No shit. This is starting to feel like one of those murder mystery party's. :) Although it really is none of our business what actually happened it would be nice if MA just said, "The investigation is complete, we apologies for the inconvenience." Now of coarse they wont tell us what happened but some vague idea would be nice like "dirty peds" "exploiting ring" "Ponzi Scam" "terrorist funding" :)

Can you imagine if at the end of all this they unlock everyone with a shrug and "sorry, nothing to see here" message ?

Various people I know have been unlocked over the span of this "investigation" with f. all apology for the inconvenience and whilst I fully appreciate they have to preserve the integrity of the RCE, I'd be f ing furious if I was locked for 3 weeks with a "oops sorry". I'd be out of here as fast as the 40 business days withdrawal could get me.

If the single person (who seems to be doing this investigation) has got to the point of finding out if something bad did actually happen or not back in 2010 does complete next week then we'll see (or maybe we wont).

I think we wont.

I think there is a general thought about what activity (I don't think it's hunting or crafting) caused it (primary cause), and the common denominator (region) (not Portugal or Israel) the people have.

I think it would have been good though if MA went out with some info for the people who got locked by the "secondary" cause (ie having either bought from or sold to the "cheaters") - not any details (listing "you got locked because you sold xxx to player yyy for zzz ped"), I think a general "The lock has been caused to be possible to investigate trades with avatars under investigation" would have been enough. Well, maybe not that detailed... but, well anything. Not listing the people who got locked for what.

If MA have gone out with the fact there had been some locks, it would probably have relieved the mind for the people who were locked for "secondary" reasons, they would know "I know I'm locked but now I know it's just a precausion and nothing I'm directly accused of, and that I will get unlocked as soon as my trades have been sorted out". And other people who suddently maybe see friends locked ingame knows that the locks this time is not necessarily a sign that their ingame friend is a scammer. (The scammer's friends probably already know the fact that avatar x, y and z i locked - informing that there is a mass-lock in place probably won't be more info for *them*).

Im very sorry to hear that people are still locked from game. Its also extremely frustrating to realize in what extent MA / SDS just refuses to give a single sh*t about communication. They packed their stuff for a permanent holiday on ivory-tower !

If there was some sort of 'general' information to why secoundary accounts were locked i would feel better about this...
but it just added stress to my life.

I don't think there will ever be an announcement as in depth as "you were locked because of trading/dealing with x, y and z" because it would be a breach of x, y and z's confidentiality. In a real world situation, if someone was disciplined at work, the management would be hung for letting that kind of information leak.

An apology however, wouldn't go amiss.
 
Since I started, I heard everywhere that trust takes years to settle in this game...
Maybe you not heard those kind of things before, dunno, but if you trading at Twin with the first coated dude, know you taking some kind of risks.
 
I really doubt that MA will ever make a public statement about the specific reason for the locks. And I doubt that they will even tell the people who get unlocked. I would sure hope that they tell anyone who gets perma-banned why they got banned. It remains to be seen if there will be any bans and if those people will actually go public with the details.
 
lol... i just made a depo... went out hunting, and bam, locked account... this is awesome, i think this is definatelly the last straw for me, i can deal with loot just turning to shit cuz some1 at ma wants more money, i can deal with all the bugs constantly in MA's favor (i.e. you fail on your shots, you dont get decay but the mobs regen and your armor takes the extra damage...) this is the last straw though, i did nothing and now it looks like my account will be locked for weeks at least right after i made a depo, if not permanently banned.

cheers MA, youve lost another customer.
 
Stop stupid complains.. No one is locked w/o a reason..

1st - You either dealed with wrong people.. (You know the deal was too good, but now you are doing like i am innocent i did nothing... )

2nd - You are one of the exploiters

3rd - You are unlucky that you mined a lot and you are locked because they need to check your history.. In that case you are innocent but you should be happy someone found out that there is an exploit going on and that it will be most probably sorted out, because its you who was loosing peds because of it!


And all the people should realize that the fact MA have not found out sooner is only good sign that they are not completely manipulating the loot ;)
 
i dont see how this is a good sign of anything besides a sign of a bad game made by very crooked people getting alot worse, i went and looked at how much time and money ive spent playing this piece of junk for nothing... good riddance, i hope it stays banned so i have nothing to come back to....

i think ill go flush money down the toilet, eventually it will clog, some of my money will come back up.... theres EU for you.

You are either addicted gambler, or a stupid person.... I would say it will be good for you if they keep you banned :D
