News: Upcoming Update: Crafting UI, Blueprint Clean-up and more!

Just return the bps and put something on their first info page that says "requires materials that no longer drop" or make their inventory icon gray to indicate this/ do both. Why waste money compensating people when a lot of players won't be happy with the compensation anyways? It seems like a lose lose scenario to me. Don't get me wrong, I'll take some ped for stuff that I was struggling to find mats for or was never going to craft anyways, but I would rather see something beneficial for MA and players. If you really want to throw some money away, put the money you were going to pay out into the bonus pool or increase returns for the new players for a while after returning the bps and implementing some indication that they use retired materials.

If I'm understanding this correctly, Mindark now has a procedure to remove any blueprint in game and make it look like an official update:

  1. Ensure no mob drops item
  2. Wait a sufficient enough duration so that blueprint appears obsolete
  3. Call it an update and remove blueprint from game

 
How about:

"Dear Entropians, we have to admit we failed in this task and left a bitter taste on you players, we will ensure that you get compensated well and the problem is solved in near time, we apologise for this failure and give you our word we doing everything we can to get it right"

Than someone could at least understand what's going on, not communicating is worst thing someone can do imo
 
well i have held my tongue long enough so here we go. I know Rocktropia isnt on the MA agenda thats obvious after all the vu updates for new moon Aris etc etc i get it Calypso and surrounding moons and planets seem to benefit the most...BUT to remove what MA considers not a necessary bp anymore did not factor in compensation to hard core crafters on RT like myself..Example Monster Trucks were elite to RT and still r and for me to loose in excess of 300 bp clicks of the 4 types of trucks considering i have the mats is an insult to the 20yrs i have played..also having an instance that supplied tires and rims right up until 10 days ago has left me in a quandry about doing RT bp crafting
anyway just a little spat to say where was the vote rather than just announcing its a done deal..NOT HAPPY FFS
 
They are playing with people's investments all the time lately, slowly losing all the trust players have in MA. The only reason MA is still in business is because people are locked in with investments and can't get out quickly.

The idea of gradually transferring consciousness into a virtual world and thus achieving immortality is, in many ways, romantic, but truly exciting. It was the ideology of Entropia Universe for a long time. This exciting idea, reaching far into the future, stimulated investment and the enthusiasm of players. The confiscation of the blueprints is the beginning of the end. It's sobering for everyone who hadn't realized it in the past couple of years.

Now this game is driven not by the romance of a grandiose future, but by panic and the fear of losing everything, with all the ensuing economic consequences.

Oh dear. I'm discovering this today. I agree with the general feeling of despairness from "the brothership of the blueprint" guys.:oops::confused: And in general anyway, it's item confiscation. True that there are resources remaining in game to craft so-called "deprecated" blueprints. I crafted myself a Scorpius L riffle 2 years ago. Not the most optimal weapon, granted, but so what? It's my account, I do what I want. Another point is that, like many other players, I collect blueprints. Why is MA destroying my collection? Obviously now the trust is broken, should we ask for a blockchain to secure our in-game assets? Obviously, MA's central register is not what we want... And where is that compensation btw lol? MA decides it all? But what about QR on the BPs? A Scorpius UL bp at max QR is compensated what? 20 000 peds? 5 peds? (I don't own that one, but I used to have some deprecated component bps at max QR, that costed anything between 100 and 500 peds at full QR, some uncommon). Anyway. I of course prefer that MA stops all this, and restores all our bps.

How is something old interfering with the game's functionality?

First of all they are useless. Second or all they ruin my storage. Third of all people are dishonest pieces of shit and will scam people with historic MU.

Theyre not just removing "old" or bp's that have mats that dont drop anymore... Theyre also, removing bp's IE monster truck bp's that the mats still today drop... There was nothing wrong with them... this is VERY sketch... sure 100% i get removing bp's from the game that literally have no use and the mats will never come back i get it but, removing bp's that have function... they can be made... This is very disappointing and shameful... I hope we get a response on this... This isnt a small matter...
I bought Horny Devil BP and have slowly grinded the items so, i can craft these Monster Trucks... And now poof gone... no more bp... Like i said I've looted the items it takes to craft this specific bp... but, nope gone... all moster trucks poof... someone somewhere whoever have power to delete clearly doesnt know where loot drops from or doesnt care... and thats concerning imho... If youre a crafter this should be very concerning...
At first I bought into this BS of if the mats dont drop the bp will get deleted and im still ok with that but, when ur removing bp's thats the mats do drop that is very negligent... I will not depo again until I specifically get a direct explanation... Depending who you talk to mine and other instance key holders 10k-50k ped Bp's now has been nullified...Who knows what bp's are next...Who knows what other bp's were deleted without explanation or transparency...

Sorry James, but Monster truck parts are still available and dropping and they removed access to those bp's so no confidence they wont do the same with other things.

The lists aren't finalized. Some blueprints are supposed to come back and some supposedly is going away.

I just don't know what is taking them so long

problem is without transparency or communication on the subject makes it very concerning. I mean If they responded and mentioned hey yea monster truck bp's for example were an oops ull get them back next VU or w/e it would be like oh ok cool w/e im in no rush... but, nothing is very disappointing... and imho shameful.

I wouldn't say concerning but frustrating and dishonest. I ask a few times a week but haven't got any update in forever.

Well if they dont return these ones with mats still dropping that's not right imo but I'd send in a support case just in case to make sure they are aware and doesn't slip thru the cracks to have it on the finalized list and not returned.

As I've said many times, people will only begin to understand that something is wrong when it affects them.
But when I wrote that dozens of projects on different planets, hundreds of blueprints and processes, were brutally interrupted in an instant, tens of thousands of ped loot purchased over many years at high prices became useless. Most simply gloated. Almost no one wants to reason from the standpoint of general fairness and reasonableness, not to mention universal morality.

Even the single type of blueprint they noticed several months later caused outrage. Justified outrage. But about a thousand of these blueprints disappeared, and only a small fraction of them can truly be considered obsolete (but only for those who no longer have the resources for crafting).

Why didn't you speak out then, when it was timely and the news was freshly published? Perhaps we had the opportunity to turn the situation toward common sense. But they saw only support for blueprint confiscations.

Before that, most only gloated and rejoiced at the fact that something was being taken away from someone. (Read the thread, see how many positive reactions/expectations for compensation there are - I'm not exaggerating at all).

I dont spend to much time on Forums or discord and most the time try to stay out of chat since all ppl do is complain to complain... I dont try to read all the threads of more complaining to just complain... then keeping up with that... im sry but, im trying to play a game to enjoy... so, yes when its affects up we take note... And most complaining in game at that time was Speed Bike... and another bp i forget which that both dont have mats that drop or have any use in game if MA isnt gonig to do anything with them... If ppl were at that time mentioning things that had actual use IE these monster truck bp's I wouldve been right there with u... unfortunately we all have real lives and time zones so, if u said it at anytime in game mustve been when i wasnt playing or I wouldve been with u... IE Soul was talking about it and then I was right there IE here I am... so, me personally i dont have enough time to scour the forum looking for more... Im happy when i have enough time and ped to play... Im not looking to join in on all the toxicity that most complaining is... i mean most of it isnt even constructive in anyway... So, yes I ignore most of it... That is the communities fault not mine... If it was constructive maybe I'd participate more...

So, if something doesnt tag me specifically i most the time stay out of it....

not true... it was for anyone that was trying to use a bp that could be crafted... I personally was working on hunting to get the mats to craft Monster Trucks... then figured out those bp's were now removed... since u dont get a notification for this event i didnt know until someone talked about it and i searched my Horney Devil Monster Truck clicks... This is for any crafter that held bps that were removed...because its clear the original reason was a lie... Bp's that were removed were ONLY suppose to be old bps that had no use in game anymore via the mats no longer dropped for them... In no way should a BP that had use that the mats still dropped shouldve been removed... BP's to a crafter is like gear and weapons to a hunter... imagine ur armor piece u just spent 10k on just poof XD thats pretty fcking insane especially without any communication other than some bs lie...
