"Project Entropia" Music by NoBion

New very cool track
"New Blood At Camp Icarus". Slow song with very nice melody... And very PE like! :yay:

I decided to make it "Work in progress". i have listened to the track many times, and i feel its missing something... I did reupload it this morning with some added synth sound, but i dont feel its really nailed yet...

As said, i choose to keep the upload as a work in progress, i will work on it more tonight once kids are in bed and etc. :)

Actually, had the same impression. Not that I know what it is... only in general terms maybe.
As you've probably read, the testosterone levels in the western countries have been rapidly falling. This would leave us (in average) less energetic, more intellectual, more professional, less impulsive than 2 decades ago.
If so, more direct, simpler, more aggressive angle should bring you closer to the old PE style music. Just a theory...

Meanwhile I've sorted the McCormick's old PE Music collection according to the year of release and removed the Lars Falk's tracks (except one that's missing in the Mindark's official upload - Monodance original version).

The result is a collection of early (pre-Lars Falk-era) PE tracks:

Very cool.

(I am not a fan of the Mining Maniac ending. :ahh:)

Well the music i actually want to create some of again is the Pre-Lars falk & Elias... The creater is unknown? Damn i thought it was Lars all of it.

I finalized "New Blood At Camp Icarus" its a lot more rich now :). :yay:

It's not like I know anything for certain. The author is unknown, that's all we know... As the creator is unknown it might just as well be Lars--for some of them?

Then again it's highly doubtful all of those tracks can be just one creator. There's some pretty hardcore German techno, French rap, etc. Could be made by one man but, well, not very likely. Then there's few tracks that are pretty much the same track with only slight variations--smells like free music samples shared on the internet.
Considering the differences it's actually amazing how well it all fits the dreamy alien atmosphere of the game (well, back then).

Also, there must be some reason why the seven "Sound's of Entropia" playlists that are officially shared by MindArk are starting where they start and not several years earlier.

Anyway, it's a [detective] work in progress. Maybe someday we'll know more. :)

All that said, Lars Falk is great! Some of my all time favourite PE tracks are from him.

I have all of he's tunes and I always listening and playing of them in my broadcasts even if aren't related with this game!
Some things in EU are greater than others (landscapes, ambient sounds and items) inclunding Lars tunes!!! I agreed 100% :)

I'd kinda like music from all era's so to speak, but most favorites is from the first years...

The music i created also have inspiration from all era's, i try to get closer to the first years, as seen in the newest "new blood at camp icarus" but 2 brains are never the same thus i can't recreate any of it entirely, but if the music is PE like, and fits the game, i have succeded :). I think most of them blend nicely in on the playlist with all the other PE tracks :)

My favorite track is "sky" which is not the first years. in some of the years the style of the music is pretty random, going from slowly paced astmospheric to more uptempo, in that regard theres no red line between them, atleast not always :)

Going to reupload 2 songs to increase volume level, since they are lower than the rest.

First I wanna say I appreciate the feedback I had so far! I think that for each new track I made recently I got closer and closer to something that blends really nice in with PE / EU music. What I long for is feedback. I always loved the music of this game and never really managed to find something like it elsewhere, and this is where my vision started with making this genre of music. I feel that some have taken them to their collection of music and maybe maybe they listen to it regularly. Yet when I look at my stats, there have been almost 1000 plays in total, but I believe around 50 Downloads which is not really where I was hoping to be. I really hoped I could be that someone who could help expand the music of EU, making music that might as well have been a part of the soundtrack. I am not sure I did that. I am not getting much feedback anymore either, hardly anything the last 5-6 tracks where it’s been more or less zero response/feedback. What can I do to develop the music more to what people want if they do not tell me anything? and is there at all any demand for music in the spirit of PE/EU? Maybe I’m just being too demanding, but my motivation decreased a lot due to this, I will make more tracks EU / PE style for my own enjoyment sometimes :). My dearest regards to those few who liked, shared and gave me feedback. It’s been huge for me, and maybe this will reach out to a few more :).

And give “new blood at camp Icarus” & “adapting to the entropian universe” a good listen, I feel they are the closest to PE I made out of the many tracks :)

They are good indeed, closer to the old PE music than ever.
Then again, you're competing with the whole world on an impossibly saturated market. To make it worse, you're sitting inside a tiny niche, your audience is a selection from PE/EU players (a sub-selection from it that 1) cares about any music more than just a sound tapestry 2) tends to use SoundCloud and also 3) likes your music). Outside that tiny circle, how would anyone find you? "Project Entropia"? > uncertain shrug... that's it.

To break through in this world of white noise you'd have to be no less than ingenious. Not just better than the sea of averageness (is this a word?) but way way better. Even then there's no guarantees, having a good producer and some advertisement wouldn't hurt.
One superb track--they'll remember you for 2 weeks tops. Constant stream of world class awesomeness--some of em might remember you a bit longer.

Also... one famous actress once said there's 2 things about you, energy and personal charm. People like charming people who look good and they're suckers for energy. Composers are left with only one of those.

I never wanted anything big at all, and I know very well that this is for a niche group of people, so I am not expecting thousands of plays. The most important for me is the feedback and to see people actually download it, because there is no doubt that a download = part of longer term music collection while a listen just means that, a one play and nothing more. But this is because my aim was to make something people want to blend in with their EU/PE playlist because it expands and fits well there. Elias makes great music, and I’m not trying to replicate his (still he is also a part of the inspiration in mine) I am trying to expand the soundtrack more towards to old sound and feel :).

I won’t, at least when it comes to Entropia music, aim for anything big. I just want to have something going that really nails it, and people are happy for since it expands the universe of Entropia musically :)

Been listening to this NoBion, and love it!

Very nice thx for sharing m8 :wtg:

This is cool ambient music, if there's a picture also to set the mood like now on YT it works even better.
Although, if u already on YT, add real video and make it perfect. There's lot of eye candy scenes in EU on different planets at different times of day. All you have to do is glide through it and record...
Can't promise explosive success in terms of views, subscribers and likes but making something beautiful is a reward in itself.

I put up all the songs on YouTube as I released them :). I agree with the video’s. I hope to be able to reupload them later with video

Sometimes i do that, but last day or so i played all of your songs from the soundcloud.

Your music fit perfectly, and reminded me of olden days - thank you again!
