UL Blix Hunting Log

Apart from Blix skilling, as I understand you're camping Longus in the hope of looting an Imp MkII (SGA?).

Did you consider that you may have a greater chance to have it dropping if you hunt the right mob with the same weapon type?

Maybe hunting with a normal MKII may help the right loot to come... ;)

Sure, it's just "may, maybe" etc, but some believe in this theory. :cool:

only reason i think longu might drop it is cuz will they use too long long time ago and Longoria is pretty close to Longu at least closer then any other famous celeb female i can think of.

i try not to use non sib UL weapons cuz, well, that'll just add another 10 to 20% losses in low end damage and misses cuz my skills are just way noob to use em for a good while. and mainly i am doing blix cuz the melee combat gives some nice HP boost at least till i hit around 4k or so at which point i'll probably go skill up on mining to get some decent hp boost, seeing as hitting commando will take a much longer time frame and unless i got some UL sib weapons to do it with just wouldnt be feasible.

Well the Imp MkII previously dropped from a Longu I think. But these days I would say a Longu is too gay to drop a nice item like that.
 
If cameron diaz had a brother - He might have been named Caperon ;)

In the description it states the clue along the lines of "my sister is a famous tv celeb".
Unless Longu suddenly became female, or vice versa with the Falx... :scratch2:

hard to say, i mean an imp fap which is probably worth more dropped from a furor worker which is much easier to kill then a longu dominant (from damage dealt vs armor used), and sup footies dropped from a coranate young was it? so anything is possible, although the fact that it doesnt drop from a longu is very possible as well
 
Okay after reading everyone's comments and seeing me get bend over by Longus w/o any lube i will start switching between mobs on what i think will be profitable based on activity. cuz at the current rate u guys are right very big chance longu wont drop imp mk2 and even if it does bigger chance i wont be the one to loot it, and the common loots just aint enough mu to make up the losses, the skills gain might but i could hunt a more profitable mob and still gain the same skills. the last 6500ped of decay on longu hasnt yield a single esi or t10s the only items so far that they drop with good MU, the skin has good mu but it isnt dropped often enough (i've looted 180ped tt of longu skin after 12 apis/dante, 5 khross 400s, and 15k tt of decay on blix) to make it worth while. However, this doesnt mean i'll stop camping Longu as i am in the lead for the LA competition and should i win the taxes should cover a large part of my losses, i'll just be more selective at what time to hunt em vs other mobs.

the hunts will continued to be calculated and carried over as this is a log to see if ul blix can profit in the long term and i'll keep noting items of notable mu that will be factored into the actual profit/loss.

Very interesting thread. I'm also using a Blix, too skill melee (mainly for HP purposes). But my current trends have also been losses, even though I'm maxed on it.

Definitely keeping an eye on this though :D

not normal to tt profit off of trox, also didnt have to fap even once which means no first aide skills and no fap costs but i am sure one can argue use less armor blah blah blah still fap etc etc

falx are a bit big for the blix..

too high of secondary costs for the dps, IMO.

A secondary solution would be to wait until teaming comes back, and then teaming them instead :D

As to the secondary costs, it all depends on how you play it out ;)

The cost/hour of fapper/armour on falx comes out to probably ~40-50 PED an hour, which is a lot when compared to the fact that he'd probably be cycling only 300 PED/hour on them

Unless perhaps he can get an imp fapper for decays :D
Falx with a blix... Sounds like something I'd do :laugh:
 
i am to noob for falx, not sure what their regen is, but today even on fresq old it was an epic battle of the blix vs their regen. maybe when next emon event comes around and isisbl1300 drop down to 125% i'll go do some bigger mobs for now it'll just be trying to break even and get some free skills. also i would like to upgrade to a firefly once i hit around lvl 36 or 37 hit which should be in two weeks, so if any of u reading know of anyone willing to let go a firefly at it's dps to price range please let me know. thanks :D

Falx have no regen :p
 
Regen on falx is close to zero. Regen should be the least of your worries when encountering falx ;) But it is doable. Just takes a little time to wear down the HP. I had ghoul +5B and adj fap when I did tested the blade on them. Slash-sslash-slash-slash-slash- fap-fap-fap-slash-slash....etc:rolleyes: There are other ways to take them out more efficiently...

My suggestion is to target warriors, troopers and eviscerator with the occational drone.

yeah i am actually trying to piece together some vigi sga (looted the gloves off of the 3rd or 4th drone i killed) parts w/ low mu martials and head out to try warriors, if you know of any good spawn please do tell. on eviscerator with all the cheap thundercrap armor i can probably do up to a gene 3 and not worry bout regen but i noticed when i camped em after gene 3 the regen was very noticeable.

L boar, bear, jag etc is also a great armour for warriors. And with tbird + 5b, I was easily taking evisc up to gen 6 with the blix. Ignore regen, as long as you can kill them, you can get loot :D

warriors are southwest of twin, mixed with drones
 
have you (or anyone else) calculated the time per hunt and compared it with MA's statement of $1 per hour of play vs your losses?

A 5 hour hunt should cost you 50 ped ($5 at $1 per hour)

That's an average, it doesn't apply to all players. Sweaters and fruit/dung/stone walkers don't lose 10 ped/hour.
