I will probably use the Google authenticator. Got a lot on that app already.

I decided to go with KeePassXC:
  • it doesn't seem to require any sort of server somewhere on the internet
  • developers are from Germany so the data security should suffice high standard
  • supports several operating systems
  • has been around for a while
I moved all my 2FA-stuff there and it generates the same numbers. So all is good, IMHO.

Uhm can we skip Entropia app and use google?

Any 2FA-application will do. There are some out there and obviously the Authy Desktop Application is about to die.

Basically you should make sure you use something that you feel comfortable to use (and I'm not talking about the usability of the UI). Keep in mind that 2FA is used to secure stuff that may or may not have significant value to you.

Also note that this has been discussed a couple of times on the forum so you should be able to find plenty of additional info about this matter.

I just switched to 2FAS but I think I will copy my tokens to KeePassXC as well.

Is it harder to get support from MindArk for syncing issues and such if you use something other than Entropia Pocket? Everything on the website is all about Pocket and doesn't even acknowledge alternatives.

That's because they support their app and not any other one. Syncing is not related to that neither.

As I tried to explain MindArk didn't invent 2FA or TOTP. That stuff is widely used. Then again nobody is forcing you to use another app, it's an option that you have if you don't want to have such kind of application run on your phone.
