After reading about this last hacks, I got alittle scared when I saw this when I had downloaded the last update from MA.
I can delete the mess and still get into EU, but it still come's up everytime I try to logg in..
Any of you have an idea of what this can be and what to do with it??

P.s I'm gonna send this to MA aswell, and no I dont have a goldcard but I'm going to buy a one =) .. D.s

It seems it is only Norman antivirus that give you this varning

Yes, but should it not delete and that's that.
I a bit worried when it comes back..

And I have just talk to a soc mate and he's got the same mess..
He has the same virus prog as me..

You can easily replicate this by uploading the CLDLLPatcher.exe file (MD5: ec578e4a9e00bffbff8bd48cdf140565) onto the Jotti's Online malware scan service.

Norman is the only one finding anything (W32/Malware.GPO), and is surely a false positive...
If you want to go ahead, try and contact Norman's support and submit them the file, so that they can exclude it is a virus/malware! :wise:

All other Entropia's executables are simply fine.

Me too but differnt antivirusprogram..

Hi.

I remember getting some kind of warning efter downloading last VU, quick as normal I just klick ok and permit it. Afterwords I think about it but didnt do anything more to it, but it was a warning about some trojan horse or simular. I just thought that it was ok, hmmm and normal reaction from mu virusprg.

Rapido

thats not right!

What I dont like Is the fact that it says Patch is corrupt...

If it was indeed a patch... you would not be abble to log in untill your game was patched...

Turn of online scanning in Norman and you are fine, turn it on after playing. There is a thread about this with the same problem.

hi i just experienced same thing
seems Norman is causing it BUT..... i did find a trojan with spyware doctor so could it be attacking the updater?
i played sunday last and noone i spoke since had an update so why does it autostart?
the trojan i found is Trojan.popuper and it attacks IE and changes homepage
The cure i found for removing is not working which could mean they have
revived it with a new registryline which is not noticed yet
trying to find some more on the net regarding it

If you are on fast connections, is it worth downloading the whole 1 gig file again (possibly using a different antivirus like AVG) ?

If youre not already doing so, scan your system with Adaware & Spyware doctor and be careful to get them from the authors' own website. Both programs are 1st class.

Good luck!

I was sure 'norman' was a typo for 'norton' when I saw the first thread about this.. WTF is norman anti virus? :scratch2:

I had Norman once - it was a freebie that came with my laptop. I let it run through its trial period and then changed it for a different AV program.

I use Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite - (not the free one) and it's excellent! I have used lots of AV/Spyware programs and this one is definitely the best I have used. I highly recommend it!

AFK for porn...
