Telling the community that personal insults in team names makes the game not funny anymore to play. That was what I had in mind with this thread. I made a mistake by including that the team name was reported to MA. I admit, I made a mistake. It shouldn't have been included. Oh well, too late to change that now.

The good people who support me are the essence of playing this game. It's thanks to you that I and many others still plays it.

You really are mind-bendingly retarded. To complain about being insulted and then insult everyone who disagrees with abusive -reps and stupid comments is... wow.

To be fair, insults make the game no fun to play is a fair point. Though this game is kinda aimed for adults rather than easily-upset 10 year olds....

He neg repped me too about another post, so just take it with a grain of salt. It's good for the whole community to speak out, and I think that whoever Minkin is, probably is a very troubled individual. Let's now leave him alone.

Be a bigger person and ignore them.

I have seen an occasional team name with such info on it, pointing to other players or even to socs.

When it calls out a soc, I just assume it is a declaration of war and hope to see some fun.

as the boss of the soc ┌П┐( ._. )┌П┐ I recieved the email from Suport where they informed me that some people have been offended by our wounderfoul soc name.

I am talking to them about the future of the soc name at the moment.

Funny thing is that the name has been approved earlier (It was a soc name change that was approved by MA/FPC), and now it is aparently not approved anymore :)

I do think that any kind of name calling specified to one person is much worse than a smiley with 2 fingers pointing in any direction, but maby that is just me.

I dont think Minken is a homosexual, based on that he have declined all sexual invites from the male members of our society. Or do you just think that we a re to ugly Minken? :ahh:

Sad to see Minken get this mad over such a little thing :) it has it consequences... Don't throw rocks inside a skyscrape? Not sure if that's correct, but this should be a classic case of someone doing just that, throwing rocks :)

I have to agree with the-unknown.. if I had a nickel for every insult I have gotten while playing mmo's I would rival Bill Gates. Just a bit ago I got called Jewish because I killed a chirpy on Medusa lol. The reasoning behind the insult was the guy was trying to support his family by sweating those chirpies hoping to make it big LOL! Did it make me mad.. not exactly, yes it irritated me.. when did Jewish become an insult?.. But instead of filing a support case I postponed my mining trip and intentionally stayed there and killed chirpies lol. Mind you I was far enough away from them as to not kill the ones they were sweating, but the insults kept flying.. I was amused.

Personally, I don't mind the team nor the soc name, but did make me chuckle :laugh:

And for those that think that soc name is more offensive then the team name then you wont mind me calling you a pillow biting fag that likes having things stuffed into your rectum. Those calling the others names the whole time will get whats coming to them. Karma can be a bitch and so can MA support if they have enough evidence against you.
 
good thing this isn't wow, the main reason i am not playing it anymore being the other players: "n00b", "ltp", "i had fun with ur mom last night", "retard", "huntard", "nooooobs!", "i DO know, i have xx in xx realm", "uninstall". :D .. not to mention the quick soc names for any purpose.

for the record the socname doesn't bother me but i can see how it would offend someone. as a community i think that should be in consideration when making a soc name.

as for the reason this thread was made if its between you and support minken why not let them handle it? came here to stir the pot i guess. i do find the team name attack childish and inappropriate, but seriously why do we need this thread on pcf along with your silly fingers up crap???

I enjoy reading the more inventive team names. Using them as satire would be considered to be protected as free speech in the US. Using them as hate weapons would not be.
The question may be, why do you consider homosexual to be an insult? If my name was used in the team name, I would mainly wonder why, and then plot my revenge. But it would be like calling me a "atroxsexual" or "Ubersexual", in that none of them would relate to me or my known behavior. Now that I think about it, please do make teams called "Phil Surtees Ubersexual".:)
I know that I am ignorant of the backstory here, but I think that you may have made a kingfisher out of a chirpy with this thread.
