Hi Everyone Tsuki here, hope everyone is having fun!

I’ve really enjoyed reading other players journeys, hunting logs and general discussions on the forum and thought it was time I had a go at starting my own. Hopefully it will help me stay focused on my goals, meet some new people along the way and who knows it might help someone else out in the future, just like others have helped me.

My Background

I’ve been a gamer for a long time starting back in the 90’s when our household first got a NES. Since then, games have been a huge part of my life. I worked my way through many consoles over the following years until my dad eventually got a PC with dial up internet, which is when I discovered Ultima Online. For those who remember it, it was one the of the first sandbox MMORPG’s. The world felt massive (especially at the time), it was punishing, PVP was competitive and heavily skill based and the community was fantastic. This game really helped me discover my competitive streak, which led to a lot of Unreal Tournament and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 over the following years, always keeping a close eye on the leader boards.

I eventually returned to MMO’s, playing titles like Diablo 2, Ragnarok, EverQuest, WoW, Guild Wars and many others over the years. When Diablo 3 came out in 2012 I was really excited to get involved, I loved the series and it was set to have a real cash Auction House! The game lived up to expectations and for the first time I made real money from a game! This felt strange at the time, but very rewarding! It was awesome to actually make some money out of my hobby. Blizzard didn’t handle the auction house particularly well and eventually removed it, but by then I was fully hooked on min/maxing and ended up writing several community guides for fun.

It was around 2013 that I first discovered EU after searching for any other real cash related games out there. It was a really cool concept and seeing the huge numbers floating around was intoxicating. I started playing with a friend one night and we got dropped into the world in some woods, shot some stuff together, ran out of ammo and had no clear direction, my friend quit there and then, but I wanted to give it more of a chance. Not having much disposable income at the time, I tried sweating on and off, but it was boring and slow so EU just kind of fizzled out for me. I logged in now and then to try the free to play route again, but it just wasn’t for me. Hats off to anyone who is successful in this route by the way, it takes some serious ped card management, discipline and patience! I played a bit every so often over the following years, my wife even ended up getting into it and playing more than me at one point! But every time I never really committed. I ended up putting an eye watering number of hours into Dota 2 and Path of Exile instead. Dota 2 and POE are still two favourite games I’ve ever played. I also have a love for FROM software titles (Dark souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Elden ring etc.) I love the semi-hardcore nature of them and how they really make you reflect on your own gameplay to progress.

Fast forward to 2025 and I was watching some content on YouTube and a video about EU popped up. I was in-between games at the time and looking for something new to pass the time with so gave it a watch. It was Player Ones (Isa Naika Prey) “how to make money playing games” video. The game looked so much better and I got an insight to a side of the game I hadn’t really seen before. The depth and complexity, the vast stunning landscapes, the punishing nature of the world, but most of all the challenge and being the master of your own destiny. I ended up binge watching most of his content along with a lot of other EU content out there for the rest of the night. The concept really got a hold of me this time, I knew I could make money from games, as I had in D3 and a few others before, but could I actually do it in EU where you are fighting against the game loop to survive? I’d seen a lot of stories about people turning a profit, but through previous experience this is usually either exaggerated for content, very hard to do or only the very top 1% of players can achieve this kind of goal.

Still intrigued the next day and after rewatching the original video, I looked in the description and saw his offering as a mentor and decided to drop him a message to find out more. We spent hours and hours over the following days talking about the game, what my goals might be, what available options there were, was it actually achievable to sustain gameplay and could I achieve this within what I had available budget wise. He was extremely patient, answered every question I could possibly come up with and helped to map out potential paths I could take as well as rough budgets required to meet those goals. It was quite clear he had a lot of knowledge about the game, we got on well and would work well together, so he was a great fit for a mentor in my eyes. My main goal was to get to a point where I could sustain my own gameplay and maybe even make some profit. Now I had a plan, goals set, a budget and a level of confidence that achieving sustainable gameplay wasn’t just smoke and mirrors. It was 10/05/2025 and time to get going!

The Journey Begins

Initial overarching goals outlined:
  • Achieve self-sustained gameplay
  • Make some profit to afford upgrades over time
  • Have an avatar that is capable of flexing to opportunities as they become available
  • Being in a competitive position in all aspects of the game
  • Become a high-end player capable of completing as much content in the game as possible
  • Eventually get involved in PVP
After much discussion, research and reviewing options available to me, Mindforce seemed like the best route to take. (L) chips have much lower overall MU on them to get started and you can double dip mitigating the MU paid using both 20% absorption from NeoPsion implants and P20 extenders. On top of that reaching 200+DPS with an UL weapon for Mindforce weapons was cheap relative to other weapon options. The intuition unlocks for pushing defensive skills and also gaining Biotropic at the same time would be really useful later down the line too.

My first skill progress goals were set around reaching DPS checkpoints so I could switch skilling mobs along the way. The more DPS I had the faster I could cycle, accelerating skill gain with each step. I wanted to balance speed with MU as much as possible to mitigate the inevitable losses with low looter skills. Isa helped me find some options and it was well worth it! I cannot stress enough how much impact this actually had on my ped card. As a quick sample from 1 mob that I hunted for over 240k ped worth of cycle. The MU mitigated over 8k of loss from 19k down to 11k, every fraction of a % really does count! Seeing these results this became a hard and fast rule for me, always hunt MU wherever possible! The second most important rule was sticking to good hp/level ratio mobs and killing them as fast as possible. This ensured less spikey returns through volume of kills, rapid skill gain checks and fast overall progress.

The end goal was to hit level 90 hit in Electrokinetic (Hit) and acquire myself a Mayhem Electric Attack Nanochip 15, Perfected and Mayhem Kinetic 2 implant. This chip has great efficiency, awesome DPS and compared to other weapons from different skills was cheap to buy. On top of this it also scales well when tiering allowing me to go from 200 dps to over 300 dps with the same weapon over time.

I spent the following month working my way through (L) chips, amped if required, until I hit the requirements for a decent attack speed and higher DPS UL chip. Always going for the highest attacks per second I could get, whilst balancing damage per hit against my targets. Throughout this process I switched mob’s dependant on hp/level, my available DPS and MU available at the time. I also maintained use of 100% skill pills and tried to keep my attack speed buff capped where possible. I had also purchased a level 1 Tezlapod pet from Eve's shop as a levelling companion early on too. I figured I might as well train it at the same time, to save myself some ped! It didn’t take long to be ready for my first UL weapon purchase, an Electric Attack Nanochip 9 T5 which maxed at 39 Electro Kinetic Hit. If I could have found a 10 or 11 at the time I would have skilled a little longer and bought it to save some more time, but the T5 on the 9 helped bridge that gap. This really accelerated my gains until around level 70 Electro Kinetic (Hit) where things started to slow down. It was around this point I had also acquired a freshly pulled Electric Attack Nanochip 15, Perfected (woo!). With my skilling carrot firmly set on the stick, I did some searching on the forum for other options to skill with, I found Rick Sanchez was renting out an Electric Attack Nanochip 13 FEN for a very reasonable price. Rick worked with me and was very flexible, estimating I’d need to rent it out for a few weeks to get to 90 hit. I decided to bite the bullet and rent it out. Well, I was wrong, it actually only took 10 days to hit the target on 17/07/2025! This chip was an insane leap for me and I highly recommend renting one out for the 70-90 gap if you have the opportunity. I also hit another big milestone at 80 hit, 11/07/2025 Intuition unlocked! So overall it took 5 days 70-80 and 6 days 80-90.

Now at this point I started skilling some swords for hit points as I still felt like my HP pool was holding me back, I was only around 160 hit points and this didn’t give me much room to work with bigger mobs. I may also have got a little distracted trying migration out. It was fun but my looter and defence skills were nowhere near ready for it yet!

Having now hit 90 Electro Kinetic Hit and was now finally enjoying using my shiny Mayhem Electric 15 I was curious to see how long it would take to hit 100 from here. I wanted to tier it up anyway, so off I went again. I started at 92.2 31/07/2025 and hit 100 10/08/2025.

My next focus is to increase my hit points as it has become very apparent that the best armour is more hit points, followed by a good armour set and plates to add value to them! I’ll be focusing on swords for “phase 2” of my growth and pushing my hit points up to 300+. I’d love to be in the position to be able to use and own a Mod Nano one day, to be constantly pushing HPs higher. It seems to be far off in the distance currently, but it’s on my long-term goal list! I will be working on all weapon skills over time, to ensure I remain versatile and in a good position to jump on any opportunities that arise in the future, but swords seems like a great place to start.

As far as looter skills go, I’ll be pushing these along with Codex rewards and general training, but it’s not my main focus, these skills grow pretty well on their own over time. I could sacrifice PED to chase it, but why do that when MU keeps me playing longer?

Similar story with Defensive skills, intuition has really helped to push these up to a good point for me at the minute and I’m looking forward to being able to evade and dodge higher level mobs soon!

I think that about sums my EU story up so far, I’ve added in a bit of a timeline below, quick summary of current stats and skills and some goals I have set myself too. If there is anything else people would like to see in the future let me know! I hope it’s not been a snooze fest and I’ll keep posting up my progress and anything interesting that happens as frequently as seems worthwhile. I’ve got to say this is one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I have had so far, it genuinely feels so rewarding with each step of progress and I can really feel my avatar getting stronger over time.

Thank you to everyone who I’ve interacted with so far, everyone I’ve met has been really friendly and helped me out wherever they could. This community is awesome!

Huge thanks to Isa Naika Prey too, who has been an absolutely brilliant mentor and still continues to be so today! I had no idea I would be able to achieve so many of my goals in the timeframe I have and it wouldn’t have been possible without his help and guidance. Big props to you!

I was 80% of the way through writing this when I actually picked up a good deal on a Scimitar of the Mages, TWEN T5 with Mayhem Trauma 3 and have traded the Mayhem Electric 15, Perfected T4 in to really commit to the swordsmanship path. I’m currently pushing towards 80 Swords Hit and Damage to be able to grind hard with it!

To cover off the cost of 0-90 Electro:

I'm going to have to caveat this slightly as in the very early days between 10-20ish I look to have missed a couple of days tracking. It's not a huge amount relatively speaking, we're talking around 1200-1500 ped worth of cycle roughly so we could adjust for this if needed. Also excuse the poor formatting I'll find a better way to do it soon!

Good going OP!

It would be really interesting to see your cycle and returns through this period, giving some perspective on how hard you been grinding and if something like this would be possible for oneself with enough dedication.

very nice

Thanks Sulje and thank you for all the work you put into Entropia Central, I use your site everyday and it has really helped me out many, many times!

If I can do it you can! You've probably already got a load of skills too so well on your way! The hardest lesson for me so far was maintaining focus, it's one reason I'm doing this. I'm very easily tempted into chasing big loots in events etc. For instance I cycled 60k+ in migration knowing damn well I didn't have the skills to minimise my losses and I knew the outcome wouldn't be good for my ped card. But it was fun and I needed a break :D. It wasn't a total loss as got some decent MU out of it E.L.M wise, but it's definitely something I would have been better preparing for, ready to get involved next year!

I'll update some of the overall figures later on when I'm back, in the reserved section. Honestly cost a lot less than I thought it would. Off the top of my head I'm getting close to around 650 - 700k cycled and "loss" of around 38k. With mob MU it's closer to 25-26k roughly and if I factored in skill value it would be even less. Average has been slowly tipping back towards the 95% I keep reading about. I don't honestly consider these losses in the grand scheme of things though, It's more of an opportunity cost. I need HP's, skills and tools to open up MU opportunities and that they have and still continue to do!

I'm pretty sure I have the exact numbers it took to get me to 90 Electro Hit in my tracker. With it being 1st December I'll start tracking month on month in a more detailed way again if that's what people want to see.

First there was Yazuki who came, saw, conqured and left and now there is Tsuki doing something very similar.

Seems weird and scripted. If not, GL and keep going. Lets see if it will last more than Yazuki 🙂

Here's to hoping the devs give us a reason to keep skilling and grinding beyond merely lvl 100.

How the hell do you skill up this fast? :eyecrazy:

Amazing progress, btw did you join the game through an official link or used an affiliate link, i.e Isa's?

If its the latter I'm sure Isa is one happy dude. :D
Yeah, do I smell the Swedish jealousy?

Illuminati and envy did enter the channel 😂

Really appreciate all the comments and well wishes people have sent! Wasn't expecting so much of a response on the first day! Awesome community we have here :)

Yasuki 2.0?
GL.

Yazuki's posts were a really good read, he did some quick skilling too and I enjoyed reading through his progress! Perhaps our motivations were somewhat similar to start with. He seemed to be chasing a personal challenge much like I am, however I think our end goals our quite different. One of my biggest long term goals is to eventually be able to compete in the PVP arena. I've had a little taste of it already, really enjoyed it and met some great people whilst joining in what little I have already! However I'm a long way off competitive still, I need to be able to survive more than a single blow and be geared to where I can have a decent impact myself. I love pvp in other games and intend to enjoy it just as much here too :)

One of my biggest gripes with a lot of games is how quickly you can peak and run out of roads to travel. EU allows you to skill forever and it still have an impact on your avatar which I really love about the game. I have a hell of a lot more in me yet and I've invested a lot (for me) into the game so far, I have no intentions of stopping at any point. Especially seeing that reaching 1k+ hp's is a possibility, albeit far down the road!

This is Tsuki 1.0 :D! Completely unscripted and digging my way through the complexities of EU, enjoying every moment of it! I finally found a game that doesn't stop you growing!

Here's to hoping the devs give us a reason to keep skilling and grinding beyond merely lvl 100.

150 is in my goals for swords already and I've got a lot more weapon skills to work through even after that. Plenty of grinds for some gear that I would like too. 100 is just the first step and beginning for me personally!

How the hell do you skill up this fast? :eyecrazy:
Peds and macro's

It's just ped in, time spent and being lucky enough to work from home for a long stint for me. Cycle Fast, Kill Fast, Kill many and spend many hours doing it. I've averaged around 10 hours a day, especially when first pushing to use the Electric 15 chip. I've not spent much time in long standing instances or open world overall, apart from events. One of my favourite spots has to be reset very regularly and then you have to run back to it too, not going to lie this was actually quite tedious to keep repeating at points, but having a good show on while playing helped a lot. The weapon I've used for the more recent period, has to be repaired every 8.5 minutes too (Shagadi Disintegration sword T6) frustrating to use but fits what I need perfectly. Hp/lvl ratio is so critical too, there's a huge difference in skill gains between high and low hp/lvl ratio.

Amazing progress, btw did you join the game through an official link or used an affiliate link, i.e Isa's?

If its the latter I'm sure Isa is one happy dude. :D

Thanks Sub-Zero! Yes I joined using Isa's Affiliate link and I hope I am making him some money too! He deserves it!

Speaking of weird and scripted is watching people on pcf and AH buying and selling EXACTLY the same things I did back when I was evolving.
