TWEN item drop rate

EDIT:
On a side note, I'd love an official statement in regards to quantities. Is there a finite amount of each TWEN item that can drop during this event or is it just based on total player cycle? At least knowing that there is a finite amount of each might help stabilize the markups and cause a little fomo for people wanting to grab one of a limited supply of a specific item.

Yeah idk man coming out saying how it works will probably not be in their favour at all.

Id stop hunting when all has dropped

Id stop hunting right after a twen drop if it was based on "amount cycled"

I also think neither of those two are true.

I believe (just my own thinking, no fact) it is a small chance during specific time frames we dont know about or when, and a lucky sob simply loots it at the roll of a dice.

wow... guys you are loosing your minds here...

you need to play like everyday, with luck you'll get TWEN. Dont chase fancy TWEN items or you'll loose your mind... as Eve said, its not a rush its a marathon event is up for 40weeks... migration, mayhems, armors amps lot of thing need to be discovered so chill out... dont be jealous from 5 people already got their TWEN weapons... maybe your turn will come if you cycle enough

I think you're missing the point of a lot of the disappointment is not that there is a low chance to loot TWEN items. It's the fact that this event feels like nothing has really happened. I'm optimistic that later in the year we'll have some other things added to make it more exciting but from a purely gameplay/strategy point of view I have basically done nothing different the day before vs day after TWEN announcement. If there's more stuff planned then a teaser would be nice to keep us excited!

At least with things like mayhem and migration there are instances, missions to complete (ie. Redulite) and things that most can loot which are only available for a limited time (ELM weapons, Strongboxes).

I personally was hoping for something like a TWEN strongbox or perhaps a lot more (L) items in loot so that most people could feel like there was a global event going on rather than the trickle of items we have for the time being.

Alright I go back to shooting nonstop now.

wen twen item?

This - 1000% this. I'm not complaining because I haven't looted something. I'm voicing my disappointment in the lack of "wow" factor for a 20 year celebration. They are relying too heavily on the unreal tokens bridging the gap and being a key feature of the event but thus far they essentially worthless for the next 2 years (or longer) till unreal is released. Maybe there will be a trader for them beforehand but who knows - they did officially state that tokens had no use beyond their convertibility into a share upon the unreal release. Another question - are the earnings going to be retroactive from loot date or will they only start accruing earnings after Unreal launches? (pretty sure I know the answer)

Id stop hunting when all has dropped
Yeah... as it should be! Basically the definition of bait and switch to expect people to keep grinding even after they secretly remove the stuff from the loot pool or the unknown max quantity has dropped. You would prefer to be grinding thinking you still have a chance even when you don't? And when I was talking about player cycle I meant as the game as a whole not for an individual and not as in reference to some sort of loot wave. I meant for every say 200,000 peds cycled or rather for every $20,000 USD in profit MA makes off the players during this event (which is probably how the measure things, their profit made over amount cycled) they add 1 to the max amount of a TWEN item that can be looted.

IE max 10 TWEN opalos from the start but for every extra $5000 USD they make they add 1... So max of 11, then max of 12...etc. Whether or not they actually drop during the event is not their problem, they have no obligation to ensure all available quantities are dropped they just set the maximum that the system can possibly drop when the RNG gods decide.

Seems tht way because people already had an event designed in their minds instead of letting the owner do his stuff and judge it at the end, or judging with their wallet during the event... ya, nothing has happened in day 5 of 336. let's all rage quit or smth....
While there are many valid points in Jambon's larger post, that should be answered or addressed somehow, I woudln't tier those directy with the event. Shit happens tho, life's not 1always fair etc... treat it like a game (that is not yours & think they need to make $) and move on when time comes.

It's definitely true that a lot of the disappointment roots from theory crafting of how the actual event would have begun. Nonetheless, you're right its still only day 5 so this topic really should only be taken with a grain of salt until we're well into the year.

While we're at it and celebrating 20 years I'm going to find my lootious shrine from my closet and start praying

Would it be fair to say that TWEN items so far drop from mobs with large/larger HP?
Big Bulk, Feffox, Rextelum. I guess Stalker Bots would be the exception..

And thorifoid is pretty small as well, not sure which size it was but they're all pretty small except bosses

Thorifoid around 800 HP & lvl 16 dropped same item as Araneatrox Young 1600 HP & lvl 52

Yeah pretty sure the only thing higher level and/or HP does is make higher level drops available. I think let's say Level 100 Dasp can drop every item while level 5 can only drop the opalo or whatever the lowest lvl TWEN is. But that's just my thinking

You guys do know that the alternative to this is barely any items at all :)

Positives I see:
- we are getting new interesting items
- people are excited to see the next new toy drop
- discussions about these new great items
- people focusing on the event means there are opportunities elsewhere

agree with all that. there's no downside here that i see. important to have a positive outlook

I know some of you lucky people out there have seen nice items drop, and that’s good to see but from my perspective, nothing has changed, its same old same old. Boring as hell loot, ped card balance ever diminishing, enthusiasm slowly disappearing.
Negative? Damn right, as 20 year anniversary celebrations go, this has been, so far for me, and I suspect a whole lot more of us, utterly pathetic. If I hadn’t read about it I wouldn’t even have known there IS a special event going on! I should expect to see fireworks going off in major towns, posters on buildings, bands playing, celebrations going on and people having a good time in general. 20 years is a huge milestone for a game, I expect Blizzard will make a LOT more effort when WoW hits that one!
so far, all I have seen is a couple of hugely overpriced twen items on the auction, is THAT really what this event is about?
Tell us that, yeah some great items are going to drop, you/me won’t get one but SOMEONE ELSE will, no info on numbers or what these items are, so as usual, we have to go out blowing our hard earned in the forlorn hope that we MIGHT be the fortunate one just this once, casino mentality again, it’s just another hyped up sales pitch.
I’ll carry on playing how I play and see if, when this ”celebration” ends, if I am one of those lucky ones, I hope so, but expect not.
Flame away!

I feel exacly like you mate. Like i said before, screw the items i wont loot anyway but there is no event/anniversary spirit at all.

It's simple if you're disappointed with the twen event, don't hunt. What's the point of complaining here for? They won't change it. I rather like it even though I don't normally loot items, it gives option to hunt whatever you want and have chance to loot something.

the "boring loot" always give me a good chuckle

i mean its always boring until it isnt. like literally any other game.

They just come in pairs. In the evenings. Pretty boring.

spice it up MA drop some in the day 👍🏻

TBH they should have made limited versions of the new weapons as well to spice up loot and making ppl be able to see if they like the gun or not before commiting to buying it or grinding for it.

Thats the best idea i heard tbh

aving 1.5 per day, most folks I've spoken to around 70-75% returns. Seems legit.

But hey, at least we're diluting CLDS to make up for it right?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Im over TWEN already.

Wen THIREN?!

Looking back at the number of TEN, SGA, FEN items looted, you shouldn't expect a flood of each... so adjust those expectations a little to avoid a big disappointment.

On SGA you're wrong, I was actually hunting then. Using regular stuff like k400L and bl1000L I was able to loot an EP41sga, a couple of lower weps like ep bodyguard sga iirc and almost a full set of 7A sga plates, plus a sack of sga little armour pieces like pixie or shogun. Not to mention SGA actually had mining items and blueprints, that went mia in later events. By comparison it was flooding.

I can't comment on TEN, off for irl reasons.

FEN was a piece of shit of a concept which I hope will never be used again. It was good to engage more people via tokens, but would have been even better to have an actual economy which can generate MU instead of locking goodies in that token trader. By comparison I managed to loot a thsirt

This event now, there's indeed enough time to make things right both in numbers and types of items available (mining, bps etc). My concern now is that items are locked behind high dpp, beyond what is accesible with regular armatrix and pills. If in 1,4k ped tt i can barely have 2-3 drops of tier comps for a total of 2 ped tt and nothing else usable, that while being at 4.5crit chance but with regular armatrix, I very much doubt I stand a chance to loot even a twen pubic hair.

I thought I had really bad days but it seems I'm not alone, according to my Loot nanny, I'm averaging 68% returns, hunting from lvl 0 to lvl 90 mobs, opening strongboxes to see the UA disapear into the void, decent efficiency, decent looter level - a good friend who has top tier gear also has that kind of results. Some would say I'm dumb and doing things wrong, they're right, I should have prepared a bankroll of atleast 500K peds

I don't mind much the low drop rate of items as the event will be running for almost a year, even if I agree with Kerham, during the SGA we were having much more SGA items, even looting pixie TWEN would be fun and (L) items as said Gopher, but the average loot per mob is much lower than before the start of TWEN and it's getting hard to keep grinding hours and hours with such low returns, of course some have & will have a lot of """luck""" and manage to be very positive TT wise + the loot of TWEN items, but damn, that's a very expensive start for a birthday event.

totally agree on that one, even for christmass we have decoration... common 20year at least put some nice decoration, community event, something fun to do...

yes there is TWEN ok they are good and rare, and we will have probably more to come, but the anniversary was a fixed date you can make something fun too... i don t know we had Rx in the past, we could chat with MA members...

without speaking about loot on special mobs but why all staff couldn t log in and make an huge spawn of mob and play with us have fun and celebrate it, gathering 200+ people spawning hussk, 2 kong or shit like that during 3-4h like a giant ingame party, pop firework, some nice music... it would be fun and a real celebration and YES you can still do BOTH celebrate and a long terms event... right now people feel frustrated because TWEN changed nothing...

i don t know special mission with cosmetic reward, useless nice gun like trout TWEN to do a trout brawling competition with a trout crown as reward ! giant pvp event with everyone at 100hp and same gun to use fake weapons which won t provide any skill, there is plenty of idea to make a fun event... MA had 20 year to plan it and we have a "wait something will come message"... an anniversary is a specific days of the year not a 10 month period...

I could be wrong but I am quite sure that most of us would be a lot more excited about this “celebration” if we were seeing more interesting things in our loot than the usual oils and oils and yet more oils! For me, it doesn't even need to be valuable, just interesting!
I remember when we used to get so much pixie armour from snables that the sheer weight of it in our inventories made us go to tt it just so our character could continue to run! it was virtually worthless to sell on of course but was so much better than now, even in this event with it’s apparent million to one chance of getting what? We don’t even know WHAT is supposed to be dropping, or when!
is there a “chance” of say, a twen mod merc dropping throughout the entire event? Or If said twen mod merc was to drop does a MA techie throw a switch after he/she finishes his/her cup of tea at the end of his/her shift to make someone’s’ day?
A big part of me believes that that IS what happens but I get that the surprise factor when something that we didn’t know was going to drop, drops creating a bigger impact, but I would like to know that I am not wasting my time effort and importantly, MONEY, chasing a dream!
BTW, I also get that THAT is a lot of the appeal of this game, and is probably why I/most of us, keep coming back for more, PE/EU has something that other games just don’t have! it’s why we love it, warts and all.

Totally agree with this, well worded and good ideas of what a celebration should be about, I hope someone from MA sees it and importantly, ACTS on it because what you describe here IS what a celebration should be..

I just had a thought, yeah it was quite painful, and sorry to hog this space but I wanted to get it out there as I believe MA deserve a little credit.
What was this thought? Well it occurred to me that IF MA had stated that x number of twen mod mercs would be dropping during the event what would happen?
I suspect all those Uber rich players with their maxed out skills and super weapons ( this is not meant as a pop at those, but I expect it will be taken as such) would spend their whole playing time farming whatever mob drops said twen mod merc until they had all been looted thus denying the ordinary players that can only deposit a little, or devote a little time, because they have to work, the opportunity to actually get something NICE!
then we would have the dubious pleasure of seeing these weapons on auction at insane prices that I/we could never afford in a million years!
So, I am thinking that is why MA have not said what is going to drop, or how many, or when, so we ALL have a chance of something nice!
I hope I am right for once, and also that they put some nice things on lower level mobs and not just high level so that, we normal mortals can realistically hope to get something.
