People are always worried about change but change is actually good.
We are always programmed to think 'better the devil you know' , but I actually think MA is onto something good with the mining changes.
I myself aren't shy to criticize MA if things aren't right but this time I think they are on the right path.
So I have listed a few advantages of the new system as a crafter and a miner... as I know there will be a million posts with negetive stuff... but we have to weigh things properly from both sides to make up our mind.
As a crafter:
I am sorry for people who are having a hard time adjusting (Especially for people with bigger gear and investments like a few of my friends) but in time I think we will come to accept and like this system. Let's give it a go.

As a crafter:
- You double your chances of selling an amp/equipment as both surveyors and prospectors use the same stuff.
- You save time in deciding what amp to craft enmat/ore
- BP drops would be more streamlined now.
- You can work up your way as a crafter from finder amp 1- through to the top and wont get confused which side to chose.
- Equipment /Amp prices may rise and stabilize as more demand and less choice.
- Now you only need 1 set of equipment and go nuts whatever you want to do. So saves money in buying second pair for your adventurous days.
- You can still pick what you want to mine instead of changing gear by pushing 1/2/both buttons and instantly mine what you like.
- You can decide what you will mine based on testing an area and seeing what it is spitting out more (En/Ore) and then go nuts on a particular type.
- Less equipment=Less decay = more money in your pockets.
