Hey guys,

I was trying to figure out what the next UL weapon would be for me. There's tons of them and it's really confusing tbh. I am maxed on my ep-41 adj, and I am still planning on using it for a while. But I would like to know what the next UL weapon that I should look for. It can either be a handgun or rifle, it makes no difference to me, since both professions are about the same level for me. I have an a105 Imp, but if you know of a better amp that would work with the suggested gun, I'd also like to know that. ^^

I understand what you are asking, but this is like one of those math problems online where the answer depends on variables not disclosed in the posed question.


What is your budget? What is your bankroll? What is your end goal? How much do you intend on cycling? Just to start things off.
 
I am currently cycling through 2k peds a day in ammo for hunts. Budget is probably around 5k ped for the gun specifically. If I need to buy an amp, that would come separate and can adjust the budget for that. I think the cycling would stay the same for the most part, since I feel like 2k a day is a decent amount to cycle for my level, and also because it takes my EP-41 several hours to cycle through the 2k peds, which is about the same amount of time that I have available to play..
Kind of looking for the next step up to hunt bigger things while still being efficient, so maybe even a tier 4 for MM gun?. My goal is to have a gun in mind, so I can start saving up, and if I see a decent price for said gun, buy it and then sell mine.
 
Simply going up the ladder in terms of UL laser pistols for one would be the igni l1100e but one will set you back almost double your 5k budget but is a solid stepup and will happily take your existing imp a105,
 
Just seen you didnt mention adj ep41. Your using regular ep41 or adj? If regular id go for adjusted ep41

I can look it up, see how it does and how hard it'll be for me to get it. Since I'm also looking into an adjuated resto chip. What about laser rifles?
 
I had the same situation last year with the EP 41. I swapped over to BLP and got an Enigma L4 and a ML35 adjusted. Very happy with these purchases, and although originally out of my budget I had a 6 month plan to sell off old items and upgrade. All went according to plan and I ended up with the 2 weapons I wanted

The only problem is that my BLP professions are under leveled compared to my laser. So I would have to grind the levels for a long time just to be exactly where I currently am with laser, and then some more to go up to the next level
 
I could probably even do like a 10k budget if needed be. After talking with some people, seems like 5k isn't enough. So 10k would be like the sweet spot..
 
Within your budget:
Both allow you to keep and use the improved A105. I've had both, and even though the 1100E is superior the Scorpion offers the best bang for your buck.

You could also go for a Zorra HK, but I dont recommend grinding with that rifle at all.

My BLP levels were also lower when I swapped, but after 6 months they are up with my laser levels now. Laser weapons with a similar DPS to what I have are considerably more expensive, so I am very happy with my change. Also I have been advised by higher level players that at my level swapping between laser and blp is not really an issue
 
Consider looking into other paths as well, BLP, MF, melee. There are pros and cons but one of the most important con of laser is the price compared to similar DPS options I'd say, including amp prices.
Skill goes up fast if you find a nice hunting ground so that should be the least of your problems, plus, it's nice to raise up all professions while you're flexible with weapons. At higher levels you'll find weapons that you will stick with for longer periods of time and you will find little desire to switch to lower weapons to skill other paths...
 
Gotta agree with Evey about considering other professions. Laser is one costly bitch.
If you have already skilled up Laser, getting your BLP up will be a breeze, as there is only one different skill between the two disciplines. Once you switch you will be glad you did. Unless you use Armatrix limited amps, which I wouldn't recommend at your burn rate, you will soon notice a bottleneck on DPS output, unless you have deep pockets. take for example a Dante, which is good for 31 additional max dmg and cost about +800ped. Compare that price to whatever high lvl Laser amp is needed to match it. Alternatively note that your A105 imp has about double the markup of a Dante at a measly 18 dmg.
As for a specific recommendation I will sit back on that discussion, as I use daily token guns to fulfil my ranged requirement and not personally acquainted with the UL versions. I am primarily a melee user.
