Are total skill increments increased with unlocks (in tt value) ?

Did not find the answer to this by searching, when you unlock a new skill it is clear that its contribution to your progress is bigger for a while but I wonder if the total skills you gain over time with additional unlocks and when measured by tt on skill chips is bigger with additional unlocks?

Assuming it hasn't changed in recent years, the total volume received remains the same but is split over more skills, i.e. the other skills will slow down a little in order to accommodate the new one you've just unlocked, in proportion to their overall contribution to the profession.
