A blueprint for a crafter is equivalent to a weapon for a hunter or a finder for a miner. Ingredients are our “ammo” or “probes,” and the crafted item is our “loot.”
Now imagine that one day MA removes the ammunition for your weapon - meaning you can no longer use it. Or removes probes for your finder, leaving it unusable. Then, the next day, they say:


This is effectively what happened to crafters. First, the “ammo” (ingredients) became unavailable. Then the “tools” (blueprints) themselves were removed.

Why was there no transition plan? Hunters and miners have attachments for their gear, and they are offered improvements such as adjustments and tiering. Land, shop, and apartment owners can modify their property to increase usability and value. But no comparable options were offered to crafters.

Crafters are central to attaching market value to the loot of hunters and miners. We create the equipment that provides them with advantages. We are essential to the role-playing and economic structure of the game - because of crafters, there are suppliers and customers. Yet in this case, crafters were left without options.

Why were crafters not offered the possibility to purchase the required ingredients at TT value in order to craft out their Limited prints before removal?

Why was there no opportunity to upgrade affected blueprints into new regulated versions - Adjusted, Improved, or Modified - through additional investment?

Such options would have preserved value, allowed balancing of rarity, and maintained trust. Instead, variance was reduced and long-term progression was weakened.

The larger issue is trust.
How can players justify investing significant time and money into long-term goals within a Real Cash Economy if there is a risk that those investments may later be removed?
Should players withdraw large wins instead of reinvesting them?

Is long-term commitment being discouraged?

There has also been discussion about introducing repair tokens or similar systems for maintaining gear. Can players feel secure investing in equipment if there is uncertainty about future mechanics? What guarantees exist that similar removals will not happen again?

A serious and transparent explanation is needed. Removing the “ammo,” and then removing the “tools” that depended on it, undermines confidence in long-term investment.

Without clear communication and predictable policy, trust in the economy cannot be sustained.

Is there any chance you could let automatic craft session logging like it is done for chat and private chat (chat.log, private_chat.log). Just allow to direct crafting messages into separate crafting.log file (adding failed attempts also and showing in the message what print was used).

Same could be done for hunters -> hunting.log, showing in messages what mob is hunted/killed.

Edit: I had more BPs removed than 99% of the player base. Please just trust me on this one if your greatest accomplishment was to click standard damper

Perhaps you missed the words “one of.” I never claimed to be the only skilled crafter - only that I was among those closest to the required level at that time.

The story was never about eliminating competition or becoming “more skilled at the expense of others.” Entropia has always been about progression - age to live, age to learn. Experience in this universe often comes at a high cost, whether in time, PED, or knowledge gained through trial and error. Unfortunately, it is disappointing when that experience leads to reduced optimism and trust.

People sell skills for many different reasons - not only because they are “losing” something. Some change professions, some withdraw funds, and some rebalance their gameplay. The skill market exists because it is part of the system’s design.

My motivation was not to reduce others. It was based on optimism and trust - seeing long-term potential and attempting to open new crafting possibilities and services for the community.

I believe all types of investors should be respected - those who invest time, money, knowledge, and even their positive energy into the universe.

For me, Entropia + Universe has always represented high variance and long-term possibility - not restriction. That belief is what guided my decisions.

How you will know what blueprint you crafted? UnL or L version (I mean not this ETC case). And how you will know what portion belongs to what print especially if ended or started with fail or with just shrapnel or shrapnel plus residue? Without time stamp how you will know where is data for one click and where is for next? Shrapnel could be, but I don't think presence of it is strong counter for clicks for all prints.
My version do not force MindArk coders to implement many changes - just easy work with low chance of bugged implementation.

What if MA is working on a new line of craftable products and will compensate players, for old BPs that has been removed, with the new ones?

I'm hoping for a better game - that works properly and has fewer bugs and maybe even smarter mechanics.
 
MA are letting us down again. It's not even the software, it's so much about how the customers are treated.
We've seen what the talk is like again and again. At least they DO talk, partially, but the implementation and possibly also the underlying intentions of what they actually do are at best dubious.
Are there currently any AIs out there yet that are able to walk the walk when it comes to delivery, some kind of agent that understands responsibility to customers, also in actions taken? It's a genuine question of when I might trust an AI more than an institution.

Please give the people affected GOOD compensation, and quickly! You've even said this road has only just started, with more bps to disappear batch by batch...

We don't want compensation. Compensation is impossible and unacceptable. The only way out of this situation is to return and unlock all blueprints. Otherwise, this incident will be the beginning of a complete shutdown of the game.

Anything above TT is great, these BPs had no value

Yes we do. The only use for useless blueprints is scamming so I much rather take compensation

Oh I would love over 10k Legacy boxes instead of 110 ped. I am sure some of the guys who didn't take a break would love getting over a million of these.

I'm pretty new and nooby in crafting prof. One BP-book can only handle one of each BP, right? Or can you stack them and I just don't find the button? :unsure:

Well I counted each limited click as a single blueprint. Back when I left we weren't even able to stack these and iirc max value on them was 1 ped.

I have been selling my bps for a year now and am down to about 1,500 now I think. Of these well over 100 ped will be removed once they get their thumb out of their asses and get done with it (I was hoping for three times that).

Books suck. Pitbulls! Pitbulls everywhere! They are cheap and depending on model you get quite many in those. I was going to color my pitbulls like the BP books but gave up on that project 😅
 
Ok some people from MindArk doesn't take us seriously and have no courage to admit they did fail to deliver! Very weak!

We want a full list of taken BPs, for each avatar personalised because i don't care what you did remove completely i care about what you took from me, we want compensation NOW! Why no official talking about this matter anymore? Speak up! You don't deal with kids here you took our real cash valued items and didn't give us the value back so in fact it's stealing. Answers that's what we need right now.

This should have been done in more detail before MA pulled the pin on this grenade and tossed it in our laps. I have gas caps (that still drop) that are now dead items BECAUSE the bp to use them was erroneously removed. We are a month and a half after this, change was made and no update on when the BPs will be returned and when we will be compensated. I know this is not yours to decide and normally managers get distracted with other 'shiny objects' but I hope you can convey to them that "pre-planning" time has no player impact, but once something that doesn't work as expected is inflicted on players we see it and the "time" starts to wear on our patience. You have always been good to talk to here and in game, but MA has a lot of people left in limbo..... and it's not the people with less than 90 days impacted, it is disproportionately impacting the players who have been here a long time and stood by MA who, so far, are impacted the most.

They executed too early and promised something they couldn't keep. The sentiment is good but how it is done bot so much.

I was excited for one single reason, I'm not gonna pretend like someone's son playing someone's account or like some people crying about perceived value. All the blueprints that was gonna be removed was and is TT food, I was just looking forward to finally getting rid of them. 110% TT would have made me excited but with this delay I kinda don't know what to feel.

I'm glad you are bumping because I felt the past week like I'm the only one who remembers this. For me it is hundreds of PED and I haven't crafted since 2016. For people who have been active since it must be thousands.
 
We will be fully removing any blueprints gathering dust that are not possible to craft, and fairly compensating owners in the process this update.
When?!?!?!?!
