Hi guys, I recently try to sell shares of CP.
When I bought, it was quite easy to understand. You pay the shares + a small fee.

When I sell, I see :
- add sell order
- transaction fee
- sell holdings
- edit sell order

If I understand :
add sell order : fee to pay to put your shares in selling (like the auctioneer)
transaction fee : same amount than add sell ordre withraw of your credit really
sell holdings : the amount of ped you recover with the selling of the shares
edit sell order : ??????? Don't understand this one. You pay one time more when you sell a share but how it's calculate. I sold 30 shares and saw this line only 4 times.

Thanks a lot to the teacher who gives me the solution :)

What is the "edit sell order" fee in CP shares selling ?

Hi Cyriaque,

As I understand it, you can add a sell order that is above the current market price so your sell order will just sit on the market waiting to be filled (e.g. market price is 17 ped per share and you want to sell at 20 ped per share).

If your shares don't sell for a while you may want to edit your sell order to it's closer to the market buy price (e.g. change your 20 ped per share sell order to 18 ped per share).

Hope that helps. :)

Hi Larry,
thanks to your answer.
Each time I put shares to sell, they were under the cheapest share on the market. And I never change the price of them, they were sold quickly.
Strange fee.

What I don't understand is a fee to buy shares.

All other items have the fee charged to the seller , not the buyer.
