hahaha I sleep fine thanks 5+ hours a day and I'm good to go!

I totally understand why people assume automated play with things like this, I've seen what looks like it quite a few times even out in the open, but then when it's all tied to 1 key I guess it could go either way! I wanted to maximise efficient skilling whilst also gaining MU, so I couldn't really sit in generic instance 1 auto shooting constantly to achieve this. I mean I could have done this yes, but my losses would have been significantly higher and I would have been dealing with planets markets that move much slower. I would have been faced with choosing between heavily throttling my cycling waiting for AH sales at very little MU or TT'ing everything causing even further loss. Neither were good options to me! It's not exactly strenuous pressing F and I'm no stranger to grinding in games either. I did also watch MANY TV series and films over this period lol!
 
Great progress. Keep it up.

Don't worry, any time someone makes good progress in the game or puts in a lot of hours, there's a group that insists you must be botting because they don't understand how multitasking works and how easy this game is to play in the background semi-afk.
 
In soc chat we took notice of you already this summer; an entirely new name coupled with those fairly savvy mob choices and we said "yep, he knows what he's doing, that's either a veteran with a new avatar or someone with an experienced friend". It's quite refreshing to see new players with determination and a plan.

I smell a lot of jealousy and suspicion in this thread already, but those people also would never pick up on the clues such as the ones I mentioned above, or have any idea of how your accomplishment can be done, so they start pointing fingers instead. Hopefully the subtle hostility only fuels your determination if anything. It was a nice read and I bet this thread will inspire many players, both old and new. Good luck with your upcoming goals and EU career!
 
@Tsuki Ryoku awesome progress, i will admit i am a little (very) jealous, in all of the right ways! :love:

questions:

- if you could go back and change one thing and one thing only that you did "wrong", what would you change and why?
- how much in total deposits to get there as fast?
- any plans on future withdrawals, or do you only see EU as a game and are not planning to earn from it?
- do you auction all loot, or do you recycle most low-MU items?

i am taking a small break from cycling and rethinking my avatar, regearing and trying to plan ahead this time... in the low 40s right now but really hoping to get to 70+ for 2026 and your thread is very inspiring :)
 
What a nice read, congrats for the progress!

(I already voted Tsuki for the best noob around the block, hearing from Isa and also seeing what kidn of mobs he was chasing it was clear a very fast progress of both avatar growth and for achieving sustainability. )

Scimitar is great and for a very fast growth, I would suggest try mayhem trauma 5 and see how it compares over a few hours of using it, with the trauma 3. Also, the scimitar is not to bad for PVP, if you choose well your battles :D

Sure, but suspicion of something exploitative and prohibited is what I meant and had a dig at; like the use of bot or whatever else has been subtlety implied in this thread. I don't see a veteran starting over with a new avatar as something exploitative or problematic, if that would have been the case.

Well, progression curve raises many fair questions. Thats a lot of hours after all. In this community we are used to those, often, not been human hours.
I do see a problem with alts.
1. What happened to your old ava? Maybe you dont want us to know who you actually are?
2. Is your main still active?

Obviously by new avatar I meant done the right way of closing the old account first. I can see where you are coming from, all good! And also thank you for strengthening my initial point of encouraging OP to not getting deterred by this type of finger pointing.

Support confirmed to me that this is prohibited.

You are only allowed one account. Not one active account, but one account, period.

Having support close an account and you opening another one later could potentially get that account banned and any future withdrawal denied.

I explicitly asked them as this is not my first account and I was wanted to restart yet again, and was told that if it was against the EULA.

Your account, once created, is supposed to be permanent. Restarting is not supposed to be part of the experience for any reason, at least according to MindArk. I can post a screenshot of the support reply when I get home if needed, but I would be very careful for anyone thinking of starting over...

i also had my past one deleted and managed to get a withdrawal just fine, but with a stern warning not to do it again...

its MindArk support after all, consistency isn't exactly their forte :p but i'd still be careful especially if there is considerable PEDs involved :)

You are allowed to request your avatar to be deleted, after which you are allowed to create a new account.

However, creating new accounts in your name without proper procedure or reason may result in account suspensions.

Spent a week sitting in space in order to gain BPC (kudos to Kronan crew).
Did 153 flights to Monria for daily (when there was no TP back).
Over 900k tt cycled.
And my highest is Metal Engi level 35
WTF is this progression MA?

Yeah especialy for long grinds this is must!

Men behaving badly tv serie kept me sane during Fugabarba grind. 🤣

2 monitor setup does wonders for enjoyment during rough grinds! 🙂

Thanks @UnaAlconbury! Well you were all right haha, I've definitely had an experienced friend throughout this journey so far! Honestly the impact of a good mentor that fits your playstyle and you get on with is incredible in this game!

Honestly my determination is even stronger after such an awesome response from the EU community! I really hope this does help and maybe even inspire others, as anything I can do anyone can do too :)

I would have focused on my initial goal and guidance and nothing else! I had multiple points where I allowed myself to get distracted. I decided to do some space mining (analysis codex reward), Cryo training, Arso training, getting involved with events just generally doing a bit of everything to try it all out. Whilst this was fun, I should have waited until I had hit my target really. Once I was able to use the Mayhem Electric 15, perfected the things available to me amplified significantly. So many doors opened for me at once, it felt amazing having so much more content suddenly available to me!

- how much in total deposits to get there as fast?

I posted up my 0-90 numbers in my first posts along with my gear in the thread which should give you a fair indication. Most of the deposits I have made have gone into gear leaving myself with enough bankroll to skill, trade and recover as needed. I'd honestly like to increase my bankroll a bit to give me a bit more flexibility, but we shall see. You could still achieve it without anywhere near as much investment, but it would just take longer is all.

- any plans on future withdrawals, or do you only see EU as a game and are not planning to earn from it?

I asked myself this the other day funnily enough. My first goal was sustainability, but it's now morphed into sustainability whilst still growing at a good pace. I'm definitely not there yet and there's so much more progress to be had skill and gear wise! I realistically need grow my ped card quite a bit to reach my goals, so if I did contemplate a withdrawal it would be a long way down the line! I have really grown to love this game and would always keep a stake in it regardless.

I try to keep an amount of each resource in stock in case of spikes in the market, the remainder would either be sold on auction or nano cubed if the MU on cubes is higher at the time. I've really started to understand what people meant by bankroll is king. Being able to hold items back and sell them for more MU when the time is right is very helpful in controlling your balance.

I will definitely look into trying out a Mayhem Trauma 5 on the scimitar hopefully I can source one by the time I hit 80 swordsman (Hit), I'll have to come try it out at the Landgrabs when I can use it to it's fullest!

I love that show I need to rewatch it, I'll add it to my list! I've been enjoying IT crowd again most recently!

I have a similar setup 2 monitors has definitely helped me with the tougher parts for sure!

Love the Hunting log by the way and grats on completing the gibnib codex, that must of took some dedication! looking forward to see more! :)

Quick Update:

With the Merry Mayhem announcement I think I'm going to have a pop at trying to complete the redulite Annihilation Category. It should make for a good log to add to the thread and I'm curious to see how much cycle it actually takes to complete vs the rewards for each level. Worst case I can stock up on much needed pills with the tokens!

So I have 7 Days to get my swords up to 80 to be able to max the Scimitar, currently sitting at 73 hit, so will need to average a level a day which might be a little tight, but we shall see!

Getting close to a couple more milestones too which are looking positive to hit along the way!

Will update more soon!

Redulite seems to be around 200k-300k, I'll be trying it too based on last years math (Expect a cycle of half that if all goes well but rewards should be better than gold).

Would love to see the numbers when you are done.
