Now a probability question

player 1 is a weirdo, does want to convert his damned ammo in the boxes and wants to get some minerals to recycle his keys
he opens 40 mining boxes ... gets somehow 5 amps, or 10 amps

now he is reset and needs to open again
he will get NONE

if in the original series he was entitled (in a non buggy game, where all the responsibility and shame is on MA programmers and loot design team, he was entitles to get (example) 1 siplex and 1 rare materials, now he gets none.

moreover he is nameshamed by the communityu, while he just wanted his damn ammo to decay them

punishing someone else for an error is worse than a crime

the only thing i would have accepted would be to soulbound the items : YOU GET IT YOU USE IT

please put 10.000 eur of wage bonuses allocated pool in the mining loot pool to show MA employees that they work for US, the PAYING CUSTOMERS,
and if they fail, they are to indemnify the community.

just my 2 probes

Answer.
Strongboxes have a ratio. 1/100 or 1/200 etc.
When servers see that ratio is completed they release 1 epic, mega, legendary drop. And reset the counter again.
If someone come and force the sistem to belive that he made 1.000.000.000, sistem will allow 10.000 legendary drops. Because everything is conected in Entropia, will not matter who will open after, they will all recive the legendary drop because "pool" was open.
MA allready have care about players cant abuse, but some items or actions are still not on to that list.
I bet there was a player who avoid MA security program and just release that flood what have made this error alive.

A main question to follow is: what is cause and what is effect?
Did the execute messages start because so many people had started clicking/pressing space, or was it part of the original situation?
Were the execute messages important in any differentiation of what a success looked like when one got through, i.e. did the system add one to the box counter even on fails, thus tripping the bonuses more, or was really EVERY success a big success because the pool had more in it for some other reason?

i dont believe that EU servers can be "packeted"... we would have level 1 ppl "packeting" lp-130 damage to surrounding monsters.
easyest explanation is some wrong flag somewhere as a human error

I allready said, not all was sloved. Was a time for all, now are fixed. Greedy for cycle more, spend more....sometimes cost more that you can think.

I think that things are more nuanced than every "cannot execute" is an exploit.

For example you go to a casino and the slot your on play button does not work each time (cannot execute), however returns are in normal proportion just slower due to annoying button connect. Casino leave you be and all goes normal.

However if after spamming the play button each spin is a jackpot or feature, the casino will close that down real fast.
nuance in interpretation perhaps, however, penalties are not nuanced - they are concrete, and final

again, i think the right answer was a simple reverting of all the strongboxes opened during that period, and a return of the boxes and keys. punitive actions for people who were actually playing the game as intended simply does not make sense. it introduces uncertainty and doubt into the system.

I do disagree because it's some of the same folks that keep exploiting. (not necessarily with this one, but I haven't really been watching to see who's had a break and who hasn't).
I dont think we disagree that much. People who have a history of bad behavior or taking advantage of exploits/Bugs/Glitches should not be left to continue this behavior.

Sometimes even good people can momentary "jump" on the wagon of something thats a bit uncertain at the time. We can now look back and see that it was a glitch that kept working through a ton of boxes, but people can have participated in this at the start of the discovery and jumped off board relatively fast afterwards. Now their hands are still "dirty" and i hope they take it up case by case, even if it takes a good while to do like that.

Sure. I don't think we need to go from 0 to 100 in 1 case. But there are some folks, not to mention names but you know who they are, who have been exploiting people, bugs, situations, etc for quite some time; including, but not limited to, exploiting bugs or encouraging people to steal from others through an exploitation of PVP.

No matter what you think, the community has gotten extraordinarily toxic because of this behavior being allowed to continue unimpeded.

I also hope that more attention to these type of players will be granted, EU is very much about community and a nice place to be. and it have been more natural like that in the past, thats how i remember it.
