All MA need to do now is move migration to instances, and then they can turn off the whole planet completely.;)

MA seem to have taken this bizarre road of not only boxing up items, but boxing up players in boxed up events as well, and now forcing players to hunt in their own boxes based on their skills. Maybe all this in-vouge diversity politics bull of boxing everything and everyone up in categories has gone to MA's heads......................laughing.

Why do we need the planet anymore??????

I find needing to win 2 events to get enough tokens to then select a winning item quite hilarious actually, as for most winning one event would be incredibly rare.

Personally; I still refuse to pay a fortune for new expensive armor to be able to hunt the category MA are “forcing” me into should I wish to take part, let’s not forget our skills have been so nerfed a puny can kill us with no Armor even with well over 300K skills.

So if MA are going down this path of only instances matter to them and insist we compete in their mini-generated casino booths, THEN LOAD US UP WITH ARMOR AND WEAPON ON ENTRY to the damn instance then we can all shoot what they want us to shoot. After all MA can always argue any items we own are planet side items…..then you don’t need to buy the fruit machine to pay to play the fruit machine. All you need to do is buy the boxes to get some winning items with some MU…..hahaha.

Who would thought all those years ago, when traders used to say in old twin; trading item “at boxes”….that 15 years on, boxes would’ve taken over the game. :laugh:

ps: I did quite a few runs on those mulls in practice mode, I really have no interest in those tokens though.
Yea the fact with events in a instance its kinda BS ... Idk... they could implement also a event where you can hunt osseocolums for example, for Summer , they will drop tokens and points ... you will chose your server where to hunt them. I think it can be easyer and BUG free . and you think about TIMER ? screw the timer , implement a number of mobs killed , lets say 10k mobs . you have done. finished.

I also belive that the thing with progress its a good thing , but that Progress should go till stage 100 and further you go with the progres , more chances you have to loot points.

Pre-event testing.

I think this is a good idea, but it has to be done in a way such that it is actually used for testing and not for fishing out exploits that can be used during the event. In general we have a good community that will report exploits immediately, but there's always a few bad apples. Some incentive for testing is nice, but more importantly is perhaps some way of strong incentivizing reporting of exploits. I think 50% increase in drop rate of boxes and 100% increase in skill in the instances is probably overkill. But perhaps a reward such as a skill or profession called 'Bug Finder' or something that has some small benefit might be neat, but nothing super drastic obviously.

Timeframe of Event.

I fully support making the event longer, with one caveat. MA needs to make this work with the current rules of restarting the instance. While MA limited the number of resets, I believe a total maximum limit on number of hours is needed as a rule inside the competition instance. So you can't run the instance for 80 hours over the extended time period or however long it takes you to find a 5k. If you limit max hours to 30 that would be more fair and probably better for the player's health....

I just want to see some inventiveness that justifies the planet MA built.

What about an annual planet “marathon”. You need to shoot your way to all TP’s.

It would be brilliant, all TP’s are switched off during the event (say two weeks) and you have to relog them during the marathon (all vehicles are locked)

Everyone starts at PA TP, and fights their way across the planet to a set TP course chosen by MA.

It really would be a good laugh, and include a massive social side too.

It’s not hard is it. The planet is dead anyway, it’s not like many would be that inconvenienced.

edit: or once accepting the marathon event, you can't enter any vechicles. So that still frees up others that dont want to get involved.

Make it so once you enter a competition instance (not practice, unnecessary) all items (weapons, armor, healing tools, buff attachments, rings, cloaks, etc) in your inventory become locked to that player for the duration of the event. In other words, stop all the renting/borrowing of gear in events. As it is now, a majority of the top 10 places and virtually all of the top 5 places are won with only the top end gear for the category (at least in the higher cats), which is only sometimes owned and often rented or borrowed. This causes a lot of other very good but not optimal gear to become virtually useless for events unless you just want to have a go and hope to get lucky. As a result all this other gear is not tiered or tiered less (much less money for MA) and their market prices suffer (imbalance) because it isn't "event/category winning gear". Meanwhile the tiny percentage of gear in game that is event winning gear is hoarded by the few and used for passive income or to please their buddies. There are people in game that don't own a damn thing and are going to place top 3. Please fix this, it should not be difficult to program, just a flag and a timer.

Seconded. The (L) tools to compete are all available (guns, armor, pills etc) but the peds aren't :)

Spent most of my time in the lower practice levels where the ped strain was easier to manage. As long as these are an option during events I will be there. If not, then my peds and I will hibernate until the event is over.

Agreed for the most part, part of me is torn, but I can think of a clear example. I need a solid reason to T10 my M83 (I really want to, but it's disheartening in this climate) Currently my best option is just save up some peds so I can borrow a T10 one using my T4+peds as collateral and that's no fun or profitable for MA :p

i didn't even score a single point, because this event was quite a mess from the very beginning, in a long row of mishappenings since mindark invented their loot 2.0 update, which broke half of the universe, and still drops shadows of bitter taste until now.

i think if you, my dearest developers of this universe, can reduce your universewide mishappenings, while keeping all the positive changes coming like in the most recent years, and additionally fix at least a few of the things you broke by accident while developing things NO FUCKING PERSON OF YOUR PLAYERS AND STAKEHOLDERS ASKED FOR or you DIDN'T DELIVER, OR DIDN'T DELIVER AS ORIGINALLY STATED (please discuss in separate thread, you can quote me) ...

... then i'll maybe also join the next mayhem, and forsee a bright future for both you and your partners ... while keeping most of us happy, maybe by pretending that they really care about the majority of our issues. and no, one facebook vote every 4 years maybe isn't enough to decide... and no bunch of random mobs can fix this. but you can, if you want!

i think, as consumers, all the players should start putting their feet down and demand that the game is worked on. no more compets, no more deeptokens, without EU integration. it's really time to start focussing on the actual game. fix bugs, improve space, focus on a balance of loot drops and MU. and beauty issues!

I agree with a lot of what you said but this always gets me.

NOBODY should be asking for MA to manage markups. We need to encourage them to ignore markup like they're supposed to.

Asking the bank to fix market prices might create you a "stable" economy but it won't be a free one. Imagine if they're honest about it that you get a global for something that drops with 3 ped TT due to current MV and you're shooting for 97% AFTER Markup.

And the manipulation you could do at auction with a 6 figure stack of PED would be crazy.

Even I'm not that kind of a fiscal masochist.

OR... create a true 'renting' system in game and work it around events so that only one avatar can 'rent' the gear during any given event, etc. .. people have been asking for renting since before malls came out.

Could also do something interesting... like put a special counter thingy on each item so you can only use that one item in any mayhem type event once... next time you'd have to use another item. (work like how cld converts to cld(x))... would create a demand for crafting perhaps? (x) items would still work on mission mobs, but not instance events, etc.

Agree on original post. Regardless if spleen was boosted by other factors, the market for ordinary hunting loot (i dont mine) always gets better during events. So as hunter thats a nice bonus even tho spending most time in event.

Time tables were rough this time. Work and a bit of a weekend family schedule made competing impossible so basically idle last day to get the time needed. Extended time would be great.

Changes to rent (or ingame support for it), sure. A system that removed the need for collateral would be great however i suppose it would have a pretty big impact on the current market values on all affected items (up for rent or not).

Still this event form is the most fun so far for me. Start with fixing stability (bugs, testing) and adjust the time table and ill enjoy it even more.
