SFE MONTHLY PRICE GUIDE

Hello and welcome to the monthly
Southern Fortress Engineering Price Guide!​

As many of you already know, we have started posting these guides to not only SFE's monthly pricing but also to shed a bit of light on the market variations of the materials we use in order to continue bringing our armours to you. Whilst our amazing Marketing gurus are updating the SFE online catalogues, these threads will explain any of the armour prices that have changed, either more expensive or cheaper and give you, the community and our loyal patrons, an idea of the cost driver behind each price change.

Firstly, the familiar Hawkwing preamble:
As the Treasurer and manager of SFE's shops, it is my responsibility to set prices that are reasonable and fair. In order to do this, SFE undergo a once a month review of prices that is an intricate balance involving the current monthly averaged market prices, procurement prices as supplied from SFE Logistics department, success rates as dictated by SFE Crafting department and of course blue print procurement for those blueprints that have a limited life expectancy! All of this swirls around my own amazing little spread sheet and out come the price recommendations for the following month!

So, let us take a look at the month of September 2010.

Welcome to a whole new season folks, and here at Southern Fortress Engineering in the Southern Hemisphere (Which incidentally, is on the top of the world by the way) it's finally Spring and we all hope some nice weather on the way. We just can't wait for the temperature to go up so we can head on down to the beach. Unfortunately after a long cold winter the tans will need a bit of work, but for any of you afraid to show off your lily white skin, you can always wear your Southern Fortress Engineering crafted armour! It will not only protect you from all kinds of Calypso and Rocktropia mobs, but it will even protect you from sunburn as well. Those of you who like to protect your wallet though will be more interested in what the price of the armour is like...

It was nice to see the majority of materials hold steady in their prices and even a few easing back towards the cheaper end of the scale. A couple of rarer materials did rise, but thankfully this was not uniform across all rare materials. The nett result for armour prices was a bit each way, some up some down. Hopefully the armour you are looking for was one that went down!

Price Adjustments due to Material Prices

Vindicator: Price Increase, Harness from tt+130 to tt+140. (Due to Maganite rising 693.28% to 753.64%)

Samurai: Price Increase, Arms and Thighs from tt+70 to tt+75, Harness from tt+75 to tt+80. (Due to Maganite rising 693.28% to 753.64%)

Sema: Price Decrease, Shins from 225% to 210%, Thighs and Arms from 230% to 215%. Harness from 255% to 240%, Helmet from 265% to 245%, Gloves and Foots from 235% to 220%. (Due to Langotz falling 591.47% to 556.56%)

Spectre: Price Decrease, Harness from 250% to 235%. Shins, Thighs, Arms, Face, Gloves and Foots from 215% to 210%. (Due to Langotz falling 591.47% to 556.56%) This is the new record low price for Spectre, the absolute cheapest has ever been!

Lich: Price Decrease, Shins and Thighs from 470% to 425%. Harness from 440% to 360%. Helmet from 475% to 425%. Arms from 485% to 435%. Gloves and Foots from 495% to 445%. (Due to Light Metal Plate falling from 9345.76% to 8261.33%)

General Comments

There are some very nice armours there going out cheap at the moment folks and may I draw your attention to Spectre, now at it's all time lowest ever price and a bargain at 1373ped for a full tt (640) suit. Excellent protection and no decreased protection thanks to the joys of limited armour!

Finally, Southern Fortress Engineering is proud to announce our shops at Shop #10, Floor 1, Twin Peaks Mall and Shop #10, Floor 1, Port Atlantis Mall have had their item points boosted and are now filled with an ever broader ranger of crafted armours than ever before! So, why not head along and check it out? If you can't find an armour that was previously stocked, never fear, it has just moved to the other store!!

well IMHO (l) armor makes sense till about 115% MU maybe some parts with very good dura 120% I don`t see that kind of price in the list so no use to me.
No idea why someone would spend hundreds of ped for armor MU when he could just hire a dirt cheap adj fapper to get a bigger effect in survivability.

EDIT: However I like the idea to base the prices on craft cost!
