So.. What was the patch that came yesterday for? Why didnt we get any info on this and what it contains ? I'd like to know what the changes was before accepting the EULA each time i log in. And I dont talk about the 7.7.2 patch, Im talking about the one that came yesterday with version number 7.7.2.2

Today PE.exe was patched to version 7.8.2.1. Yet another time without any annoncement what the changes was. Nothing else came with the patch, so it was just code that was patched. Next time this happens I will disassemble both the exe files and publish the changes myself. I think we have the right to know what was changed, and what code we run on our computers does.

[EDIT]
And today the 22 of december 2005 there was yet ANOTHER patch without any notice on what the update was for. Today pe.exe was patched to version 8.0.2.1 Looks like it's time to disassemble...

Yeah, this isn't the first time a stealth patch was rolled out. They don't always notify us about this little mini-updates, but it would be nice.

Normally it is only minor bug fixes and other stuff.
What I feel that the patch did was to make it easier to raise QR on several bp's though.

I think the patch removed unused files...

I remember seeing it say something like...

*Removing old and obsolete files*

when the patch was being applied

Well it also updated and replaced alot if files. pe.exe, models.bnt, textures.bnt and meny more. I run a tripwired system, files dont change without I see it. It'd be nice to know what was removed and added. It doesnt have to be extremley specified, it can be a summary.

This is a prime example of "shrink-wrap" - you have to accept our terms before you even know what you're getting. Pretty wrapper but you don't know whats inside. Maybe trox in a box LOL

Hello!
Im encountering the same problem now as I did in supportcasee 56197. Seems I cannot place out any items, even tho I have picked up some to make room for new ones.

My apartment is Omegatron Gamma 7G!

Regards
Skam

Hi! We have done a temporar fix and you should now be able to place items in your appartment again. Can we close this case?

Have the same problem now. Seriously. Perhaps MA should start wondering how many fuckups are allowed before they fire a programmer on the account of being incompetent.

But hey, no worries. Tons of new people coming in. I am sure that they won't care about a "few" bugs...

Filed a support case too:

Funny. The other day I dropped a bunch of items in my apartment no problem. Today I pick up items, try to replace them, and get a message that the item limit is reached. I check the estate terminal and sure enough, it says there's 201 items. So i pick up a bunch more. And still am unable to drop anything.

I understand the mini-update we got the other day was meant to resolve this.
*clap clap clap*

Nice programming. I know you just handle support but please DO extend my warm regards to the development team. They make me feel warm and fuzzy every single update.

*** snip ***

I am, currently crawling my way back to a storage facility. Auto-stacking in inventory also doesn't seem to be working.

Maybe the textures and such for that poster loot? I mean if so they couldnt tell us... :)

Its to armor dmg absorb (base on TT)

Previously during 7.2, even though your armor is really damaged, you will still receive full protection from it. Now I tested a very almost dead Ghost set on ambu and I take like full dmg (like I'm not wearing armor).

Now... my question is, will the armor decay change again?

My god...

Of course not.

Ahh... taken this from the content list

Changes to armor system
The armor durability system updated. Now, only one durability value is shown for all kinds of damage. The armors TT value does not influence its decay rate when hit. The higher the Durability stat is, the more abuse your armor can withstand[b/]. Armor condition influences the amount of protection offered. A critical hit which penetrates your armor means your armor does not reduce the damage done in the attack at all. It will still decay though. The amount of decay is based on attack type and the amount of damage dealt. Decay only occurs when an armor can protect for the kind of damage – if a creature deals acid damage onto a armor that doesn't protect against acid, no decay is rendered

Currently, *stats* conducted by myself and others show that 'Rascal VS Nemesis' decay at the same rate when taking hits from Ambus (Impact only). Since Nemi's Durability is higher than Rascal's should it not be that Nemesis will decay less? Cause in this case, a lot of high end armor will drop in value (Shadow, Angel) since plating a Jaguar can have same (protection) and decay the same but cost much much less.

Anyhow... Stay on topic please...

Maybe this...:

- Malachai Dante bp removed from Tailoring bp book (anyone noticed other bp-slots missing from their books?)
- Amethera Map updated, LA's returned to Marcus Callendar The Estade Dude (curtesy of Jove)
- RL items added to loot

Right, something like that, just a few lines so that we know what was up with the patch.

Updated initial post with this:
