explosive bps unbalanced and needs nerf

Yes, of course.

2 Amber Knightley:
I have a BP for explosives.
But I'm not going to use it, because for me, this game is not a casino.
And around is too much people like me.
And there are very serious consequences of the changes that you have not considered. Those people who just burned our resources, then sell the results (ie items) too much lower than the market value and lower, than self-cost. Now are fewer players who are dumping on the market with their items to get their money fast (and to sell cheap) to get another HoF. This will greatly facilitate the task of novice crafters who can not compete with gamblers. This is great! Now that we have a shortage of loot (shrapnel), and BP's for explosives (residue), we can sell crafted items at the normal market price, reducing the MU only on the price of the residue. Now, production becomes real production, not a gamble.
And fans of one-armed bandit let clicked his 20 ped/click and provide us with residue. If it somehow affected the MU of UL items - let it be so. This was more than once. But in the end will be found a new balance and everything returns to normal.

But how i see it is that those gamblers used to stimulate miners to go mining because some resources is today high or hunters to go hunt for some stuff because atm price is higher. Without huge gambler who today doesnt have to buy anything from players there is not so much stimulation for miners and crafters to go out and maybe get lucky hitting higher markup stuff. Its like you make a new game for rich ppl and cut them off from the rest of player base which means less demand for hunters and miners loot and nothing to stimulate the average player to try his luck out there if 95% of loot is tt food and for sure we know we are loosing on tt value. I see no point to hunt or mine because most of the loot is tt food and i know ill loose on tt value. At the end it looks like only the gamblers who dont care about loosing or wining will stay and play this game 24/7 and the ppl who usually used some brain and tryed to survive with markups will eventually leave because there is not much markup like before and if there is there is not so much demands for it like it was before when gamblers have been villing to pay % to gamble in crafting.

I personally don't see Explosive BP's as a bad thing for the economy in the long run, Granted over the short term it has had a catastrophic effect on certain pricings, But as a miner I am still able to make a pretty steady return and turnover.

Eventually people will realise this has opened up the market for actual Supply and Demand manufacture whilst letting the gamblers gamble away with TT items, Something which I personally don't mind, Residue prices will go back up somewhat when the Explosive BP's lose their traction and the real players go back to playing rather than gambling. I do understand this has dropped MU, But I speculate that this will be a short term effect and MU will rise again

I'd say you need to look at where you're mining then, As theres plenty of ores out there which are a nice MU, and not just Uber rare minerals like Rugaritz. Can speak first hand as a miner who is still profiting despite the changes

The EP BP IV should be updated..

a recipe such as this would be more logical :

Explosive Projectiles Blueprint IV :
Nanocube 2000
Belkar Ingot 50

There was a typo I corrected it for you?

Allow shrapnel to be converted into nanocubes and throw in some low mu resources and job done.

Add 1/10/100 sweat to EBP II/III/IV, tweak returns for ~1% increased cost to click. Boom this game is free to play :).

Scrap the tt nanocubes, take Nova instead. Within a day these will have a price that doesn't make everybody roll their eyes upon getting frag loot. Ideally, make EP I use 2 Nova, EP II 19 Nova + 1 Blazar, EP III 190+10 etc. Or together with the above idea, add 1/10/100 Vibrant Sweat on top. Yes, that would be a package which finally makes sense.

you could add sweat, belk, nova etc but if the prices of these materials rises above a certain point people simply wont click these blueprints at all. Only reason their so popular atm is because your not paying mu to kick out something from the system, when you are paying mu people will simple switch to other blueprint's that drop high mu limited blueprints.

i only use explosive blueprints for 2 reasons. to kick out peds from the system or to get cheap metal res for making stuff. Running them 24/7 thinking entropia is a gambling machine and your hit the magic 180k hof when you haven't made the peds up from mu or lost ped is a fools game. oh i forgot one other thing is to skill so its 3 reasons sorry.

You guys use ammo from the trade terminal to shoot mobs hoping for a hof etc so why cant crafters, same goes with mining really.

Would never ever work using just nova's or blazar.

The WHOLE system pays back on tt spent.

With these being 10000% and 5000% then no one in the right mind would click them.

I implied it would have to be adjusted so that while 1 fragment remains at 1e-5 ped tt value, for the bp it would be worth 1 pec. The consequence will be that its price will adjust itself very quickly. Currently at 10000% it is worth 0.1 pec and that even is only including the successful auction sales. Every hunter knows how hard they are to sell. Using them, and sweat as well, would create demand on one side and the desired nerf on the other side. Yes, there will be less explosive ammo produced, but this was the whole idea of this thread, or so I understood. Currently most of it goes back to tt anyway, people only do it for the HoF gamble, for skills, some for residue, but few actually use the product.

If the nova's or blazars were part of it, then yes, i think that is a good idea.

Even putting just 1 of each on a 20 ped click would drive prices up, to very little cost to the crafting gamblers.

Hunters and miners are using weapons, attachments, tools, amps ect..
they also pay markup on unlimited weapons or finders..
They are actively participating in the EU economy ! :)

they should make a personal crafting machine then make it decay
then the cube will be like amo like hunter and miner

I don't think there are too many people who would care if explosive 1 and 2 print exists as is.. maybe a subset of those wouldn't mind if the 3 print stays.. but the IV print is doing 2 major things...first, the gamblers who used to do scopes and other big items on condition consuming resources from miners are now using TT materials. This condition gambling of sights and such uses a huge amount of resources and that is good for mining and the game. Secondly, the print also creates metal residue for crafting at excessive quantities. Hence further lowering markup.. whicheck previously was a side benefit of gambling with materials on condition produced by yourself or purchased from others.

It's not rocket science folks. It doesn't take a genius to see what this print has done to the game. Miners TT returns have crashed (resource caps).. previously 110% materials like iron are tt food almost. Caldorite is 103%... that's just sad. In an RCE game, the dependencies of each profession must be tightly coupled.

The fix in my view and many others.. eliminate at least the IV print and make all 3 not produce metal residue or energy matter residue. Make it more nanocubes instead and complete the circle.

It's a colossal fuck up.

Anyone with half a brain who gives half a sh~t about the future of EU should want this BP removed.

They may as well remove everything else from the game and just make EU solely dedicated to clicking explosive IV because it seems that's all people are doing nowadays. Crafting and mining are dying. The only hunting loot that really sells are more weapons/armor used for more hunting or tiering materials used for more weapons used for more hunting. Which further screws the crafters over. The synergy between the 3 professions is nonexistent, in fact in contrast they seem to be hurting each other.

Maybe instead of releasing these new rings in boxes, each planet should have had planet-specific ring BPs that used all these low MU ores/enmats/treasures that nobody buys. They should have increased the drop rates of pets in these boxes to build some interest in Compets.

Oh I wish these rings and shit were CRAFTED with rare items from all 3 professions.. hell maybe even those could drop in boxes. Honestly.. the decisions that are being made....

The crafting profession as slowly been going down hill for years. With more and more armour and guns dropping there no need to craft them. Especially with the flood of ELM weapons and all the different missions for faps now its only amps and finders that are in demand.

i agree with that :wise:

Maybe it would be helpful if the explosive Bp are not giving Metal resid. So crafting for resid would make sense again.

Way to destroy multiple professions with a single BP ......

Hopefully they realize the mistake before everything is tt value and the game becomes a true casino.

Guys I see 33 pages of this and i cant be assed reading it all,,,,,, I hope someone has had the brains to say this though....

A simple fix would be to remove Metal Residue from the loot. Problem Solved.....

Take some time to consider what was just said before you say No that wont work.......

think about it... the people will have to get metal residue from somewhere,....... thus they will start to grind away cheap ore's Lyst for one? once that picks up next cheapest... and all of a sudden oh wait what? Metal Residue is increasing in value again? oh wait Ores are increasing in value again?

and the gamblers can keep on gambling..... with some other useless TT item that is not part of the current market.

Maybe we need to make a Poll/Petition? to MA with help from the PP's...... its killing the game economy.... Some of you will say MA don't care.... well they will if there is no reason for people to play.....

Sorry if this has been said but I wanted to say it.

That may have been done. Not 100%, but in part. It seems that crafting has returned to the old way, when gems were used in high value globals and HoFs and residue came in small increments. I got my first garnet the day of the last VU, and if you've noticed, the residue section on auction went from 6 pages to just over 1. I expect markup of metal residue to rise again.

That happens in waves.. and no nothing has changed.

There was a spike in CLD payouts when it was introduced, but that has settled back to it's normal amount. I bet the crafting gamblers are losing a similar amount - due to looting nothing of value with this BP - but at the expense of ruining MU for many players. I see no benefits to this BP.

Btw these bps already were nerfed by economy (price of exp bps III and IV has dropped a lot, which means it is not possible to breakeven anymore, while at first it was easy as each bp meant extra 4k for the crafter), many of ores have gone back in price etc etc.. Looks like MA knew what they were doing.

At first i was strongly against them, but now i think they were super Idea by MA.
Look at ore prices atm.. Gold, Gazz (both easy to find in specific locations)... Oreamps are again being crafted (as with ore prices up, there is demand for them)..

All i can say is my comments are based on today's market values.... and ore qty is down and price... to me that's a crash....

two things you comment on Gazzurdite and Gold.
Well Gold will always be around 200% till other ores are worth more... as it is twice as good as the TT value of the worst for Ship SI improvements so basicly Gold is at a low MU amount also....

Gazzurdite is the next gamblers choice of weapon due to Ore Amps........

For players that buy something for a less amount only to turn around to sell it for a tiny margin more and this has been their play style, it wont matter but for the players that go out find the ore/material's to then sell on to "break even" it does matter......

Amount of auctions atm= Same as few last years
Sorry dont get what you are saying about Gold... Miner digs up average 90% tt of ores, if he digs up only gold, then he profits. Same with Gazz. No difference to him why the ore price is so high (if it is due to spaceship owners or any other reason).
How does this affect anyone trying to break even? i really cant see it... There are ways to breakeven or profit in every profession. Mining (go mine on Toulan), Crafting (wont list those items, but we all know they are out there, do some research); Hunting (event specific mobs that drop some nice mu items atm..)
