lol.... have you been reading these forums long?

perhaps a lock is in order?

From what I have read earning PED's will take you a great deal of time and patience, sure you will make the odd PEC and PED from Looting and Sweating but if it is big time PED you want then be prepared to spend! :)

For me it is not about earning PED's it is about enjoying the game and meeting ppl, basically entertainment, for example you pay £30-£40 for a PC/XBOX/Greystation game etc then sit and play until complete. No interpersonal experiences or true depth to the game.

True there are some classic games to be played on the above mentioned but from the feel I have of PE you will not expierence anything quite like it.

So forget about earning money, go and experience a whole new world of pure virtual perfection ;)

In saying all this I am a complete newbie and not got much right to preach atm. :(

Entertainment

In my opinion the best way to stay happy in PE is not to think about it as a way to earn money, but to think about it as a form of entertainment.
If I go to the movie and pay $15-20 with popcorn and the drink, while enjoying (and sometimes not) it only for 2-3 hours, than in contrast, for the same money in PE I would enjoy the time much more and longer than that.
Just $20 a month would bring exciting hunting and mining with some unexpected items in loot.
More to that, we communicate, there are people to talk to and there is always something to talk about. We are not alone. (Yea, get that from the movie).
Sure some would come into the game with the hope and the desire to make money on the rest of the players (which makes the game more expensive to play) by doing only trading and exchanges and not much than that.
But in general, I find PE involving and pretty exciting.
We can make our own decisions within the game on where to hunt, what to buy etc... this is not a dumb shooting game like many out there and $20/month that I am putting aside for this game to spend would be a little contribution to MindArk for the job they do to keep this virtual world alive.

If you do not expect to earn but just enjoying the game as it is - you will have your reward and would not regret it, I am sure of it.

And BTW I just got my first 107.00 PEDs HOF today... :) which brings my expenses for the last week into a balance of almost zero. So I had a free week of entertainment...

Scissors...

Excellently put! +rep for you sstouk!

First welcome to you all to EF. As you can see of the older foruméés not to have answered this thread is because it has answered zillion times before.

So go and search for older answers if this does not seem sufficient.

The main rule in here is "search first, ask then". Double posting is not very popular here...although it might happen, that occationally two people start a thread about the same subject simultaeneously.

Trading can be profitable, but you need a large initial investment and a lot of time (your hourly wage will be low). You also need to know quite a lot of how PE works and what makes prices go up/down, so it's not the best profession for a noob.

Agree you have to spend some money but I started a couple of months back with sweating and exploring and now think that was really the best way into the game. You get a chance to really look at the mobs and learn how to approach them, at least if you are not in a big crowd of people. The mobs all move and react differently and knowing that makes a big difference later when hunting them.
Also- exploring and sweating builds some of the skills you will need in hunting too. This reduces your costs later, because the better your skills the easier it is to succeed- as in rl :)

Cool dudes. Thanks.

If entropia could implement the stock exchange, that will be more fun! :D

To earn PED you need to think of this as a serious investment, putting time and money into it. It is possible to make a living from it some people do. But they have spent ALOT of time ingame getting to know how things work, forgive me if I am wrong but it appears you have either read about Neverdie buying the space resort or seen that playing PE costs nothing, but considering it costs money thought that it could be possible to make money from it.

To compare $10 dollars = 100 ped
1ped = 100pec

sweat sells for say 2pec(assumption) per bottle to make 1 ped you need 50 bottles so in order to get 100 ped ($10) you need 5000 bottles of sweat.

You get the idea it is possible but mot easy at most you can pull 20 bottles from a mob(monster) so even if you were to get 20 bottles a time you would need to sweat atleast 250 times(this is assuming at a full 20 bottles per sweat) sweating is very time consuming so can take upto a month even longer to get this as sweating can make 1-20 bottles per sweat and sometimes the sweat fails adding even more times needed to sweat.

I am not trying to put you off but, depositing is easier then free money, trading is the safest way to make money but relies on market prices so check out my two pecs a market watch site that can help.

As many have said this has been covered many times but incase you couldnt find anything I hope this info helps
