They don't care about the people who are hooked and playing now. They want the players who were hooked before and somehow unhooked themselves.

THX to Zidock i can complete the survey now even though i will not have any chance to win that Alienware gift card !

First thing first: I didn't stop logging in (i log in to trade and to talk with friends etc), but i stopped mining, and never really started hunting and crafting.

It is not about poor returns, it is about too big randomness in the system.
I would agree to actively participate in at least one of the three main professions if i had a guarantee of 90% TT return from every 1000 PED TT spent.

Heh for me it is easy to remember because it took a mining run with exactly 40 consecutive NRF (the whole run was bigger than that OFC) for me to make the decision to stop mining forever.
Again thats too big (in this case ridiculous) randomness in the system.

(L) items are the only way to go to save crafting and hunting for the majority.
If i had an unlimited gun i would be happy, but i would not have to buy any crafted or looted guns and the markup on crafted and looted guns would go down which would negatively impact the whole economy.

Most players started out on Calypso. Maybe they looked at the birth planet of all avatars that were sent the Survey. If they're all from Calypso then host event there.
