Today I recieved a letter from Mindark including a badge with the information "Entropia Universe Ambassadoor". The letter was dated 6th of September, so I am sure more ppl also will recieve this one soon.

What do you think about this form of marketing?
I think it is a nice way for them to can spread information and to get more clients.

PS. The image is not in good quallity. I had only an old celular phone as the only camera available. I am sure other ppl can upload a better quality picture soon. Anyway, it is a cool IRL item from MA.

Since the letter is to my avatar in EU, therefore I will not post exactly what it says. Anyway, it tells me that they ask for my good will and that I spread the word about the Entropia Universe to people I meet and talk to.

oooo badges how nice... i hope i get one but i doubt it.. cool tho more for the rl items always nice to see...

oh...that's easy. hell yeah, you'd be great.

it's not like u have to go door-to-door or pass out leaflets at the airport.

I recieved one as well. I was a bit suprised when I got a letter from Mindark as I hadn't ordered any ATM card or such. And I was even more suprised when I found one of these badges in the letter. :)

It feels like a privilege to have recieved one of these though, as it seems like the Ambassadors were picked out by Marco. I guess I could say that I've done some sort of marketing for Entropia Universe before, but we'll see what happens now. :)

Since I haven't checked the mail yet (and since there probably won't be a badge in it), I can only say this:

So far, Skam's picture is by far the best. :D

Yep, had to look 4-5 times before i even saw the badge :D

Skam can be an ambassador for me any day :cool:
 
The badges are a nice Idea, I had hoped for something a little more stylish or of higher quality, like a brass and laquer onelike this maybe :)

!Cool badges

So you got a badge.. an simple, cheap and tacky 2-dimensional badge like those that flooded the world in the mid 80's.
Nice that MA are doing some outreach to their customers. Is this part of their new and better PR campaign/strategy, or will it be like the other cool things started, and then just that and nothing more?

Lots and lots of salt...

Good stuff from MA. Shows that they are communicating with the players and trying to spread the word about EU. But a badge is kinda lame. :silly2: I haven't seen people wearing badges in years, I didn't know they were still being made. A t-shirt would have been really cool, but a kinda a hasle to post.

Oh well , good work MA :D
 
just came home from 8 lovely days in cyprus and had read about this on my cell phone today while waiting at the airport and much to my amazement i had been given a bagde to :)

wow thats an unusual turn for the organised. I wonder who had time to design and order those! Did you apply or did they just randomly pick you?

Did they provide you with any other marketing material to help you promote the game? eg leaflets, cds with current vu or promotional videos?

The badge seems good but I dont know how its supposed to he an aid... I guess you could wear it an it may encourage people to ask what PE is?

Just got it in the mail, without applying.

The badge I think is to validate you as a EU-Ambassador, it says :)

Hmmmm. with all the CASH I donated, I should be recieving one that states "EU President" very soon....;..CANT WAIT!!!! :naughty:
