Ideas to improve society terminal (Part 2)

There is really so much they could do with the society system that could energize the game. It's a shame they don't pursue it.

Wont have 9 year anniversary celebration, I will just wait for the 10th :D

Nearly 0 changes to society system in 15 years. Maybe we will have to wait 15 more years :)

I do not understand why they neglect the social aspect of this game so much. There is so much that could be done with the society system.

So many ideas when we look into it... MANY

I would like a little adjustment on auction also. That you can search for a player to see what goods he sells in auction.
Show up your total sales TT, MU (if sold) etc. Perhaps even your total sold goodies during 1 year, allt time etc. And add to that total fee payd

Gj and keep it.
 
These are great ideas. Strong Societies are great for player retention.

It is absolutely shocking that nothing has done AT ALL to the Society functionality in over 15 years :eyecrazy::eyecrazy:
 
For me, the most interesting would be
- Cap the size of society to maximum 30 people (Variaty of societies competing against each other)
- Ranking Tree of societies in different stats (Variaty of stats to fight for)
- Deleting inactive societies (Too many dead socs, which looks bad anyways)

Maybe it would be fun - having Land Grabs (or some other competitions) based on HP

Interesting yeah. Add to that getting some buff that lasts untill next reset. This will courage more and more soc to participate and fire up the activity by much.

Each category should have a buff add up. Smaller ones say gets 0.5 increased CH, or CD, dmg or anything...
A higher lvl could get 1 or 1.5++ etc. There is so much that can be done if they turn their focus into this. :yup:
 
- When the society system is being redone, autokick everyone, delete all socs

- auto kick members when no login for 6 months
- auto disband societies when only 1 member
- 2 ppl can form a soc
- but a soc can only rank from 5+ ppl

Until MA brings itsself to overhaul the prehistoric society system (unchanged since VU 5.5, 2004-Feb-17!!!) we have to help ourselves.

I manually create excel lists about this and that.
I manually collect infos.
I manually click three times right to finally get left.
I manually collect and process all the info that is an inevitable, natural and integral part of quality MMOs since the early 2000's.

It is laborious.
Since the early 1980's we use computers for those sort of jobs.
But well, this is MindArk. Don't question it.
 
This idea really needs more attention.

BTW, do you guys know how much time this small change would take to implement?

Add more rank types such as:
  • Medieval (King, Prince, Duke, Baron, Knight, Esquire)
  • Mafia (Capo di tuttu capi, Capo Crimine, Capo Bastone, Consigliere, Soldato, Picciotto)
  • Shogun(Emperor, Shogun, Daimyo, Samurai, Ronin, Peasant)
  • Roman (Commander, Legate, Centurion, Signifier, Immunes, Munifex)
  • Business (President, Director, Manager, Secretary, Assistant, Trainee)
  • Egyptian (Pharaoh, Vizer, Noble, Scribe, Peasant, Slave)

I think even 10 minutes is more than necessary. I work with a programmer that would probably get HALF of the ideas in this thread DONE IN A WEEK

Just that MA or @My|MindArk don't listen.

Most of our "suggestions" here, what we are begging for, are the minimum operational standards for every other MMORPG out there.

Since alot of new RCEs like https://virtuverse.io/ and suchalike currently prepare to attack the monopoly of PE, i wonder how much longer PE can fend off the most basic Quality of Life Improvements for their paying customers.

Because the competitors ALL have them included from start on, and hitting FFFFFFFFFFFF is no QoL that makes a game worthwhile.
