What does skilling cost

What does skilling cost for beauty?
(I unlocked Fashion Design with colouring before skilling beauty so this gives me a 7% skill effect)
17/06/2008 As I'm close to lvl 17 hairstylist, I concentrate on that first to reach lvl 20 and unlock beauty sence cause that will give me another 19% skill effect.

Body
lvl 10 11/06/2008
using 100 x 1 skin colour sets @ 200 % + decay = 40 ped
result : Body sculpting 26 skills - Fashion Design 5 skills - Plastic Surgery 6 skills - average of 1,081ped/skill
lvl 11 23/06/2008
using 100 x 1 skin colour sets @ 200 % + decay = 40 ped
result : Body sculpting 18 skills - Fashion Design 4 skills - Plastic Surgery 6 skills - average of 1,429ped/skill

Face
lvl 9 12/06/2008
Using 100 x 1 basic eye colour sets @ 200% + decay = 40 ped
result : Face sculpting 22 skils - Fashion Design 3 skills - Plastic Surgery 6 skills - Genetics 1 skill - Agility 2 skills -
average of 1,290 ped/skill

Hair
lvl 15 13/06/2008
Using 100 x 1 gel@ 350% + decay = 63.5 ped
Result : Hair stylist 10 skills - Fashion Design 2 skills - Plastic surgery 9 skills - Genetics 2 skills - Agility 1 skill
average of 2,6458 ped/skill
lvl 16 15/06/2008
Using 100 x 1 gel @ 350% + decay = 63.5 ped
Result : Hairstylist 15 skills - Fashion Design 3 skills - Plastic surgery 6 skills - Genetics 1 skill
average of 2,54 ped/skill
lvl 16 16/06/2008
Using 100 x 1 gel @ 350% + decay = 63.5 ped
Result : Hairstylist 16 skills - Fashion Design 2 skills - Plastic surgery 7 skills - Genetics 2 skill - Agility 1 skill
average of 2,2679 ped/skill
lvl 16 17/06/2008
Using 100 x 1 gel @ 350% + decay = 63.5 ped
Result : Hairstylist 14 skills - Fashion Design 4 skills - Plastic surgery 7 skills - Genetics 0 skill - Agility 2 skill
average of 2,3519 ped/skill
lvl 16 18/06/2008
Using 100 x 1 gel @ 350% + decay = 63.5 ped
Result : Hairstylist 11 skills - Fashion Design 3 skills - Plastic surgery 5 skills - Genetics 6 skill - Agility 0 skill

Result : Hairstylist 12 skills - Fashion Design 4 skills - Plastic surgery 3 skills - Genetics 3 skill - Agility 0 skill
average of 2,8864 ped/skill

What does skilling cost for colouring? (slowest but cheapest)
using orange : 100 cans 1 ped @ 300 % = 3 ped
using yellow : 100 cans 3 ped @ 150 % = 4.5 ped
using blue : 100 cans 5 ped @ 300 % = 15 ped
using purple : 100 cans 6 ped @ 150 % = 9 ped
decay on colorator/bleacher/clothing 100 clix = 14.02 ped

There is a rumor that says : if you skill or use paint with a higher TT value, you should unlock colours sooner, so in fact you pay for your skills. No way we can prove this offcourse BUT..
Comparing my skills with others, spoken to Etopia and Lady Wolf, it seems that FD plays a big role in this.
As I been testing a lot of colours and the skills you get, blue gives the most in FD. When skilling with that colour should unlock colours sooner BUT..
Your CM will be lower and you will have more failures.
The choice is yours......

CM = Colour Matching, C = Colouring, FD = Fashion Design, I = Intelligence

11/6/2008 skilling with L green with SIB
100 clix with 10 cans @ 105 % : 94,5 ped - return 80 ped = -14,50 ped
result : FD 2 - C 8 - CM 5 - I 1 = average of 1,035 ped/skill
100 clix with 100 cans @ 105 % : 945 ped - return 809 ped = -136 ped
100 clix with 100 cans @ 110 % : 990 ped - return 809 ped = -181 ped
100 clix with 200 cans @ 105 % : 1890 ped - return 1619 ped = -271 ped
100 clix with 200 cans @ 110 % : 1980 ped - return 1619 ped = -371 ped

Skilling between 2.8K-2.9K :
I used yellow and for 100 clix I did get
2 in C, 1 in CM and 3 in FD.
So 5K yellow needed
Totall cost for skilling = 903.50 peds

Skilling between 2.9K-3.0K :
I used yellow and for 100 clix I did get
1.5 in C, 1 in CM and 2 in FD.
So 7.5K yellow needed to reach 3K colouring
Totall cost for skilling = 1355.25 peds

Skilling between 3.0K-3.1K :
I used orange and for 100 clix I did get
1.5 in C, 1.5 in CM and 1.5 in FD
So 7.5K orange needed to reach 3.1K
Imo the best colour to skill on and cheapest
Totall costs for skilling with orange = 1.276.5 peds
I used yellow and for 100 clix I did get
1 in C, 1 in CM and 1.5 in FD.
So 10K yellow cans needed to reach 3.1K
imo this helps you with tailoring more than with colouring
Totall costs for skilling with yellow = 1.807 peds
So I decided to do the test with blue and I did get :
1 in C, 1.5 in CM and 1 in FD.
So 10K blue needed to reach 3.1K
imo this helps you with the CoS when colouring
Total costs for skilling with blue = 1.902 peds
So I decided to test with purple also and I did get
1 in C, 1 in CM and 3 in FD
So 10K purple needed to reach 3.1K
imo this helps you with tailoring more than colouring but cheaper than yellow
Total costs for skilling with purple = 2.302 peds

Skilling between 3.1K-3.2K :
I used orange and for 100 clix I did get
1.5 in C, 1.5 in CM and 1.5 in FD
So 7.5K orange needed to reach 3.2K
Imo the best colour to skill on and cheapest
Totall costs for skilling with orange = 1.276.5 peds

Skilling between 3.2K-3.3K :
I used orange and for 100 clix I did get 2.5 in C, 1.5 in CM and 1 in FD

I noticed that clicking orange at this lvl slows down the rank lvl in the professional standing. So here I did make a choice. I kept clicking orange because it did gave me 1.5 in CM, it will take more clicks to unlock pink, but getting a few more gains in colour matching will hopefully give me a better succes rate and imo is better for the customer.

A way to cut down some costs is to contact a tailor, when he is skilling on Mannell, Basic clothings.... ask him to buy all for TT, colour and dont bleach and put it all in TT after.

What to pay for skill implants?

Skill implants (very expensive)

Knowing all this, what would be the price of a skill implant at a certain level.

Between 2.8-2.9K for 100 skills : colouring 301.16 peds, color matching 150.58 peds and fashion design 451.74 peds (price of skill implant not included)

What is the outcome of buying implants......

We all know that almost all skills are linked to eachother.
So buying implants will help you otw a bit but NOT totally.

Beauty :
After talking to some stylists I found out that those who bought skills need a lot more materials and clix to have the expected result.

Coloring :
After talking to some colorers I found out that they have a lot more non-perfects when clicking.

I never chipped and will never do because I see a big different in clicking it all by my self. I know its slow but will get there finally and with nice results for the customers. And that is what counts for me.

Invest a lot and unlock fast with poor results.
Invest a bit, skill up a lot by clicking with great results.
You will get there in the end.
