Finally now the last parts have dropped (on auction), I've managed to get together a complete set of Vigilante SGA edition.

Decided to buy the pieces when they were available before they began to disappear and shift to various accounts - getting mixed in with other peoples normal Vigi sets. No doubt the longer it is left buying the pieces, the more unlikely it is to get a complete set.

Suffice to say, if I ever sell it in the distant future, it won't be split up.

Not looted any SGA items yet, not even some crappy SGA Pixie or whatever. Had to resort to buying a little piece of the new golden age. Still, there is the rest of this month to go. I'm expecting the remainder of whats not been looted to drop during Merry Meyhem. Figure MA will be left with 100-200 or so remaining things to be looted at the very end, and so have no choice but to get rid of 'em in loot. Optimistic, but hey. :)

Seen the places in EU are getting busier again, which is good. The whole world still feel alien to me, it... how can I put it... it doesn't FEEL like EU. It feels like a completely different game. Hopefully with the increase in players active, maybe a few more on my FL will return. If not... back to attempting to socialise with random people. :(

At least the game feels more stable now - less laggy and crash prone as it was after VU10 was released. Does at least feel like something thats genuinely playable, which is one thing I guess a lot of people were waiting for - hence the greater ingame population. However it does not seem to be SLI friendly, as whenever I have SLI enabled the framerate seems to go down by as much as 20-30%. Seems a bit strange since the CryEngine is GPU rather than CPU intensive. Dunno what MA have done, but I guess it's not so much of a big deal having to disable a graphics setting each time I want to play EU.

Oh, and the new proposed upgrades for weapons and such. As posted in the thread, I swear MA have nabbed that idea from a 2005 FPS game *cough*Pariah*cough*. To quote a review of it:

"The Healing Tool can restore health bars, and by upgrading the Healing Tool with weapon energy cores you can add even more bars"

"Most of the weapons in the game can be upgraded with weapon energy cores, which you'll find scattered about the landscape. [...] Each weapon has three upgrades, costing increasing amounts of weapons cores. [...] A sample of upgrades: for the Bulldog, you can increase its rate of fire, calm its recoil, and add an armor-piercing ability"

Sound familiar? By adding cores to items you can tailor stats. All they've done is add crafting instead of finding the upgrades. However, whilst it's rather cheeky and will most definitely make some items overpowered (Felis + Pro900 with like a 2x damage and rate of fire multiplier anyone?), it could be fun. At least we'll have control of how well our gear is suited to our style of play. No doubt eco-freaks will upgrade durability, or PKers make the gun... well, set phasers to 16 :p

Look forward to some of the combinations people come up with.
