Other than level 100 weapons with no SIB, the range of SIB is typically 5-7 levels?

Why do we not see any weapons with say a range of level 50-100 SIB?

What would be the advantage of this? (not being smart, seriously asking)
Unless the weapon is amazing, it wouldn't make much sense to use until you are maxed anyway or very close to it.
I suppose for your particular example. the larger SIB would mean you could get a reasonable hit ability at say lvl 90, where with a 90-100 SIB it would be less attractive.

A lot of the fen/mayhem weapons have a 10 level sib range. First gen combustive chips also have a HUGE range (80 levels for first gen combustive 8)

Is SIB really worth it now anyways? with the way loot 2.0 works and tt input determines your loot not a fixed loot on mob hp, does SIB really have a place? Is the skill gain worth it that much to not get crits and to get misses? Wouldnt it just be better to be 'Requires level XX" to use?

SIB is a noob trap
This.
So many new players for some reason seem to think once they hit the end of the SIB that they need to upgrade because they either wont get any more skills, or simply can't use the weapon anymore. I bet MA love it.

Loot 2.0 changed the significance of unmaxed weapon use on loot returns, which also correlates to SIB use.

Keep in mind that in order to max a SIB weapon you have to get 20% of the total levels needed above the end of SIB. DOA Slugstorm for example is SIB 80-84 but you don't max attacks per minute until 84.8, other weapons with 10 level SIB range require 12 levels to maximize use. Would you really want a 50 level SIB after accounting for needing 60 levels to max attacks?
