Question: Why tier ”normal stuff”

The only alternative to hunting is depositing money. You can no longer play this game from sweating with ridicules low prices. Sweating is one of the many things which is dead.

The far most important thing for us ordinary players is creating right interaction value with the target, ofc more important than efficiency.
Sweating, what does that have to do with hunting eco?

Yes but in context of ppl buying loot 2.0 guns for 200k just to get 1-2% more tt return the added cost on normal gear usage you give as an example simply gets ridiculus. Just buy L stuff at the dps level you need with decent eff and lowish mu and hunt markup.

that and you can always go unenhanced for zero markup for smaller mobs. Even the low MU armatrix series will do more than 101% of the total run cost in markup only. If we consider 10% efficiency gain 0.7% tt return that markup kills the gained efficiency also. And with a UL gun you always have guns. When traveling to other planets or grinding it can be a PITA to source guns if you don't stockpile them.

Using your UL gun without enhancers is better than L yes.

Yes but the mu spent on enhancers do practically nothing on improving eff%. While using the L alternative does. But best is to use UL but without enhancers.

It can change what you can hunt and cycle more per hour. Meaning you could open possibilities to hunt bigger mobs for markup for a short while without having to put in a lot more peds for a higher dps gun.

An L gun in the same dps range as my cheap UL gun in the example above cost over twice as much in markup as using mine at tier 5. Gaining only 8-9% efficiency then won't cut it. At some point they are even tho.

Another thing is that we don't know how looter level and efficiency stack. Not knowing this for sure it's better to not pay markup for being at around the same efficiency. Markup is stated to never be paid back so that we know for sure.
