Wing, app 2) afterwards. Not to forget the loads of people turning in on Atlas Haven Radio's Discord Server to party live with us in voice and cam. Join the server today and be ready for our next event. And remember, the server is not only for events, but also for the music and to hang out with fellow Entropians. Even if you're not joining our in-game events, you're still very much welcome to come and hang out with / without us.

I'm 'recovering' today - working. But I want to state once more - even if you're tired of hearing it - that this is what Entropia is about, too!

And to the ones shaking their heads thinking "You guys don't take this game seriously enough' - you're very wrong. Events like these, bringing fun, joy and the community together - is some serioius shit. If it's only about stats and returns, you'll turn old and grumpy :smoke:, and no one wants that energy floating around the universe.

I'm just super grateful to work with awesome people / friends making all this possible. And I promise, it won't stop here - quite the opposite. The opportunities to build together will only grow. And yes, I'll keep working my Nunish ass off to make it happen - and so will the Church of Lootius Media & Event Team and other engaged people of the community too.

So here it is - my accidental Sunday blog post lol :girl:

Enjoy a little work-music while you're at it!

We're Building A Better Entropia - together B.A.B.E.

Humble regards,
TheNun :saint:

Dear Lootius,

I woke up this morning with a swirl in my head and steam in the air. And I don’t mean the kind that rises from the dance floor at Club NEVERDIE during a Saturday night live party. Nope, this is the real kind that signals major change. Entropia Universe will very very soon launch on Steam.

Steam. That mystical portal of endless gaming possibilities and the home to millions of players who haven’t yet been introduced to the joys of grinding, sweating, and looting their first mob in Entropia. It was just announced, and of course, half the Universe is already up in arms. As always. Because if there’s one thing more reliable than “bad loot”, it’s Entropians resisting change ...

Dear Lootius,

No blog post from me today. Not because I’ve run out of words (as if that would ever happen  ), but because things have been extremely busy behind the scenes.

With Entropia Universe going live on Steam this Tuesday, our timeline at EntropiaPlayer.com got pushed forward a bit. The site and forum weren’t meant to go live just yet, but here we are and time is now spend on adapting, updating, and doing our best to be ready to welcome new players with open arms.

We’re working around the clock
  • Finishing wiki pages (just wrapped up Space today)
  • Fixing backend stuff on the new community forum (Thanks to the ones that helped testing it  - everybody can sign up now)
  • Preparing this Saturday’s noob-themed party at the Howling Mine
  • Planning next week’s Fisting event (yes, perfect for newcomers)
  • And doing our best to make everything shine a little brighter
So I haven’t had time to write a full Dear Lootius post. But I’ll be back – as always.

It’s busy times. And I love it.
And I love Entropia.

The Launch That Sparked a Revival

Dear Lootius,

This Tuesday marked a new chapter for Entropia Universe, as it officially launched on Steam. And seriously, what a week it’s been! I had the honour of standing at Icarus, promoting the Church of Lootius, Atlas Haven Radio, EntropiaPlayer.com, and of course, our ‘Welcome Home, Noobs’ Sweat Party on Howling Mine. What unfolded was one of the most refreshing, exciting, and hopeful weeks in a long time.

Toast to New Beginnings

The very first day, we kicked things off with a spontaneous pop-up party. Bottles of virtual champagne were opened, and veteran players gathered to welcome the new arrivals. The vibe was electric, with curious newcomers dropping in steadily – some wide-eyed, some cautious, all eager to explore our world ...

There will be no blog post tomorrow. Instead, just a few words today ...

I can't say this enough. Live your life fully and share it with the people you love. One day, they won’t be here anymore – or you won’t – and all that will remain is the imprint we leave behind.

This morning, I lost my dad ❤️

He was the strongest man I’ve ever known. Not just physically, but mentally – a man of unwavering will and quiet strength. He didn’t need to prove anything; his presence said it all.

He carried my mother through life with deep devotion, all while holding our family together and keeping us safe and cared for. He was wise, had a sharp sense of humor (that I like to think I've inherited ;) ), deep empathy, and a strong sense of right and wrong and no selfishness whatsoever. He loved everything good in life, good wine, making good food (yes, even as an old military man, he did all the cooking, just like his dad did it), travelling, going to the theatre, music. And above all, he was a deeply loving father and a loyal husband to my mother through their 66 years of marriage - and truly, their whole lives. They’d known each other since the day she was born.

Only much later did I fully grasp the depth of his devotion to her – a kind of love that feels rare in this world. His loyalty and commitment knew no limits. He held on fiercely, right to the end, because he simply didn’t want to leave her behind.

Watching someone so strong slowly fade and wither over the course of a few short years - and especially the last few months and weeks - is one of the hardest things I’ve ever witnessed. But this morning, he finally found peace – at the age of 94.

And he will always be loved ❤️

It’s a comforting thought that somewhere out there, he’s sitting with my brother, that passed away earlier this year, sharing a beer (well. my dad would probably have a good redwine 🍷), laughing at ridiculous and perhaps a bit naughty dad-jokes, just like they always did 🥰

As my youngest said so simply and beautifully today: Now my brother isn’t alone anymore. Now they have each other.

Love and Hugs
Lykke

So sorry for your loss Lykke. 💔❤️‍🩹💝

Dear Lootius,

In the endless swirl of PED, mobs, and loot windows, it’s easy to forget that Entropia Universe isn’t just built by developers. Our Universe is shaped daily by the hands and voices of its players. Some stream, some write, some guide new arrivals through sweating fields and confusing interfaces. Some make events, some are mentoring newbs or even help make the wheels turning by doing small services for others. These are the unsung heroes who turn a complex RCE into something warmer: A great community.

My newest track - dedicated Lootius:

Dear Lootius,

“Thou shalt not lip-sync – for true Loot flows only from the Rock.”

Last night, the walls of Club NEVERDIE at the Howling Mine trembled. The club lit up, the audience screamed, and together we raised the roof with a Rock&Pop party. AlfaOmega shook us Lost in Bass, Tia Westmoreland celebrated 15 years of Atlas Haven Radio with her legendary set, praising the 20 year’s history of NEVERDIE, and Solis & Melanie Starmonger carried the night with their Redline fire. Flamethrowers blazed, a great snake and even a dragon made their way onto the dance floor, and some of us ended up dancing on the bar tables. Afterwards, we squeezed into TheNun’s apartment for a holy afterparty.

Yes, this was without a doubt one of the best parties ever!

Dear Lootius :saint:

The past months and especially this week has been about moving forward, leaving old habits and energy behind on a personal level, and starting fresh with renewed spirit. Life is about pushing ourselves out of comfort zones and embracing new ways of creating, evolving, and connecting both in real life and in game.

On Tuesday we said goodbye to my dad in a beautiful and peaceful ceremony. I find comfort in knowing he is now together with my brother. This year has been marked by many goodbyes; to people I love, to a job I cherished, and to other connections that, in different ways, were blocking my view and inner harmony ...

You probably thought I forgot ... :saint: But today is Nunday ...

Dear Lootius,

The 19 year old society, Church of Lootius has always stood in the light, known for being playful (some would say naughty), supportive, and always in the spirit of events and community. But a true church is never only about light, because there is also depth, mystery, and where there is brigthness, there is also darkness. Where there is order, there is chaos, and in the worlds of Entropia, on Calypso, on ROCKtropia, and beyond, we decided we must embrace it all. That is why the Church of Lootius is evolving ...

It is, what it is - and it is Nunday :saint:

Dear Lootius,

Yesterday we hosted the Calypso Fashion Extravaganza Autumn 2025. It’s the third time we’ve run the show, the very first was just a year ago, and every time it grows bigger and brighter. What many don’t see is the months of preparation leading up to an event like this. Banners, posts, images, music, videos, coordination, planning, late nights, last-minute fixes … and then, after the event, all the follow-up: threads, rewards, thank-yous. And, of course, starting to plan the next one.

We’re just a small media and event crew under the Church of Lootius banner. We dream of being able to offer everything an umbrella like that should hold, but sometimes, the lack of time and hands slows us down. We fund hosting, advertising, prizes, and all the little costs ourselves, or rely on donations from generous Entropians. It’s not for everyone to sacrifice so much “just for a game” you already pay for. We know that – and that’s why we rarely ask.

But yesterday, we had to.

And Lootius listened, and Entropians answered.

Dear Lootius - today is my favourite day ... Because it's Nunday! :saint:

Some games celebrate their champions with leaderboards. Some hand out titles like “Slayer of Ten Thousand Slimes” or “Master Cheesemaker, Tier 7.” It’s cute, entertaining – but forgettable. Entropia Universe does something different. We carve names into history.

The Church of Lootius’ Entropia Walk of Fame Awards aren’t just another “Player of the Month” badge to screenshot and forget. They’re a recognition of persistence, creativity, and service. They honour the kind of people who didn’t just play this Real Cash Economy MMO but built around it. The event hosts, toolmakers, mentors, archivists, writers, streamers, video-creators, musicians, machinima makers, modders and comedians, etc., who keep the universe loud, visible and alive.

I apologize for the lack of last week's Nunday, but I was enjoying a great time in Paris, drinking Espresso Martini and eating croissants ...

Anyway - Today's Nunday again ... :saint:

A little devil, two cameras, a crowded Discord, and no one keeping their clothes on.

Dear Lootius,

Halloween again. The evenings are earlier and darker, the air goes colder, and everyone slowly feels a bit heavier and more melancholic. I love this season. Autumn always feels like the world goes quiet because of the silence, the wind, the feeling of the world preparing to sleep. It’s dark, a little sad, and somehow comforting at the same time. And right there in the middle of it comes Halloween, like a spark.

If I was allowed to say this time fits perfectly with my dark little heart, I would, but as you know, I am a Nun. I at least attempt to behave like one. and then Halloween arrives to interrupt that silence with spookiness, fun, black candles, and grown adults begging for candy without a trace of shame ...
