Sunday March the 5th 20:00 ingame time @ Billies Boxing Ring

Wanted: Armed guards at the gate to keep out creepy crawlers and sliding spiders

Three years of Boxing Championships:

Four times a year proved to be a litlle much
This year the championships will be held twice atmost

We started in the first pvp zone, moved to the boxingrings,
took it to Deathifiers courtyard but now be will bring it back
to the good old boxing rings

After giving it a lotta thought plus talking this over with other fistfighters we have decided to create a rule against running ALL the time.
Basicly the fights are against each other, not in a running contest.

This means in no way you cant evade or move away from your opponent
Its just that running past each other all the time and hoping your hit will reach home is not much of a competition.

The idea is toe too toe but naturally boxers can move around and evade as much as they like.

Two warnings, a thirth time means being disqualified
an impartial judge will see to it.

entree fees:...............weightclass:.........weapons:

10 ped lightweigh.........00 >> 119 hp......Agresso fists
30 ped midweight........120 >> 169 hp......Enknuckles 1
50 ped heavyweight.....170 >> 999 hp......Manticore DB


Donations are starting to come in but can still do with some surplus items

what determines what class you are in? Skills?
 
I think it is done on HP

Maby could hold it in a pvp city or outpost in ametha still a few i think, notthing wrong with the ring although anoying bell ringing sometimes although it is nice to have a new location each time bit limited i would prefer unless their is realy realy good reason that it isnt held at club never die because even though I and many othe can afford to go their plenty of other wont and it will turn it into a rich person only event.

Lightweight 00 - 119 hp
Middleweight 120 - 169 hp
Heavyweight 170 - >> hp

BTW I may make use of ND's place :)

Basicly you sign up in your weightclass
and prior to the event you transfer the entree fee

Mostly im around the ring on the day of the event atleast one hour earlier
after the event starts no more entries possible.

Question from a new player (2 months only so far) who has yet to experience a Boxing Championship:

Do the contestants bring their own weapons or would it be possible to borrow a weapon?

You bring your own, gl roaming around in PE and hope to see you march.

btw, if you cant get a pf to participate I might have a spare one. although they are limited.
 
Im not understanding the big difference in fees between classes. I realize that there will be many more lightweights than heavyweights, but do the fees from each respective class go towards that class' prize pool?

The amount of entreefees in one weightclass will go to the winner of that weightclass.

Thank you for clearing that up, albeit a bit slowly :)

And another thing, in the past the Heavy weights used DB MEs, are we not allowed to use them now, and just use the regular DB's?
 
cool a resaon to skill up in that area, a question, is armour allowed, I kinda think not but...

I havent got a set myself but I suppose the damage is not substantial higher then the regular versions... use 'm if you got them...If it does, I guess there will have to be an other rule -sigh-

Nope, no armour :) just fists and skills

BTW No biting allowed neither, so no adjusted- Improved or Modified fangs...

Dang! After boxing all night tonight at Argus, we thought about creating such an event. And here it is... I'm happy, yet sad, about it :confused: Who knows, might do something similar in a few months, for shits and giggles. (bit different ruleset though...)
 
Well after another boxing HoF tonight (damn those idiots like "rhp" who just run in and shoot you during a boxing match, wannabe HoFfers!), I'm really getting addicted to it!

My previous post was under the impression that a FAP was allowed, but just not adj/imp/mod FAP (hey, I've only been around for a few months, so I didn't see last years event). Are, or aren't, FAPs allowed? e-lite thought they weren't, at least he said that after I beat him up earlier :tongue2: I sure hope not!

If not, I'm seriously game! I might even have a serious prize-money donation. I was thinking about this, and something came to mind though. For example, the entry fee for the lightweights. I will be able to put up for it, and I do fall in that class, but doesn't this exclude the really new players (who've been playing just a few weeks?). I can imagine not having AND the PEDs to but the fists, AND the 10 PED entry fee, but willing to give it a try? Furthermore, what about something like the winner of the lightweights going up against the winner of the midweights, and thus having the possibility to hijack half the midweight-champions prize-money? I know I'd be up for it if I was the winner of the lightweights (not probable, but still). Same goes for the winner of that match vs the heavyweight-champion. The chances are real slim, but why the hell not? :) Not trying to run your event for ya, just some stuff that's on my mind :)

I can't wait to beat the crap out of Paolo, rofl! ;) I'll have to get used to the Aggressio though, since I haven't boxed with anything else than TT-knuckles yet :)

No armor
no biting

We have had midweight boxers beating heavyweights before but we stick to the weightclasses during the event, afterwards you can duel anyone u like :)

Ill be in for midweight, but let me get this straight u go in there 1vs1 other player. Each one gives 30 ped and the winners takes his 30 and the other player 30. If not please clear it up :) for me thx

oh and u can only use Enknuckles 1

If I remember correctly, you pay a entrancefee for the whole tournament :)
Like.. You pay 30 peds to join, then you get put up against so-so many people (depending on how many joins ofc)
Winner goes to quarter finals, winner there goes to semi finals, winner there to finals for example :)

So, you only pay 30 ped once, the winner of the tournament gets it all I think.
Sorry if this sounds a little fuzzy, it feels like someone stuffed a collection of wool in between my ears.

So your HP is 120?

Each player from the midweight class pays the entree fee of 30 ped
If there are four contesters the total of that weightclass is 120 ped
the winner takes the total entree fees of that weightclass
plus additional donations...

Hei Chainfire, really nice idea! I was thinking about the same thing, but had some problems finding a good way to clear it up in my mind and write it down (feeling quite retarded, lately! :p).
But let me elaborate that a bit: lightweitghts winner challenges midweights winner; the winner gets half of the other's jackpot. That's fine, but I think that the challenge must be "accepted" by both the winners, and not be mandatory.
The problem is not much in light- vs. med-, but more in med- vs. heavy-. Just imagine a medweight mandatory having to loose its half against some massive HP owner (names omitted!)

On a side note, tho, I think some of the gentlemen here to have some problems beating up girls... I'm one of those, and I don't like to do that indeed (except with a whip, of course! ;)). Anybody can come up with a solution to that?! Separate classifications, with a last female-lightweight vs. male-lightweight round?!

Moreover, Singular, will matches be direct-elimination, or 2 out of 3 wins, or what?!

duels between different weight classes will be possible after the regular contest

Besides, a lot of the female avatars have been created by male players - but I'm afraid there's no way to tell them apart from those created by female players....
 
So...when will this contest be held and where can i cat an aggresio?
I don think that aggresio price + 10 ped for joining is a bit too much for a 91 health'er who will be beaten the shit out from his first opponent.I will be present though...
