I haven't used MF in probably a decade and was looking at some entry stuff.

I'm curious why one would purchase the limited 10-A implant which is more expensive and has higher implant deterioration than the TT implant, which supports the same level chips?

Also, what exactly does the deterioration do?

A decreases decay of the chips for 10% (takes the decay to itself), B for 20%, great when you buy L chips for markup, especially for high markup chips like Arsonistics.

Personally I got rid of my ul implant and now use only B.

Scratch that.

Svarog's answer is way better...

As far as I know, the implant deterioration determines how much of the decay off the mindforce chip it absorbs.

So the higher that % is, the less decay your mindforce chip suffers and the "more" you'll save.

If and only if, the mindforce chip's mu is drastically more than that of the implant's mu.

Ah, I see now. So basically you're transferring the decay to the implant, the benefit being that the implants will have less MU than the chips?
