3 ATH's in ONE DAY! :)

Anyone else thinks this is strange?

How has your overall loots been the last 24 hrs, those of U that hunt as intense as I do (over 500 ped wasted per day)...

yesterday I was out hunting - normally I break *almost* even and publics 2-3 times a day because I have a flow of like 1k peds daily through my account, well yesterday I lost about 600 ped hunting and in decay, then Skalman gets an uber... Fair enuff - as normal up to those huge ones there are usually a LOT of no loots, losses and stuff and then everything is back to normal - well yesterday it wasnt, so I headed for some TV, and then startet hunting again, then Pham Pham Newen gets an ATH - well also hoping for it to be back at normal, well it wasnt... Then Pham Pham Newen gets a bloody ATH again, wtf is this about? hehe

Yea Yea I whine, well wouldn't U too? :D I think the overall loot situation changes because of these uber ATH's :) And nope, they dont come because some guy deposited 30k dollars or something :)

Bigtime Congrats tho to Pham Pham Newen and Skalman :)

I'm not whining no point, after consitant big losses using very economical equiment I've finally retired from hunting. These ATHs are just a publicity stunt each time I see one I feel sick that one person gets soo much where I cant even break even :(

why hunt to loose peds? Its starting to feel like I have a Crack addiction when I hunt, I go out all full of excitment and return feeling screwed over and depressed and wishing I'd spent my £ in something more worthwhile lol

one good thing for a change I wasnt hunting the same mob as Pham when he ultra ubered lol

50% loss here during that time period.

I've played on and off sense the COT and still haven't gotten a loot over 300 peds :-0
 
Yea that would be the wisest choice - to quit hunting hehe :) That outta be my next choice... but I always hope for a break even point, eventho I know it likely wont ever happen :D
 
I don't know how u take it, but looking at their gear (which already costs load) and at ped card in hof screenshot, i am quite sure he didn't deposited that much, what i deposited i am not even close to break even... dunno... i won't hunt anymore?

I also get frustrated alot (restocks medicine cabinet with another bottle of Mylanta)

Grab the bottle of Jack and drown the sorrows.........then just go IRL Pk somebody!! :dunce:
 
Loots are nice right now in general.. at least they are for me :dunno:

For the record, I'm NOT known to agree with Tom, known eachother in RL for about 10 years (Damn, one of us is getting old I guess) and we are known to only agree on disagreeing, but for once I must agree with the fuc.... eehhmmm dude :D

From my point of view it's not the ATHs itself, the problem is that it's the same type of people getting them 90% of the time.

True, they have deposited much and ofcourse they deserve it, but there is something wrong. Statisticly there is a much bigger chance that other people than the ubers get those ATH.

Then some people might say that it's becourse only the ubers can take those mobs, but that's BS, only a few of the ATHs are from mobs that I can't hunt, and the ones high mid lvl players can't hunt on their own, they can (And do, so they are hunted be others than the ubers) hunted in teams.

True, I might not burn 200K ammo a day thru Imp Mk II. But I do, and I know alot of others that burn 50K+ a day, and I'm pretty sure that combined all the mid lvl players kill ALOT more than the ones with Imp this and mod that.


Not whining about the players, since I have the very most respect for people like Pham, Starman, PS and alot of others (No not all uber have gotten ATH)
And I don't hate the game either (Why would I spend this much on a game I hated) - I just think that MA should either go thru their program and see if they accidently made a code that gives Imp Mk II users and Mod Fap users a bigger chance of ATH than us "regular" people. :rolleyes:
Or they should go for 20 x 1K HOFs instead of every 20K hof.

Just imagin how many people would be happy just this last 24 hours, including the regular HOFs it would be about 80 people getting 1K+ hofs.
 
PED Loss

Not that I spend near as much as you guys but Ive quit hunting since the losses have been so bad.

It all started with the axe changes... i adapted and started using a Kat Honor. At this point with all the plethora of changes and tweaks MA has thrown at me I just cant keep up. I have lost more in the last 2 months than I have ever been worth (TT Value) at my highest point. Its rediculous and Ive quit hunting. Im a full time sweater/trader until things change or I get so bored I go all out and lose all my PED and quit the game for good.

As a friend said.... "maybe I will get more sleep". :wise:

In the end MA and the community will be the losers for having lost so many good community people like yourselves... thats my take. :wise:
 
that with how much ammo they spend daily is a false point of view. is a self-alimentating circuit. if they hof@ several k of peds, logical, they can afford easily several hundreds peds in ammo.

what disturbs me is (ref to Pham):

- imk2: 5000$
- modfap: 10.000$
- i would roughly estimate his skills @ 3-4000$
- pedcard: 10.000$

total (withour armours): 30.000$ (and maybe more, other weapons, things in storage).

of course nobody is forced to declare what he/she deposited, but i don't believe he deposited 30.000$. even if he deposited, he's even. which i am not.

not any chance to break even, considering that i can't loot imk2, mod merc, mod fap, uber armours, etc.

of course, i can't blame Pham for anything (MA's loot system, if mathematically follows the laws of entropy is unreadable), but I can blame MA. somewhere, they did a mistake.

I dont see the problem.. As your signature says, you had 150 globals and hofs in 11 months. Well guess what, I've played 25 months and I have at tops 30-40 globals with maybe 10-15 of them real hofs. Never ever above 1K.

dont hink they should change the high hof´s and of course none of the players getting the New High end Ubers are to blame.. and can truly understand ur point buzz. the problem is people like u and me dont stop depositing :mad: so we make the loss very big and the CC very empty and still not breaking.. :confused: makes people angry..

but could be that we are just really unlucky theese days giving the loot system is Random with big mops giving bigger random chances..

Future advertising system trial
You may have seen the large Hall of Fame entries recently. These have in no way changed the number or the value of lower end loots. A new system is in development, which will enable us to distribute revenues generated by ingame advertising to the colonists of Calypso. To make things interesting this revenue will generate higher level HoF-entries such as the ones seen lately. Ingame advertising will be introduced within a few VU's and the testing of the addon looting system is ongoing in Project Entropia and will remain in place until the advertising system is fully operational. Anyone who wish will have the opportunity to disable the advertising feature, this action will result in the colonist receives normal loot levels as before.



like the idea thast kygon had with the dividing loots from 19k to 19 x 1k
but then u know as much as me that u cant buy anything big and the money goes to decay and then the 100ped left after the decay goes to some ammo.. and then its back out wasting..

So my hope is after spending some 1½ Adj. fap by now that i soon could start breaking even :eek:

It also came to me that this post seemed like a whine.. But I meant "common.. seriously now..." as in: "How the hell does he do it?"

its enuf to have me start a sellout thread if I didnt have some much crap to offload :rolleyes:

BUT let me be honest I'd be loving it if I got them, AND I would feel guilty for the noobs who keep asking me in argus how to break even? the truth seems to be deposit $30k and hunt till you drop or more simply you cant , wont, and dont expect to.
 
Some people are just way more lucky than others. I remember one day, both me and pham hunted cala's in the same area for about a day, i lost 300-600 ped, Pham got 3 hofs, two over 1k peds. Both with salamander helmets. I know im just being jealous but sometimes you just want to stop playing because its so unfair..
 
I wouldnt be suprised if Pham never posts a HoF here again, I wouldnt after this crap......big babies!!!! :mad:

Exactly what I said in another thread. Those HUGE ATH's are all from people who dumped a shit load of cash in PE. Skalman, pham, stormer... The pattern is obvious isnt it ?

lol Pham is the one avatar who does this to me almost everytime , I hunt bots I global he ubers, same in space lol I feel when I see him in space I should just trade him my peds then and there and fly back, save myself a load of time :)

HE gets my vote for most lucky avatar in PE !
 
Ultimababe get back on track please, I'm not jalous or anything - maybe go back read, read and read again and then prolly U will get the clue...

I made this post because the loot system been fucked up, yea I get 1x 6, 1x 10ped loot, then 18 x no loots, then 1 x 6, 1 x 10, then 18 no loots.

Ussually its 1x 10, 10x 2.5, 9x no loots...

So I'm missing 25 ped ever 20 mobs compared to normal - these being gabusagis, armax, atrox, whatever moves S of fury.

On average that puts me either 1-2ped minus or 1-2 ped plus - the last 24-36 hrs has been 27 ped minus every sword... plus armor decay and fap decay ofcourse - not that I fap a lot tho
 
And Eh everyone - please get back on track - this is about the loot pool way of deviding it up, not envying Pham or Skalman goddamn!
 
I used Pham only as example, of course we are speaking about loot distribution.
 
Theres only one answer to these whinging/jealousy types of threads.

MA should be open about how it works.

Simple.

I know that I'm going to lose out overall because thats how the operation is paid for. I realise that I can make up those losses by trading stuff I loot to crafters, who then sell their produce to cover the cost of making the items, the items decay/burn and so the circle starts again. I don't have a problem with that, and I don't think serious players do either.

It seems to me that a lot of people seem to think that somehow the financial input into the game actually magically grows* somehow to deliver loots bigger than the income from deposits as well as to pay for MA.

What I don't understand is why MA are so closed mouthed about how it all works, if they would open up and tell us it would stop all this bitching and those that didn't like it could leave and those that understood and were prepared to play under those rules would be happy.

Please MA, Just tell us how it works... There really is no reason that I can see for the secrecy.

There is a very good place called the International Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR) at Nottingham University that has discovered that openness works better for client relationships and this sort of thread is a huge case in point.

I can agree with Ultimababe - There are so many of these threads it's a wonder theres anyone who actually plays anymore.

(In fact I volunteer to do a research paper on it, with MAs approval, with the University of Nottingham - I've been looking for a Phd research subject and this would suit me perfectly, MA, call me in confidence to discuss)

* - The arrival of advertising in-game could well make this dream come true and I look forward to seeing how it's implemented.

Buzz I understand what you mean, a few days ago loot was very very poor... I was saying something big was coming.. and there we have it 4x ATH in 2 days >.<" oh well.. gratz to those that got it ;) woe to us

It's a casino. And any pull of the handle can result in a jackpot. Sometimes you get the jackpot on two consecutive pulls. Sometimes you can pull the handle all day without a jackpot.
