On July 24th I had a robot ship blow up the moment I touched the button to loot it. I opened a support case asking if this was normal or a bug. I included the MA time and the coordinates. As of today, no answer.

On July 25th I opened a support case on a more serious issue. I'm getting a message telling me that I've reached the limit on one of my inventories. I get this message every time I use the personal storage terminal. I checked my items list on the MA web site and I own less than 400 items. The personal storage terminal is supposed to have a capacity of 500 items.

Now items are randomly disappearing from the personal storage terminal. I haven't really lost them because they still appear on my items list on the MA web site.

I have no answer on this issue either.

As many have discussed on these forums, MA has a real problem with providing decent customer service. Is support just choosing to ignore me? I don't think so. I think they are so busy with the absurd number of cases they get that they just haven't gotten to my cases yet. The reason they are so busy is that MA has so many bugs in the game.

If they'd spend a few Euros on fixing the bugs, they wouldn't need to have as big of a support staff.

Here is where I'm supposed to put in a message that I'm selling out and never playing again.

Well, that isn't true. I'm not selling out and I'm going to keep playing. I'm just not going to play any more until my missing items issue is resolved. I probably spend $20 a day on decay and that is how MA makes there money.

No $20 for you today, MA. Take that!

Do you think the CEO is shivering in his boots now?

Mm No extra chocolate for Marco :silly2:

Airdale, i had this bug along time ago and i just think it has something to do with maximum items showing. When i had over 250 in my inv they started dissapearing.

And in storage i just lost random stufff that turned up later but not as serious as this case imo

I think it's cuz of the summer. Maybe they are all at the beach :D

I've got a support case reported the 17th of July and still no answer.

send them a tricky case by saying how can i deposit money etc. They'll reply to you the fastest they can.

as soon they reply, drop them the two bomb cases you have :tongue2:

Yes the robot one is a bit of a shame - hope they get back to you.

The inventory thing is normal. I think you can have 200 (maybe 250?) items in storage and then you get the message. You can store up to 500 but it only will load in 200 of them so the other items appear to be missing. They come back if you take some items out again. I don't think this is viewed as a bug, I'd imagine its to reduce the amount of data transfer, or some graphics memory thing - when mine is full it takes quite a while to load up on screen.

Maybe time for an apartment or some storage boxes for you Airedale...

I had the same problem quite a while ago, and I felt I got so ignorantly treated, here is my case :

hi
underneath here is a supportcase I filed the other day, and it's not closed. because I have relogged, checked storage on different places, but many items are still missing! I want to see them please.

and second, why do I get the message that I have reached my limit in my storage when I obviously havent?

so, that's two questions. could I please get an answer to them?

thanks

"hey there!

recently I have got this red text when logging into storage, that one of my storages have exeded the allowed amount, or something like that. the weird thing is that you can have 500 items in storage..and I just checked "my items" and I have 301 in total. so why do I get this message?

also I noticed that some stuff are missing, like paint, hides and an complete armax skull for instance. where did they go? because I know I put them in there..and no, didn't take them out.

thanks in advance!

Hi! What we have tried to explane is, that there is a VISIBLE limit to your storage and your inventory which stops at 200 items displayed at one time. If you want them all to be diplayed at once you have to split your items in many different storages or small bags. Otherwise you will end up loading 200 items at a time and you may have to reload a couple of times in order to load the items you are looking for. If however, there are specific items that you just cannot find, please specify which items you are referring to and we can reset them for you.
/Regards
Support "

as I was wondering then..where the *censor* does it state that VISIBLE limit?

anyways, hope this answers your question about that

Exactly, it isn't. It's 100% normal, though annoying. (Supposed to be like that.) :)

Mirandax sort of beat me to it

maybe it was a AlQada ship ?

about storage lol as it is 200 visual item's each time as what the reply above said.
the only option for ya is to take about 50 items out of storage and check in to the storage again.
then the unvisuable items should be visuable.
as soon you put them back in 50 items get unvisuable again.

coclusion : thee should not be rich hahahahaha :silly2:  ;)

I see from Jimmy's and Mirandex's replies that the storage bug is claimed not to be a bug by MA. Sorry MA. Your own documentation doesn't mention that you can only see 200 items in storage so this IS a bug. Just another one you don't want to fix.

It appears that I won't actually LOSE any items so I'll probably resume playing this evening.

Thank you for the replies.

As for the ship without anything in it.

I think there's something wrong with the (no-)loot system. I found some fruit on the ground and when I picked it up I got nothing at all. Same thing but I didn't loose any money... ;)

FFS. You can put 500 items in but you can only see 200 of them...

AND THIS IS A FEATURE?!

I'm sorry MA, the way to fix bugs is not to say 'Oh no, thats not a bug'

The way to fix bugs IS TO F*CKING FIX THEM!!!!

I have the storage 'feature' also. Very annoying. I have to exit and access storage again until the item I want randomly decides to present itself. Wow, awesome feature!!

i have cracked it :D the answers to life the universe and everything ... and support ;)

oki heres my brainwave of a theory :D

MA dont have any air con in thier server rooms...... so with overheating we all suffer lag..... any good support department would concentrate on server issues, so i guess MA support would do the same :p

ofc they cant answer all these queries from paying participants, they are all in the server room with paper hand fans flapping away to keep the servers cool :D

obviously they need some air con in there, so what better than to sell some virtual property :D release some funds and invest in a machine that waves paper hand fans instead :D

...... hmm or maybe i should get another cup of cofee :p lolz

lolz seriously tho i have a support from 10july, but i am not holding my breath on a answer

i can imagine the whole support department, laying in the sand
"i just got a mail. we have 2480 new support case, just this day! Will be alot of work when we come back"
"nah, we just take another trainee, like the one who tested the last VU of bugs"
:D

the visible storage limit was a new feature some time ago, to enhance the addition of storage boxes.

I'm afraid its not a bug fella. As stated above it was intentionally implemented by MA. Basically the only issue is the documentation needs updating...

Bah, sorry to hear that man. However, I think the capacity of storage has been well under 500 for quite a while now. I have a feeling it dropped since the apartments appeared.

When you exceed the storage limit, stuff disappears, but as soon as you empty it, all the stuff reappears, although you have to watch it like a hawk.

This unfortunate item limit is the reason that I have a full storage, a full house, 45 full storage boxes, 4 full apartments :D It's expensive to own too much stuff!

Did you note the difference in case numbers between the two? That way you can get at least some idea of the load they're under -- They're not exactly swift and helpful at the best of times.

the 200 limit for visible items isnt exactly new :) its been that way for quite a while maybe its not a bug but just your shortcommings of relavant information ?

and the robot ship thing it looks to be a feature not a bug as to why it is so i got no clue but apparently has happend all along

little things MA, little things......
a little word in the documentation and why
"there is a 500 item limit in the storage terminal. Please Note: that only 200 items will be visible at a time. This is done to keep graphics/performance balance."

Man there are so many "little things" that would make people so happy.

C'mon
One small step for MA, One giant leap for EU? ya feel meh

Someone in our soc has been waiting for about 1-2 weeks for a reply from MA. They are slow since the last VU i think. I hear many people about missing items and missing pedz since that update.

And I believe the limit is near 200 as well. When I remove a few items the others will appear again :)

Maybe pray like me every night to lootius that nothing goes missing.. Seems to help. :dunce:

I sent a support last fri and got immedieate response.... :tongue2:

No point moaning about the bugs.
They are never gonna fix them.

Best we get used to it like spam.

I think they need new programmers.

that would just be making public the lame excuse they give through support. I don't think they want to do that because it would make them look inept to the outside world.

mostly because the statement cannot be true. if it only displays200 at a time for this reason there should be a way to "flip" the page to see the next 200. certainly, that cannot be that hard to do.

the storage has always been the same. it could always hold 500 items and only display about 200. this is not a new situation. it is also a bug - well, improper design is more likely.

MA is in no hurry to fix this because it helps promote the sale of apartments. this sort of position make me wonder again and again about that whole trust thing with MA. anyway...

lol LT.

I'll go ya one better...I got an email TELLING me to file a support case and they still haven't responded over 3 weeks later! Yes, I'm whining about the Entropian subscription again.

Totally agree, I just said the note in documentation is easier then programming since they seem to have issues with that

I think the fact that they dont even have the ba||s to tell people the things that are wrong, speaks volumes about their mentality.

An employee screws up, It happens, were human....If they try and give me excuses and shift blame, my opinion of them drops. If that employee is straight with me and says "sorry boss, I screwed up, its my fault, lets fix this situation" I have wayyy more respect for their charicter and their integrity.
Guess MA's pride will bite their arse one day.

he he, the new LA's were ment to recover revenue from alot of players cashing out. j/k

I wouldn't do this for just anyone, but seeing as how we're such great and old friends...

I could relieve you of a couple of apartment loads of that stuff. You wouldn't even have to pay me - really.

It probably does promote the sale of apts but I'm not sure that really helps.

When I started having storage issues I thought about buying an apt.. but then I thought.. If I have problems with my storage that 'can hold 500 items' how is an apt that lets me have like 120 items, or whatver the usual limit is, going to help?

Instead I started buying boxes. I stoped at three.. why.. because now I have a bunch of boxes that look 100% identical with no way of differentiating them and I have to play the guessing game opening them until I find the one I want. Just fix the f'ing storage MA.. or are they afraid of making more useful the only useful free thing in the game?
