A few months ago, I decided to do a test, create a new avitar and craft up to BPC and see how long it took and how expensive it was.

After 3 months I achieved this goal, and now the test is still running and now is 5 months old.

This very evening as I was crafting away, and was suprised to see a gain in HP. Yes thats right I gained 1 HP, making my total upto 91!!

I have heard rumours about this in the past but no-one could provide even rough figures of how many skills it took to gain a HP, well here they are now.

Just for information, This avitar is a Crafter only, as you can see from the screenies there are NO hunting or mining skills, ok, there is about 2 scans worth of data and 3 levels in Sweating, but the rest is at level 1. so this is probably about the closest thing you can get to an accurare result.

Here are the screenies:

It was engineering that tipped me over the edge. but i thinnk its a combination of all the crafting skills that counted.

Intelligence gives health.

Very nice!!

nice experiment, those stats are awesome thanks for sharing yor findings :D

TY for sharing.. +rep

Er I thought I started with 91HP

nope new avatars start with 90 hp and 20 in strength, agility and intelligence

Thumbs up for that info Darky. I can't give you +ve rep as I need to share it around first (must have given you some on another post)

Thanks for all the +rep ppl, i just really wanted to show that it was true, i had no idea or was even waiting for this, it just happened and i was stunned.

But atleast it now shows that crafting does actually give you hp :)

Intelligence gives health.

yes but at LvL 40 and he was only at LvL 30

but maby it was a combo of intelegence and agility

I have also experienced +HP on engineering skillgain ( not INT), so I can only agree Darky

Did you just :revive: a thread that was over 1 year old to say that?

Well, its cumulative not triggered. Popular opinion is that 90 HP avatars didn't start exactly at 90 but slightly more. So the 11 Intelligence could have triggered the extra gain.

This seems most likely to me.

Interesting. If engi contributes, from these pictures in this thread, it contributes significantly less than any other skill already known to contribute.

Doesn't necessarily mean its not the case though - someone do a fap test!

im not sure, but i think buzz said he never hunted...and he also said he has 94 hp...

might be that he has some mining skills or something, but it might very well be engineering that gave it to him (together with his intel) some.

yeah I vaguely remember him saying that too, or someone reporting it.

He'd need something like 150 Intelligence to get to 94 HP on intelligence alone. But that would only be if he'd done absolutely nothing other than crafting (even Tailoring would give him some HP through dexterity too).

hmmm, im not sure, but any chance that furniture crafting gives some sort of skill that pushes hp up? i mean, he did a crapload of that too

Its plausible, I doubt anyone's really tested it. The problem is if any of the skills gave HP in a comparable amount to any of the known skills that give HP (the current best approximation seems to get everyone who's tested it accurate to within a HP) then Buzz would have more than 94 HP. It would have to be really tiny contributions...

hmmm, might be possible that its 1 in 3000 or even more for some skills? maybe even 1 in 5000?

also, it would make sense, because it might explain the hp difference between jdegre's tool and ingame hp...
(care to join me in chat? or we'd be spamming this all over the place ;))

I posted that intel gives hp because it does, not to say that was the sole reason for the health increase. Btw, that was before we had the tools/testing we have now. I had tested with scanner/fap to see if various skills gave hp.

And someone should scan Buzz, because I think I did once and he might have some agility.
