It applies to the issue that when you leave the game under Windows 7
(I've tested in Windows 7 64 and 32 bit, I have no issue under Windows XP)
The common workarround is killing the thread of the game by the taskmanager (but it takes too long)
The solution that I give you is simple
Instead of having the microphone input entry empty (usually in the motherboard)
Put a 3.5mm "minijack" connector in the microphone entry
Just put an old headphones in the mic entry
(if you don't have a microphone)
In fact any kind of 3.5mm "minijack" that I tried worked
(including extensions for more range)
(but it needs to be there before the game gets stuck, if you put it afterwards it will remain frozen and you will need to end the process for example pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del to acess the taskmanager and end the process)
