Well i got this idea from a website my gf plays other games on and thought it could be fun to see how people get on with it here..

Im offering a 500 EFDs reward to the first correct answear each week just for answearing this Question correctly. im hopping to do this every week so any EFD donations are welcome as i only have a few K so will run out in a few weeks otherwise.

Q: If a guy deposited 1663 Peds. A few days later, that same guy deposited 1527 Peds. A few days after that, he deposited 1126 more Peds. Then later, 1096 Peds.

What will be his next deposit?

A:
prizes awarded to Nihilist for getting the same answear as the website..and to LvLynx for getting the answear i and alot of others did.

Actually there is infinite amount of possible answers.

For example if we take simplified example: 1,2,3 How many ways we can continue it?
1)4,5,6 natural progression
2)1,2,3 repeat same numbers
3)5,7,11 - 1 and prime numbers etc...

But for this case I will go with 673. :D

The correct answer is that there is no one correct answer.

But just to be on the safe side ; A: 42.

to save any arguments i will be going with what ever answear the Website i ripped the question off chooses as correct..
There quiz is over and the answear should be up in an hour or two :) untill then..all guesses are open. :)

I have been looking a little more into there quiz and looking at some of the older ones its not always maths infact they have some very wierdo ones indeen. so could be fun was to win some EFDs.

i will prob put up a new quiz latter tonight or tomorrow as this one was ment more to see how people responded and if it was worth doing again.

673 ped

Regards,
RiRa

A=1746

guess, guess

0 Ped

because he apparently lost 5412 ped within a couple of days and is too frustrated to carry on? :D

My guess is 1095 PED.

762ped perhaps.. or 902...

(I fail to see maths in that, however It's an awesome way to keep mining-theory-creators busy :p)

are u guys picking numbers randomly or have worked it out?

how did u get 673?

1: 1663
2: 1527 is 136 less
3: 1126 is 401 less
4: 1096 is 30 less
...............295 less (because 136-30 = 106 and 401 - 106 = 295)
5: 801

umm..
673, 801 or 887 i think
:D

Im going for 917 :D

how about 1285
(If he adds 295 every two deposits and substracts 106 per deposit)

Hm, south carolina was founded in 1663 and magellan finished his trip (or maybe some afroamerican travelled across the southern america) in 1527 but the rest fails me...

My guess is 689 though.

are u guys picking numbers randomly or have worked it out?

how did u get 673?

My guess of 1095 above was acquired this way:

1663 (added all digits) 1+6+6+3 = 16
1527 (added all digits) 1+5+2+7 = 15
1126 (added all digits) 1+1+2+6 = 10
1096 (added all digits) 1+0+9+6 = 16

Then I thought the answers were a pattern: 16,15,10,16
Figuring the next deposits digits should have a sum equal to 15, I then chose the next lowest number (lowest because all the deposits prior were getting smaller) whose sum of all digits equaled 15, which is...

1095 :D

A: 589

Based on a second order progression, but still weak.

Oops, same math error here, result should be: 801.

1663 + 1527 = 3190 - 2653 = 537 - 431 = 106
1527 + 1126 = 2653 - 2222 = 431 - 325 = 106
1126 + 1096 = 2222 - 1897 = 325
0801 + 1897 = 1897

Hmmm, a double differential test yields an non-validated result of: 2073

So its more likely to be something else entirely, but I don't want to mess with splitting the digits up so I'll shut up and see what the real answer is.

well..seems this quiz was very spocific to the website its self this week so ill give two prizes..one to the guy that obviusly uses that website and another to the person that got the same answear as me using maths lol

Yay, thanks for EFD :) I hope you will post new ones.

so after this little exsperiment quiz ive decided to keep going with doing a weekly quiz. i will prob start the proper thread later tonight with an easy one to start.

I will prob be using riddles, maths questions and well..what ever else i can drag up from my brain or other places :)

as before ill donations are welcome. i have 7k EFD in the bank atm so ill keep going till im out of EFDs.

hope you all have fun

yep thats where i got that one from. all others will be coming from a differant source. as stated, this was more a test to see what the take was like on the puzzles..just dont know the website well enough to have known it would be very site specific.
