Has anyone ever kept track on the ped return per kill?
So you then would have lets say 200 monsters killed with the loot per mob tracked?

I ask this because ive been mobbing punies for cheap fun, when im not out doing healing jobs and i have found somewhat of a normal fluctuation in loots per mob.

I know it takes alot of effort to record that. But because i can kill hundreds of punies in such a short time, i have seen very common trends...

As for the question, has anyone done it?

I used to do it in the past.. when mobs still had peds and pecs in loot it was easy to calc.
Now that you can turn the loot window off and actually see what tt you loot again, I might give it a shot again.

In the old days a molisk young had a typical loot of 78 pecs. You could make that amount of tt with an opalo/a105 which could kill it with 60-70 pecs. There were ofcourse noloots, but a mini or global would compensate for that. It was possible to break even on tt value.

It's all been done before, no worries.

That log doesnt have it, though very detailed.
What i mean is,
Has everyone ever tracked ped return per monster? As in for example
argo1 1.01 ped
argo2 .79 ped
argo3 .27 ped
argo4 no loot
argo5 1.3 ped

Not the kill per cost or average return per kill, but the actual figures of return per kill?

Because of the disable loot option, its very easy, just time consuming as there is no program for that atm.

It was done in that thread.

Edit: maybe the source data is no longer available, but it was all covered.

as each maturity has different hp and different cost per kill due to hp rise in larger maturities, wouldn't the average tt returned be different on each maturity, varying on the mob and its hp, and the hp of the higher maturities?

what would this info be useful for? doesnt it not really matter as people use different guns so their cost per pec will all very depending on the weapon/amp used?

i just dont see how average tt gained per kill really matters, so please enlighten me :)

That is technically what i was wondering, however in a much larger scale of tracked kills... 100-1000's.
But has no real worth as it is the end loot per run that matters, i was just trying to test something if there was one done already.

Have you gone through the whole thread?

Have you gone through the whole thread?

Until about page 12... But im on my iphone at work and its a long thread that has many graphs, many tests, but not exactly what im hoping for~ i do greatly appreciate the help though.

And as there is technically a loot change coming i dont even know if itle appear the same ect.

Edit: nvm i found a small spread sheet of a few hundred kills and reurn per mob, so thank you indeed. Not sure if thatle be big enough, but is good enough i guess.

Edit again: data sheet is too outdated, its before the "less no looters" change.
therefor i cant test it... With that data.

Yes, I wouldn't trust the small mob data. Maybe the formidon data is still good.

You can learn a lot about the loot system by studying the data analysis in that thread. Depending on what you want to test/learn, you might not even need to test anything. Even though the class sizes and probabilities on many mobs have changed since then, the fundamental system is probably unchanged.

Its kind of complicated on what i want to test... And i deff need up to date data for it..

Wouldnt give an advantage in any way, but it would be neat to see if my figure is right..
but again, loot changes might change it on oct 9th.. So maybe ill maybe see if its the same and test it afterwards...

I do have some data on hunting around 500 berycled punies, 100 carabok punies, 100 shinkiba young. On each of these kills, I've recorded the loot it gave as well as no looters......and also my cost to kill each one of them....on average.

What I can say is on average trend it appears that the berycled punies (10 HP) gave me 3 pecs of loot while on average I needed 4.xx pecs to kill one. On the Shinkiba Young (30 HP) on average it gave me around 9.94 pecs of loot and I needed like 12 pecs to kill.

But since it was such a low data sample, I didn't dare to post it up.....maybe I'll do it once I get back from my trip.

But weirdly, it does seem to me from the data I collected that on average 5 - 10% of the mobs you hunt will have good loots while the rest would have been no looters or bad looters.

Okay....not sure if this is what your looking for...

I've tidied up my data and posted it over here in table form so hopefully no one doubts its credibility.

Anyway, the purpose of finding out the average payout per mob isn't so you can "beat" the system....cause you definitely cannot do so. No way in hell.

But nonetheless, what you can do with such data is to find out what are the appropriate weapons and equipments you can choose to use so that you will lower your average cost per mob as close to the average payout per mob as possible. In this way, you will find that you lose much less peds and therefore can last longer and perhaps perform better?

Take for example, compare using Sollomate Kiwio Mk. II (L), S.I. Scorp, S.I. Scorp + S.I. HK110 and finally S.I. Combat Knife. All are performed on punies with 10 HP only, but the average cost per mob definitely differs.

So do you get what I mean? ^_^
