WoF Topic

Well, until the semis you can run a Team with 4 members and only lose out on support. I imagine if Da, Rei, Neomaven and Star break off from Team USA and form Team Hawaii they'd probably get a fair way through the tournament ;)

......we will never know :D

Over the last few nights I have seen some WoF teams out there practicing...

new_wof_teams.jpg

I have not been able to actually find them in action, but we may have some new competitors out there

Gday All,

LOL

Someones been doing a Geography class and thought it would be cool to name a team after places they want to visit.

Same mob and same sort of team name without variation....capitals, native tongue, slang, odd key characters? Forget it.... it dont matter till we hear those famous words.....

GO GO GO!!!! :wtg:

Aussies massed and ready!

Bags :D

Surely no-one would do that...

I would also like any teams not registered to do so as soon as they can, and for those in doubt to confirm their participation....

btw I've been to Iceland and Peru but failed to get teams started in either... mebbe they're just vocal WoF fans or somehow think there's loot in putting WoF on the team-name:)

Is there a deadline for posting the Main 12 selection?

Is there a deadline for posting the Main 12 selection?

I'd like all these in to me by pm before the 24th of Feb, but I'm not about to disqualify anyone who gets it in a bit late... the Moblist for Stage One is coming out at the Launch party on Feb 28th, and I want to be telling registered teams the news:)

The totally FINAL DATE for team and Captain selection is
March 5th. I need 2 days to sort you all out etc.

A bump to see if more info about teams is out there... time for talking is ending... time for action

Barring a last minute entry, our 2009 World of Firepower participants:

One of these kids is doing their own thing...

Ouch... That means that only one team will not progress past the qualifier/ranking stage... It'll be like forgetting your swimming cossie on a day out at the beach as a child and thus being the only one having to sit in a seaside greasy spoon cafe with seventies decor and old ladies that smell of wee and cough like it may be their last, and noisy families with bored, older kids that look at you like they want to beat you up, so you run out of the building and down side-streets - you don't know where you're going... you're a kid that's lost - so then you try to hide in the public toilets but punks are loitering outside...but it's ok, the nice man with the carrier bag has offered to help you get in. You're safe....anyway, that's what I would imagine it would be like...I hope I'm not in that team

Picture above edited to reflect the sudden departure of Tibet... they will not take part this year.

Not a huge surprise, but glad you guys did the right thing. Hope to see you adopt the legendary 3rd continent as a team name, or anything else, next year.

Of course this leads to too little time for the real Tibetans to be able to achieve what they wanted, but at least the option is now available to them in the future.

Hi,
I was wondering, with Neverdie being a sponsor and all, if there are any plans to have an up dated scoreboard/tournament progression display outside of the bank in Port Atlantis (or anywhere else for that matter)?
/Frank
p.s. come on IRELAND!

Watching the scores on TV

Not a bad idea at all....I think you spelled 'Eudoria' wrong though... you spelled it I.R.E.L.A.N.D....
