Suggestion: Updating the space map to show lootable zones

Now that we have space mining it would be a very nice QoL improvement if you guys added "red" lootable zones visible on the map like it exists on the planets. This would allow players to travel more safely during their mining.
Alternatively, display the area safe zones where its not pvp or max regular pvp.

Also of course, fix the "entering lootable zone" fake message that we still have.

the lootable areas are 3d it wont be possible to show them on a 2d map - they would have to make the map 3d
 
Woted other. They should remove those zones or make it as it is planet side with tox shot to enter. Place them also outside the paths between planets so people are not forced into an activity they don’t have any interest in to explore the universe. They fail to realize how huge the negative impact of forced lootable has on the game.
 
Yes! MA, we want to see the safe way! Make it happen. Even if the map of space is 3D, lootable doesn't seem to be affected, areas where it is in effect goes from top to bottom anyway.
 
I never went in lootable pvp by ascending or descending. I still think there are vertical borders... but I could be wrong
Yes, it doesn't work like that. When you're in lootable, it's top to bottom, height doesn't matter.

that was old space, the new one got rescaled and stations have safe zones as well as exteneded nonlootable zones but if a station fundamentally sits in a lootable area then the exclusion zone is more like a bubble

If they can show the space stations and "mob nests" as (blue zones) I don't see a reason not for them to be able to show the lootable zones.
Heck if its easier for them to just display the "safe zones" (non lootable) by covering it with other color it would be enough, giving players an idea of where it starts is better than going completely blind.

So what changed exactly? Safe zone around stations got a big bigger? They're probably not scaled, yes, but that can change, it's the only thing that's not scaled for height, everywhere else it is. And the trash subhuman pirates use that to rob our fellow entropians!! Can't we ask the developers to make things a little bit better to protect the players from that lifeless scum and make the game safer and more enjoyable? As an upstanding member of this community I'm sure you would agree that being robbed in space is a terrible experience that has led many prominent players and even heavy depositors to quit. Dear devs, make it a little bit better, why not, the areas around apace stations could be scaled as well and shown as read areas on the space map so people know where it's safe and where it is not safe.

Entire space is pvp lootable as default. They use 3D objects to create safe zones and non pvp lootable areas.
These objects should be possible to be seen similar to estates where you can see all edges.
Another option could be to render a texture that is almost transparent on these objects, and ofc
as an option, not something everyone have to have enabled. So in space there are some options.

Putting it on a 2D map isn't so precise as it should be. Hopefully they will create a 3D map in UE though.
 
Just get rid of lootable space. No one likes it except the assholes that get off stealing shit from other people. Most of the time it's a case of the person forgetting or not realizing they had lootable stuff. I suppose the only other people that wouldn't want to see it removed would be those that spent a lot upgrading their ships... But then they should put in new missions that involve transporting goods through a portion of dangerous space or something.

Lots that could be done to revamp things. Could have small lootable pvp areas where participants willingly put up a stake to enter combat.

Indeed, now with space mining and space teleportation tokens. The need for restricting access in space by having the travel routes in lootable is not very optimal.
They could simply put in the middle of the map ONE lootable zone, and have the best ores/content there. Giving incentive to enter that place at their own peril. Just like it is for lootable pvp planet side.
Giving us others who want to travel safely the means to do so (slower than warp still).

But for sure they gotta show the lootable zones in space someway.
 
Not going to happen. I mean MA have rules whereby scammers can't be named and for all intents and purposes allowed to continue scamming!

Similar case for pirates. Piracy is legal, and even encouraged ...

I agree should definitely have the red zones in the map 100%... seems crazy to even talk about this now tho. It's like finding a dead guy in a ditch and saying "it'd be nice to cut his finger nails they are kind of long". This game is on life support if they don't fix the unlimited commonly dropped rare space loot and add those mats to the blueprints, make a new armatrix high EFF gun line, lower mtokens in RM, tackle botting and/or balance loot there, among the other laundry list of game/MU killing balancing problems. We got everyone trying to leave but can't sell their gear because of it. I'm afraid to even suggest QOL things to improve the game anymore even tho this red pvp area would be beneficial for sure in space, but only if we have players to go in the first place.
 
As JBK mentioned, the issue is 2d vs 3d.
One solution would be to change shader inside lootable to be different than in rest of space, and maybe other one on edges to indicate being close.
