Greetings all... listed below are records that I have calculated after going over every match in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Loot was dramatically different when comparing the 2007 and later campaigns. The "Low Loot" records will likely stand forever as a result of larger teams and generally faster kill rates in 2008 and beyond.

The qualifying rounds for both seasons are not included in these records. So if you recall a ATH of 50,000 PED in the qualifiers, it will not be listed here as a record loot. All records regarding number of globals and HoFs for 2008 and 2009 do include support since those globals and HoFs contributed to the points of the team.

In 2010, there were 5 qualifying hunts. Because of this, the won-loss records will only reflect those teams that advanced to Stage 4 in 2010. The won-loss record indicates performance in matchplay.

As of the conclusion of the 2009 Season, I started listing the top 3 records in each category.

Nice post Rayne :)

Why are qualifiers excluded out of interest? Shame not to include Denmark's big 10k+ HoF which is the biggest so far of the tournament I think.

Thanks Jimmy, and thanks for the EFD. My goal is to have more than Bertha!

The data for the qualifiers is almost non-existant afaik. I do have the scores (since that is what the qualification was based on). Loots and stats from the matches... not so much. Unless Hurrikane has an old spiral notebook in a closet somewhere...

Other reason would be that the qualifiers are not head-to-head competition. Each team is competing with the entire field to be one of the top 24 to advance to the "Groups". However, if those match records were "found" I would gladly include some of the stats in these records - especially the 10K+ from Denmark. At a minimum that would would command an honorable mention!

Great work Jade :)

And yeah I was going through the records there and thought imediatly of the Denmark score - I was the judge for Denmark for that match so should have the scores I pm'd Hurri somewhere. Lets me have a search through the PM archives...

Edit - Found it

Team Denmark

Thanks, Spike, for the EFD and the documentation for the Denmark HOF!! Honorably mentioned above ;)

And thanks to MS9 for the EFD award! What a great bunch of guys and gals!! If you could only see the massive Excel file I built to track every recorded WOF match in 2007 and 2008... At least now the backbone is in place and once we get cracking on WOF 2009 (still too far away...) I can easily input the newer data and update records as they are broken.

I would like to add this little tidbit of trivia... In the 2008 WOF competition, the total loot taken by all teams is...

256,890 PED

It was 87,522 in 2007... that is a large increase. Total loot for the two seasons is : 344,412 PED

Is that just Main Teams I presume?

Final could be interesting, I'd guess maybe close to 15k, I know over 10k was done on spiders alone.

Correct - main teams only. Loot from the support teams actually does nothing for the score a team gets. We track it (while judging) but it affects nothing. Tracking them by value allows us to ensure we get them all. DJ's England support team, for example, was racking up so many Berycled Stalker globals the only hope of making sure we got them all and at the same time did not count the same one twice was the amount.

I would imagine NeverDie is pleased... especially with the off-world semi's  34,352 was the total loot by 6 teams, the majority of which was in the Daspletor dome!

Yeah probably wasn't a bad weekend for ND, although over the course of the tournament I daresay Deathifier did better out of it actually (Globsters, SEGs, Miner Bots, Bristles, Repesilex...).

More Stats, Trivia

Since I have transformed all the data from the WarSheets into spreadsheets, might as well share the info!

Here is the breakdown of loot by team for each stage of the 2008 WoF:

Here is the all-time composite standings (based on W-L record):

Again, the offer stands: If there is a bit of trivia or a stat someone would like me to attempt to dig out of all these numbers, please let me know. Strangely, I find this rather interesting :scratch2:

Original post is updated to include data from the '08 Finals... one change of note is:

Most Points, Season
3555, England (2008)

This record was held by Tibet, until England surpassed it in the Finals.

Don't suppose you happen to know how many globals there were in 2008, and how many of those were Susans?

Why, yes.. I do (sort of)

Susan's : 14
Globals : 3511
HoFs : 118

Global and HoF totals do not include the Semi's or the Finals... I never saw the scoresheets for either round. Susan totals are accurate afaik.

We are getting closer and closer... which records will fall in WoF 2009?

Make sure you are on a team to share in the glory of the finest competition Calypso has ever seen!

And... bumped by request ;)

I'm hoping for this one:

Most consecutive WoF titles: England (2)

:D

I am sure you will have to fight Team USA for that spot, mate! cheers :)

Yeah, but you can't get that spot this year ;)

ah-ha, 'consecutive' :hammer:, got your point, but, England will have to pry the winners spot from USA's dead and revived collective bodies :pimp: to get the WOF Championship and the "Most consecutive" title :D

You tell 'em Jimmy

hahaha, I am being ganged up on! :p Had to bring in re-enforcements Jimmy?

There was an error in post 10, the table showing the composite standings. Scotland's all-time record is 6-6 not 5-7. This is corrected and I apologize to the Scots

WoF Seasons 2007 and 2008 MatchPlay

This is the records thread... so it should not only be about the highest, the most or the lowest. It is a place to record the WoF

First off, some explanations. WoF 2007 had the following format:
Stage 1 (Qualifiers)
Stage 2 (6 groups of 4 teams, each playing the other once)
Stage 3 (3 groups of 4 teams, each playing the other once)
Stage 4 (SemiFinals; 6 teams with a 3 on 3 format)
Stage 5 (Finals; 3 teams hunting all at once)

WoF 2008 had this format:
Stage 1 (Qualifier round 1)
Stage 2 (Qualifier round 2)
Stage 3 (6 groups of 4 teams, each playing the other once)
Stage 4 (3 groups of 4 teams, each playing the other once)
Stage 5 (SemiFinals; 6 teams with a 3 on 3 format)
Stage 6 (Finals; 3 teams hunting all at once)

As can be seen, the difference is there are now 2 rounds of qualifiers. Both scores are combined and the top 24 are grouped for the remainder of the WoF. So when referring to matchplay, that began in Stage 2 2007 and Stage 3 2008

2007 looked like this:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

2008 looked like this:

So that is how the tournement progressed for each year. All the scores are in there as well, so you can see how (for example) France matched up against Germany over the history of the WoF.

WoF 2009 is approaching (not fast enough) and I am looking forward to updating the records as they are broken as well as the historical standings for each team.

Best of luck to all the WoF Teams out there - without you all as brave, determined competitors, there would be no tournement

i heard once one team got 3 globals in 1 second... not sure how true this is.

It is very true... Team Italy on Drones in 2007 did it

Well... I just researched in the 2007 Globals thread... I found the post for Italy's round and all I could find were globals at:
17:53:20
18:04:08
18:04:33

Still pretty damn close I would say...
