yes but queens hit VERY fast, unlike the devs, ravs etc.
 
Growth syndrome is getting under control, by the end of upcoming weekend the maturity will be down to a medium level. I will run max population on low maturity and low spawn on medium one (max – Hunters/Devastators). Get a bite by THE QUEENs before they will be exterminated.

Since they are going away, I guess I can tell my secrets now...
Ants have a natural enemy in the wild, they know this from birth. If you drop an armax skull next to one, they freeze up, play possum. You can kill even the queen without getting hit, she just pretends to be invisible and wont attack. :yay:
 
Vaps definitely has had good experience with ants and insects alike. Thkx m8 for the TIP!

Bring those armax skulls... make queens drop at your knees!
 
A hard but great land to hunt on, was just hunting there a few days ago and got a fap 80.

One of the few mobs that still drops great to decent items if you can step up to the challenge!

It’s a hard land will shit you not! Especially the way it is now but its also fun like hell!

I was using full shadow and 5bs and queen has hit me 180 max hit, she never really seems to miss me either but I was able to take her down.



Here is a picture of me getting jumped by two.. you can see damage on shadow with 5bs

The first damage should be by the queen and then a Majestic jumped me also, not sure if the Majestic spawned there or traveled over, they do tend to move around a lot and have a rather large aggression range.

I was told that even Neomavin has to hunt with shadow.. or choices to wear shadow for these mobs since they hit so hard... Sorce was from a current warants member but cant name.

I promise, I will come daily to your Landarea and burn some 10k of ammo, if you let the settings at max maturity!!!

It is like picking apples from the tree. Great! Makes much fun.

Sure, Queen Formicacida hits really tough (382 crit on Shadow+5b :eek: ), but got two globals (together 350 ped) within 25k of ammo.

P.S. I'll need some time to find a good balance to suit all ant hunters, maybe have max maturity last week of every month, dunno yet - just an idea. I made max maturity so ppl can get a bite by a mother of all ants!

Nicole a question:

I believe you have used mm for a very long time. So you must be more skilled in using it than a foeripper (which uses blp not lwt and also rifle not hg (ok rifle you skilled quiet some too i believe).
If you amp the mm with a106 you have a range of 85, a dam/sec of 121.8 and eco of 4.43. With the foeripper + dant u have, 19.8 m range, 129.8 dam/sec and eco of 4.15.

Is the VERY slight increase of dam/sec, but kinda big decrease of range and eco really worth using foe instead of mm? And u should be more skilled in using mm too. Or are there other reasons?

People use different weapons to skill that discipline, not always for the best eco. Although against tougher mobs, dmg/sec speaks volumes in terms of less armour and FAP decay. (More so Armour decay in Nicole's case due to Mod FAP.)

On Topic:

Voland, while it was interesting to have Queens etc, my nub ass even in plated Supremacy just plain can't handle these mobs without a Mod FAP.

On a more personal note, and I think one that might suite a wider range of hunters, I feel that a spawn of Devastator maximum would be the best maturity setting, that way you get the occasional chaser, maybe even a Majestic on rare occasion.

There was only one Queen that I managed to take out with dieing only once, all the others took multiple RT effort.

I know that there are many skilled avatars out there that can handle these mobs, but for a greater 'market,' I think a lower setting would be best. Maybe doing special 'week' long Full Maturity settings occasionally.
 
Unexpected formicacida growth is now under control and since then it’s been reduced to a medium as the highest maturity with full spawn of low maturity.

I will go trough the land and exterminate the rest of queens and majestics.

Not to go off topic but the foe ripper is my back up gun, pk gun!

If I was using it for hunting means I ran out of ammo on mm, the amp broke on mm in the middle of doing a mob, or the gun itself got bugged!

So I was on back up gun : foe ripper!

I do need more skills in rifle to be honest but would not use a foe for skilling that up.

Foe is a good choice because its fast reload and high damage!

foe is fast enough to fire even with being hit back to back ...
alot of time can even get two shots in!

MM 2 to 4 shots in with back to back hits with mob.... :)

The LA is owned by Gandalf GandalfSzary Szary i think now, from the last time i saw the land marker :scratch2: Although the info when you enter the LA still says loots include adj M6105 which i always wish someone would change to the real name :laugh:

Well there is event going right now. Spring Hunting Competition is on formi till the end of June. Also I have a lot of plans about next events however right now I'll just stick to Spring....
