Easter Mayhem 2020 — Practice has Started!
Easter Mayhem 2020 features lootable Easter Strongboxes and a new mission in the Codex for Easter Robots featuring skill rewards.

Easter Mayhem – The Robot Mayhem
The Calypso Defense Force (CDF) once again needs your help against the robot menace!

The last few weeks have seen intense fighting between Robot forces and colonist volunteers at numerous locations on Eudoria, Planet Calypso.

The intense fighting during the defense of Calypso the previous weeks has allowed the Research and Development Institute (RDI) to secure a hackable subterranean base matrix node.

In order to retrieve information from the node an RDI Data Interceptor has been placed above the node. The Data Interceptor now has to be activated for the machine to start extracting information from the base matrix node.

Upon activation, the robots will detect the intrusion and seek to destroy the

Data Interceptor. The CDF needs your help to protect the Data Interceptor installation!

The Data Interceptor needs to stay intact for as long as possible. The robots will be dispatching wave after wave of Evicerators, Spider Bombers, Defenders, Warlocks and Warriors against each Data Interceptor. Needless to say, these assaults must be repelled!

The RDI cannot stress the importance of this mission enough and will teleport any colonist volunteer from anywhere in the Entropia Universe to the Data Interceptor’s location. Select your appropriate category under the Global tab in the Events interface to participate.

Event Entrances

Event Prizes
Prizes in Easter Mayhem are awarded in the form of Mayhem Tokens, which can also be looted from event creatures in this and other Mayhem-style events. Mayhem Tokens can be exchanged for exclusive items via the Mayhem Token Trader, located in Cape Corinth, Port Atlantis and Twin Peaks on Planet Calypso.

Mayhem Tokens can be accumulated over the course of several events to purchase more expensive items, allowing participants to make incremental progress toward their desired rewards.

Mayhem Tokens are non-tradeable, but the items available for purchase in the Mayhem Token Vendor are tradable. Note that certain Mayhem Token Vendor items may also require special Placement Mayhem Tokens, awarded as event prizes, in order to be purchased.

Mayhem Defense Gameplay
  • Defend the Data Interceptor from increasingly powerful robot attackers. A round consists of 10 waves, with a short pause between rounds with access to temporary Trade and Repair Terminals.
  • Defense times are automatically recorded and displayed on the event leaderboard.
  • One Easter Strongbox is awarded for every completed round (10 waves).
  • Mayhem Tokens are awarded after every round, the rewards are increased for every consecutive round finished. After every completed 5th wave a Mayhem Token is awarded as well.
  • The top ten highest scorers (longest defense time) in each category win prizes.

Mayhem Annihilation Gameplay
  • Interact with the Data Interceptor inside the Annihilation event instance to begin spawning creatures and start the mission timer; the timer pauses automatically when leaving the instance.
  • Eliminate Mayhem Robots to accumulate as many points as possible in 10 hours.
  • A random number of points (0, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, or 5000) is automatically awarded after defeating one of the event instance creatures.
  • Once your 10-hour run is complete, your score is finalized and recorded on the event leaderboard. You can then start a new run to try to improve upon your previously-recorded rank. The score from a subsequent run is only recorded if it would result in a higher leaderboard rank.
  • You can only have a recorded score in a single category at a time. Recording a new score with a higher leaderboard rank (regardless of category) will replace any previously-recorded score.
  • The top ten highest scorers (most accumulated points) in each category win prizes.

Skill reward for codex is missing.

True, codex for easter mayhem creatures doesn't work. I'm on stage 3 and can't get any reward, there's no button at all.

What about refilling the weapons we can get?

There is an issue with claiming rewards for the new Easter Mayhem codex challenge. However, progress is being tracked and rewards will be awarded retroactively, once the issue is fixed in an upcoming patch.

Wow! This ring is light years better than any ring in game... just, wow! :eyecrazy:

Wait to see the next Summer ring! ;)

The way the game is made they need to constantly put better items on loot or as reward. Probably they didn't even care to design a new look for this ring, just change some stats and save with new name. Now give us all your peds! It's just a matter of time...

The information about the Easter Ring 2020 on the Easter Strongbox page is incorrect.

The correct parameters for the Easter Ring 2020 are as follows:

Is the rubber band, lag and fail, fail, fail, fail messages solved so we can all compete without worrying in this event? Or the peds that we give you aren't enough to fix that issue?

This new information, "nerf", brings it more in line with other rings. Still a very powerful ring, especially paired with XMas 19, since it has no lifesteal. Probably best that the power creep on rings continue to move slowly. Thank you for the update, Ludvig. :)

Changes

Robot Data Fragments are no longer lootable nor awarded as round rewards in the Easter Mayhem Defense.

Mayhem Tokens and Robot Data Fragments are awarded after every round, the rewards are increased for every consecutive round finished. After every completed 5th wave a Mayhem Token is awarded as well.

So, is that a yes or no on the Data fragments being looted?

So, is that a yes or no on the Data fragments being looted?

It seems it will only be rewarded after each round of defence not looted from mobs.

Quoting ludvig in vu17.1 thread..

Robot Data Fragments are no longer lootable nor awarded as round rewards in the Easter Mayhem Defense.
The reason for this change is that the Robot Data Fragments are being moved to the mining system, also in an upcoming release

That certainly isnt solved had issue for days. What I did notice when it happens theirs normally a change in the ping times going from my normal 29 well up to 200 odd

As an extra bonus, the RDI reports that new Robot Data Fragments have been salvaged by the Data Interceptor and can be found in robot loot. The RDI deem these Data Fragments as crucial to their ongoing research and are willing to trade them for previously classified Mining Missions. These Mining Missions offer a chance to uncover hidden Robot Cache Strongboxes. The Robot Cache Strongboxes in turn are known to contain schematics for valuable high-end mining tools, among other items.

The Research and Development Institute (RDI) is a scientific branch of the Federal Empire. The RDI’s mission is to help defeat the Robots by analyzing Robot technology and using their own tech against them. Colonists can now assist the RDI in its research by handing in Robot Data Fragments.

Once you have handed in a sufficient amount of Robot Data Fragments to an RDI representative they will assist in finding a Robot Cache Strongbox. This mission can be done repeatedly. The caches can contain rare encoded schematics which the RDI can use to build high-end tools.

Removing the robot data fragments is the worst possible news for this event. Unfortunately, after removing the most interesting game in the Christmas event(Assault game), they are now removing the most interesting part of the Easter event - collecting robot fragments in the defense game. Please do not broke and the summer event as well! It helps no one and nothing. More opportunities for us = more profit for you...

It can make sense for us miners. We have no event to participate in otherwise, whereas hunters didn't have to directly rely on miners for anything to participate in Easter Mayhem. There was no reason for me to buy those fragments as a miner considering what the loot boxes sold for (and cost to open them). That was a common complaint a year ago.

That said, it did encourage me to actually try a hunting event for once. I might enter in my category again this year anyways.
