Info from MA/FPC regarding stalls

I got an email from MA/FPC regarding increasing the number of item points in my Corinth stall. Their reply was that the stalls became bugged when more than 10 item points. So they said that the stalls were being redesigned before Christmas and I should re- apply for an item number increase then.

So new style shopping stalls due out before Christmas to replace the old ones.

So that just means after your trade in it will only have 5 slots and cost twice as much then?
 
Nice. I remember getting an email from FPC earlier this year that said something about some changes later this year, and that email actually indicated that it might be possible to do the upgrades in game without having to manually email fpc or go to the estate broker avatar. It'd be swell if they get all of that done at the same time.

Interesting note - in game auction today, I saw a shopkeeper with a start bid of +1. If this keeps up, it might well end up being cheaper to buy a shopkeeper instead of an upgrade.
 
bump for hoping the booths do get upgraded nicely. It'd be awesome to be able to have a 70 item slot booth! (it'd be maxed at 70 unless they change things since the estae upgrade offer is maxed a 3 upgrades of 20 slots each I think) That'd have potential to hold 11 shopkeepers... That'd be 224 total item slots potential at a cost of about 5k for the shop + 6k for the upgrades + (2.5k per shopkeeper x11) = 38.5k ish... just round it to 40k for a no rent booth with 11 shopkeepers for simplicity since some sk probably go for more then 2.5k. That's the price of roughly 2 mall shops, which together would have a lot fewer slots then 224 and a lot higher monthly fee then nothing! ;) :)
 
another bump - for the booth owners that have not read this thread yet. Hopefully they will increase the number of slots for free. I read somewhere that a few years back some of the Hadeshiem booths got bugged and in order to pay back the owners for that little problem they got free shopkeepers! Having survived vu 10 and those several months when booths did not work at all, I hope they have plans for something similar in the future.

I agree, I think 10 item points is a bit small. They should start them at say 50, and if you need more then you can buy them from the Booth holder terminal. All I can do currently is put one shopkeeper, a sign and 3 items on the shelf!

What is interesting is that they say the booths become bugged at the moment with more than 10 item points, but Burnsey has a booth at Corinth with 70 item points and it definitely works fine!

Anyway, time will tell...a free shopkeeper would be nice

my suspicion is that Corinth is a little different then other places because it's outside. Over at Omegaton and Genesis, the booths are in the basement of apartment buildings, so there's like 17 floors above the booths that have to render, at least partially to show on radar sometimes, which can, as you imagine probably cause some lag issues. Over at Neas, there were problems with the upgraded booths there too, but that lag was mainly due to massive amount of avatars in the area I think.
 
What about my F***IN shop that hasnt been working since VU10 came...

Come on!

any further news on this front? It's November, so Christmas will be here before too long...
 
bump... come on, any more news for us here FPC, MA, or any other planet partners? After this week there's only 5 weeks left in the year!

No news yet, I have a feeling we may not see Stall/booth upgrades this year. I am annoyed as well, it would be nice to upgrade my stall from 10 item points, which only allows for one shopkeeper, a sign and 3 items on the shelf!

MA claimed that upgrading stalls caused problems, however Burnseys stall, opposite mine has 70 item points and functions very well! I may email Frank back and ask him what is happening, because I really want more item points in my stall!

Email back from Frank yesterday 25/11/10 states that the new stall/booth ETA is now unknown....looks like we wont see them until next year!
Such a shame, I am hoping they will have at least 10 item points on the shelf and at least 20 on the ground for shopkeepers etc.
Frank states that the stall/booths will be upgraded via a terminal of some sort. Which is good i guess, but last time it was 20 item point for 2000Ped!!!

Just have to wait....:computer:
 
My darn booth is not working, and I think other's might not be too. This happened when the bugs with shops started up again about a week or two ago... Any item put in the booth now gets the message that it can be picked up by other avatars, so I'm not putting anything there. I assume other booths are having similar problems.

This is the SAME DARN BUG THAT HIT IN VU 10 THAT LASTED FOR A QUARTER OF A YEAR. Right now we are going on a week or two, so you might as well say if they don't fix it before long we will be with this again for another half month... working towards heading in to another quarter of a year. Several support tickets are in on this but it's not fixed yet.

Wonder if they'll do some sort of free upgrade on number of slots as an incentive to get folks to buy more slots and/or as a way to pay back for breaking the booths again, and again, and yet again... Get these bugs out of the system for good, please.
 
I hope its sooner than the 3 years others had to wait for their shops to fixed.
